Such a low pedigree of mechanics. I took my car to AAA last week because one of my windshield wipers was not working. The gentleman who attended to me said it would cost me $199 diagnostic fee and they would have to open up the entire box to see what the problem was and maybe even replace the motor which was at least a few hundred dollars. Luckily they were not able to accommodate me the same day and ask me to come in the next day Since I am a complete dodo when it comes to mechanical fixes, I had another mechanic look at it today and he literally spent 12 seconds to tighten an exposed bolt and get the wiper to work again and didn’t even charge me for it! If the AAA mechanic had done this for me I would be writing a 5 star review on how AAA cares about its premium members but instead he tried to pull a scam on me. Shame on you AAA and the last time I trust you and come by your shop!

What a wonderful shop! I made my appointment online and within 20 mins received confirmation of our appointment. When we showed up, we were take right away because of our appointment. The shop is clean, bright and the team are nice, courtious and friendly. We got the pleasure to work with Thomas, service rider, for my mom's vehicle. pricing was not bad. there was a hiccup in getting the vehicle back on time, but that was not due to the shop but the parts company losing our part. Thomas made sure we got our vehicle back repaired correctly and as timely as he could. I recommend this shop and will be bringing our vehicles back. Thank you guys!

Great shop and great technicians. I called up for a mid day appointment and they were able to take me in and still able to complete the work before end of the day. Kevin ans Thomas service advisors took good care of the car and were responsive enought to explain me understand the issues and apply the right fix. Great facility had wifi and clean environment to work and hang around. Absolutely dog friendly location and lovely staff.

I called AAA repair in Hayward because my car had a grinding noise in the front end, I spoke to Thomas Chapman he took care of everything and within about an hour he called to let me know what needed to be done and a couple of hours my car was ready to pick up. My car is older and needs some work so Thomas was nice enough to put together a list with cost so that I knew what I was up against. Thanks for everything!

What a positive experience! Facility was great to be at to relax (coffee/ television/ tables chairs/ couches) My car stayed overnight so they gave me a free Lyft home. The diagnosis of my vehicle was not good news but my dealer warranty will cover the repairs so they put it back together. Thomas even offered his assistance to have the dealer call him for the details that were discovered by AAA. They offered a few services that were needed as any good business would do but I declined at the time to have my immediate vehicle issues taken care of. I worked at a service station 35 years ago and the commitment to make the customer feel at home/ communicate to them with empathy due to the situation they are in/ care for them as if they were your best buddy and go the extra mile, were all present with Thomas at AAA. It’s wonderful to see old school customer service alive and well in a new service manager today! Thomas has earned my trust/ future business for the excellent job he and his team did for me and my family!

I have never been to a aaa auto repair center with such blatant lack of care for customer experience and opinion. I am not sure if it is because of the typical clientele, but not only were the charges for a diagnostic not typical, but any degree of upset will set you back. They will not provide notice or any other basic customer service one would expect if you aren’t the type of person to tap your card and smile. There is no reason someone who was requested to show up when they open to not only not be provided any service at all, but be told their car could not get serviced in time 20 minutes before closing. Good thing I decided to head back early, otherwise I would have not been able to pick my car up. My car was in the same spot i left it in at 8:30 am. Good choice for people who don’t know what to expect, price and service wise, when going to a mechanic.

Stay away from this place! It’s scam! They’ll charge you $275 for diagnostic every time, and they’ll tell you it’s a small fix, but then later they tell you there’s more problems that are urgent otherwise your car will die down. Kevin and his team doesn’t have a tiny bit of ethics, stay away.

Had a great experience getting my Volvo repaired here. Water pump went out and took the thermostat with it. While diagnosing the cooling issue, they noticed a motor mount was cracking. I decided to have that addressed too as long as everything was taken apart. Now the engine is cool and the car drives super smooth. Tom, the service advisor, kept in communication the entire time. 5 stars, great service.

I took my car in because i was noticing white smoke coming out the vents. I was pleased to find out i just needed my air cabin filter changed. They also noticed i needed my hoses changed so i got that done also. Much better service than going to the dealership. Plan to return for my oil change

Hi, there all and definitely AAA members they are up front with the prices and they are expensive recommend checking out other mechanics. This implies to Members as well our 10% discount does not help Upon dropping my vehicle off May 8, 2024 I met a young man named Thomas he was very informal and understanding to what I asked to be completed to my car which was for my Thermostat housing and serpentine belt be replaced ($1158 dollars)he let me know parts would not arrive until the next day in the afternoon time and vehicle should be ready by end of day Friday. I was fine with that, comes middle of the day Thursday I get a call form another service advisor name Kevin telling that my parts came in and they would like to run a diagnostics reading on my vehicle. “My vehicle did not have a Check Engine Light on when dropping it off Wednesday ”. He proceeded to tell me what if the leak where I think it’s come from is not where it’s leaking. Which I know it was because I had just gotten my transmission fluid change by AMMCO a week earlier and they recommended the replacements above. I even came in with the invoice form AMMCO for the services need At that point I informed Kevin I do not have an extra $188 dollars for a diagnostics now if it was recommended at the point when I dropped off the vehicle , it would’ve made sense, but I told you what was going on with my car so therefore I expect for that to be fixed. He than goes on for a bit trying convince me that I don’t want to spend money on parts if that’s not the issue i again let him know I understand where he’s coming from but I do not have a check engine light on. By end of the call. He let me know that OK since I didn’t do the diagnostics there might be something else going on with the car if that’s not the final result after the thermostat housing & serpentine belt is change. And that he had to let me know, im like thank you for let me know. Friday May 10, 2024 I get an call back from my original service advisor at 1:25 inform me my vehicle is ready for pick up and that it had a misfire in engine cylinder 2 when technician took it for a test drive and that they had cleared my check engine light when it popped up. I let him know that I will not be in until an hour and a half later to pick up my vehicle which he said was fine. Made it around sometime 3pm to pick up my vehicle which then I went to finish paying the rest of my bill and then Thomas walked me out to my vehicle show me what they fixed and then said what they replenished, as far as my coolant fluids. At that point he let me know the other recommended services that they seem may needs to be fixed. I told him thank you and went on my way. Now I live a good 25 minutes away from this place and my vehicle started smoking as I’m on the freeway now I’m about 15 minutes away from the shop and my car is overheating. Unfortunately, I could not have made it back to the shop because all my coolant was out of my vehicle. Due to my radiator hose, not being connected to my radiator because of the clamp was not tight. Had pulled over good thing my brother was with me. I called AAA Hayward at 3:45 pm back and spoke to Thomas and he informed me that they were going to be closing within the next hour in half, that they don’t have a technician that can look at the vehicle right at the moment, but I can get it towed there and leave it. ( They have a very accessible parking lot, Did not feel comfortable leaving vehicle) And then they can check it out Saturday morning. I’m asking. What do you mean get it towed there and then having you guys check it out the next morning. I’m like that was dangerous man I was on the freeway and my car is just smoking out of nowhere and slowing down. I’m like I know it’s not your fault but I need to speak to a manager. Of course the manager never comes to the Phone , but recommend me to get the car towed quickly and maybe they can probably fix whatever the issue. I got my car towed to my home and had planned for my car to get towed back there but I feel uncertain about their business.

Had an electrial issue where all the lights on my dashboard came on. Took it into the dealer because they were close to where I worked. They diagnosed the issue along with some other things that they said needed to be fixed. My car is over 10 years old and never had any major issue until now. Unsure what to do, I decided to get a 2nd opinion and took it to AAA Auto Repair in Hayward. It was the same recommendation but less expensive. Also I felt the service advisors were more understanding and explained things more in a manner I could relate to. Bottom line it was a wonderful experience. My only complaint is the shop wasn't closer to me!

Today I was at the location on mission blvd to get a part fixed and possibly get a quote. I met Thomas and I inquired about pricing, but he was so disrespectful, rude and told me he doesn’t like to talk. I was embarrassed, because I thought maybe I was not dressed enough to be respectful or being colored. I left and went back the second time to speak with someone else. The second time I went to Kevin. Kevin was so respectful and kind. I was able to get all my questions answered and fast too.

On my first visit to the AAA repair center, I arrived promptly for my 2pm appointment after finding a bolt in my rear tire. The center was busy, so the repair took about 2.5 hours. As a AAA member, I received a 10% discount and paid nearly $35. Thomas assisted me professionally and apologized for the wait. I would return but prefer to leave my car next time. Everything else was great.
