Great customer service on multiple levels from Steve and Roger. Steve provided very efficient service over the phone and had my order awaiting upon arriving. After receiving the order for tire rods and couplers, it was determined there was a defect on one of the tire rods. Roger was instrumental in helping determine that the defect was with the tire rod and not the coupler! Problem solved. Thank you for the great service!

We approached Melvin (Shady S. Is the name on the receipt) to ask the difference between two products and his response was “ How would I know you didn’t even tell me what you drive?” After retrieving the product we needed we went back up to him to pay, and he didn’t want to put his ranch Cheetos down to cash us out, when he did, he wiped his fingers on his shirt. He flicked his finger at us to tell us to turn the product around for him to scan. Never once smiled and had an attitude towards us the whole time.

Melvin was excellent!! I arrived 20 minutes to closing as I needed my battery replaced and although another employee commented on the time, Melvin was courteous, efficient, professional and really helpful to me. Melvin completed the job in under 20 minutes and never complained about the time, the blistering Myrtle beach heat, or the fact that my battery wires required more work than necessary to complete the job. Nevertheless, Melvin is the guy you hope to assist you at Advanced.

Roger turner was absolutely amazing. I was on vacation with my kids. Had no one anywhere close to here. And Roger treated me and my kids like family. I am super happy that he was at this store and his customer service was incredible. Thank you again Roger, you are someone that I will not soon forget thank you for everything. From me and my kids to you.

Guy wasn't real friendly but he knew where everything was that I asked for & he took me right to it. Approached me right away after walking in to help me. Was not pushy, in the way or trying to sell me all kinds of stuff.

I needed to make a return. I made the unforgivable mistake of spilling coffee on the receipt. All information was still legible. Employee immediately said he could not accept the return. First, because of the receipt. Secondly, because it was not purchased at that store. Thankfully a functioning employee walked up and made the return in less than a minute.

I'm not sure when this store opened, but I've lived here over twenty years and in that time I've given this place three chances. Simply saying "your employees are unprofessional" would be an understatement. Either hire or train better. I'll be taking my business elsewhere...I like being treated with respect.

The 5 star review is for a specific employee and not the store in general. One employee was great, one was pretty rude though, through visible attitude/annoyance with being asked questions, and passive aggressiveness. Even the rude one was still (somewhat) helpful, anyway, but still rude. And he gave me the wrong part number anyway for a rear turn signal bulb for a Kia Optima Hybrid. Now the main star of the review: I forget the gentleman’s name, but he was a fairly young man in his 20’s or 30’s, I believe he had dreads (I had a lot going on in my mind at the time), but one thing I DO remember is he had a “bull-type” nose ring (just hoping he gets identified! I know the managers will know who I mean with that.) He helped me right away, tested my battery, then found my correct battery, and even installed it for me even though it’s a hybrid and in the trunk. He had a positive demeanor the whole time, and never seemed annoyed or objected to doing his job. Had a smile and was polite the whole time. He even had to find a battery that only had one left in stock and he found it in less than 5 minutes. Honestly almost everybody I had encountered that day had been miserable to deal with, except this guy. He got the job done, well, fast and was positive and upbeat the whole time. He installed the battery and even removed my old subwoofer amplifier power cable also in less than 5 minutes. Despite the store being quite busy and understaffed, a younger white guy not doing much to help anyone, just walking around in the back with a spray bottle and a rag, and the older rude white gentleman who looked up the bulb while the nice guy was looking for my battery. After he looked up my bulb, he just started pushing a cart around with two old batteries on them aimlessly. Both of them let a line build up while the cool and collected gentleman still handled my battery change with efficiency and grace, and then went back inside and immediately quickly took care of the line while the two white guys continued to do a bunch of nothing (the one younger one who was just walking around with a spray bottle in the back the majority of the 25 or so minutes I was there, he helped only one customer the whole time I was there, and the rude old one who only helped me find a bulb type, gave me the wrong type, and seemed very angry the whole time he was helping me, and then went back to just pushing around a cart with two old batteries back and forth aimlessly). Id say those two guys are fairly worthless employees, at least from what I saw, and the younger gentleman with the nose piercing who helped me is an extremely valuable employee and should be given a raise. Efficient, cool under pressure, fast, and positive attitude. I feel like if I was in his position and had to deal with the exact same situation, I would have walked out after I had trouble finding the single in stock battery. Again, impressive he found it in only about 5 minutes. Please give this guy the credit, rank, recognition, and pay he truly deserves.

I have no choice but to give this particular store a 5 star rating. Melvin is the associates name that so graciously took his free time to help me with a flat tire. I never had to lift a finger. He did all the work himself. He was actually off for the day, and returned to retrieve something he forgot. I can't say enough good things about Melvin. He's kind and giving, and professional the entire time. Not one wrong word. I can only hope they (the company) treat him like the great employee he is. Thanks so much for the help Melvin. You're the best. Laney

I am very disappointed with the service I received today, today I went to the store with my father because he was looking for some parts for his vehicle (my father does not speak English very well) since we arrived a guy named "Jason H" served us with a very unpleasant attitude, which my father and I ignored, my father had problems asking for some "brake pads" the guy started treating us even worse telling us that he did not know what they were to which my father went and pointed to them but even so it seems that the guy did not understand him after that he said to us "tell me if this is all you are going to want so you do not have to go back and forth again" I understand that he did not want to go back to the counter just for a little oil but I believe it is his job to try to serve people well, after all that his partner spoke to him and said "how are you" and Jason replied "this guy who drove me from one place to another" to which I said "what you said" and he only said to me "what kind of brakes do you want" I replied "I heard what what you said and I understood it too” he didn’t make any comment about it and his attitude changed a lot when he knew that I did speak English and that I understood what he was saying, it’s not fair to treat people who don’t understand a language badly just because you know that they are not going to understand you, if you know that you don’t like a race of people, why expose yourself to having to take care of them?

It was fine, gentleman was professional and helpful, though it would have been nice if he'd offer to put my wiper on like they do at Autozone

Took a competitor’s battery in to be checked. Was intentionally lied to saying the battery was bad just to sell me theirs(salesman admitted it). A new battery wasn’t the problem and I knew there was no refund because I plugged it in. Car was maybe 60 yards away in the next parking lot. Called to make sure and of course “no refunds on used batteries”.

Dishonest Service — Avoid This Place Took my car in today to have the battery checked, and right away a guy came out with a testing machine. Within minutes, he claimed my alternator was bad — despite barely looking at anything else. Something didn’t feel right, so I went to a reputable auto shop down the street for a second opinion. They performed a full diagnostic and confirmed the real issue: a bad cell in the battery I purchased from this same location last year. The alternator, which had also been replaced last year, was in perfect condition. Instead of honoring the battery warranty, they tried to blame the alternator to avoid responsibility. Completely dishonest and disappointing. Do not buy a battery from this place — save yourself the trouble and go somewhere reputable.
