Got into an accident while visiting from out of town on NYE and wasn't sure if the car was safe to drive back home...so lucky that Al's answered the phone! It was a relief to find a crew that was professional, kind, and knowledgeable (we called several other shops and got no answer/they were closing early for the holiday). Al's got us back on the road within a few hours at a fair price, while they were clearly busy and the docks were already full. Probably could have charged us a LOT more if they wanted to take advantage but they didn't. Good auto mechanics are worth their weight in gold. If I were local, this would be my go-to in a heartbeat!

Was absolutely an excellent service my wife and I received!! Our Fiat was idling real hard, then the check engine light started flashing. I called the shop and Augustine said it was okay to drive to the shop as it was just misfiring. From there I was already in his trust. He talked to me and within a few minutes he had already diagnosed the problem! He asked me to just walk to AutoZone down the street, pickup four spark plugs and two ingnition coils. I was there for about 30 minutes before I was up and running again! Parts cost me about $175 and he charged me $75 for labor. I was ready to pay $300+ since we were driving from Bay Area to PHX to see our family for Christmas. Was so happy Augustine got us on the road in less than an hour! Highly recommend this business and their services!!! 5 stars!!!

Such a great mechanic. We break down and have no idea what's going on. Thankfully we roll into Al's auto and meet Augustine, He knew exactly what was wrong and told us that since they are already closed, he will have it ready for us by 12 noon tomorrow. He tells us where we can stay and even asked if we needed to barrow his phone charger. We stay down the street at a nice motel and as we're walking back the next day he calls us right at 12 to let us know the car was done. Such a great experience thank you Augustine! It was a fair price as well!

Had to get a tire patched and they took me right away. Within 15ish mins the nail was out, the tire was pumped back up and back on my car, and I paid a quick 20 bucks and I was out of there. Quick service, no questions asked, no attempts at an upsell or insistence that I'd need a new tire. Great all around experience.

It's weird because I was happy that they took my car due to no other mechanics willing to handle my electrical issue. My problem is that they've kept my car for 3 weeks without really putting any work into it. They've given me a quote that I paid for which I've found out later was not needed. When I got my car back, there was scratches on it when they've pushed it to a wall, the tires had damage thst I didn't have when I gave it to them. To make a long story short. Another mechanic fixed my issue for $160 vs. this shop charging me a total of $800. I guess that's how thing work in Pasadena. Mechanics think people will pay for anything. SMH. By the way, this was at the 590 N. Lake location in Pasadena, Ca.

Absolutely top-notch. As a woman, I’ve had my fair share of bad experiences with shops that try to take advantage or dismiss my concerns — but this business was the complete opposite. Went for a brake bleed. That went well enough. However, one of the techs overtorqued a wheel nut when reinstalling the wheel so heavily that the entire wheel can no longer be removed without going to another auto shop. This was despite me specifically cautioning them not to use too much torque to tighten the nuts. Price is fair but this was sloppy.

As a woman, I fear the mechanics like someone would fear the dentist. But Al made me feel taken care of that he explain how my car ended up not working properly and with respect. There was no condescending tone or inconvenience felt- at all. And that makes such a difference to customers who are women! My alternator went out while driving on a Sunday morning. I'm a contractor & my truck is my life. I was an hour away from home & unfamiliar with Pasadena. I called whoever was open which meant just a couple of shops. Pep boys wanted me to sacrifice my firstborn. Luckily for me, I had stopped at Autozone to test my battery. As I waited, I found Al's auto shop literally walking distance from Autozone. Agostino looked at my truck quickly & told me to go grab something to eat & he would have the truck fixed for HALF THE PRICE of Pep boys. I was nervous about going to get tires because as a woman going to a mechanic shop you just never know. BUT Al’s Auto is the best in Pasadena. The owner Mr.Augustine was so kind and explained exactly what needed to be done. I needed all new four tires and it was a quick and an efficient services. Friendly staff and respectful.
