It is Christmas Eve 2024 and my car battery is giving me trouble. The dealership wanted $650 to replace it. I stopped by Advance Auto Parts on Harvey Road in College Station. An extremely positive and helpful young man named Paris quickly tested and replaced my battery in just a few minutes. I would have expected workers on Christmas Eve to be less helpful, but I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you Paris for a job well done!

Edits in response to the reply: Nothing in particular, just overall had a good experience with the store, they were courteous and did a good job in terms of looking for parts, comparing specs, and taking the time listening to and fulfilling customer's needs and contributing to solutions (such as looking for alternatives, etc.). Not every business has such patience nowadays. Original review: People working here are very attentitve, good experience so far.

Great staff and selection at this location. I had an issue with replacing the bulbs on an aftermarket set of headlights on my Tundra. Rafe (Raif), one of the team members took 30 minutes out of his day to help me find the right bulbs and replace them. Great guy and unexpected service from a chain auto parts store. Will be back.

I drove an hour to my closest store in College Station and needed a RV-Marine battery. They didn’t have the battery I needed for my RV. So I purchased one for pickup the next day and they said they would call me or text me when it arrived at the store. That didn’t happen. They said it would be there by 3:45pm at the latest. I called them at 5:00pm and asked if they had it and they did. I drove another hour to get it and picked it up at 6:00pm. Just saying bad customer service.

Yall. Talk about real people who understand. My battery died and I called them at 8:35pm to see if they have a battery in stock for me and if they could install it for me. Keep in mind this is 25 minutes before closing and I have about a 10 minute drive to get there. Deedee was the lady on the phone who helped me and said to come on it and they would help. I was DESPERATE. I couldn’t miss work the next day to get this done. So they totally helped me right before they were closing. Angel was the service tech and was great! Take your business here! Highly recommend them.
