After reading some of these reviews I noticed some people just need to grow a pair. Yes Sully is gruff and not much for customer service, but he and his one other staff person run that shop. No pretty receptionist, no glitts and glamour, just trannys all day everyday. If you want someone to fluff your ego, go elsewhere. He gets it in to get it out. Every tranny shop that I called, which was about every one in Madison, wanted $1200+ more for a junkyard tranny swap. Some places call themselves a tranny shop, but have never seen the inside of one. I went in not knowing what to expect and within one minute I knew this was where I was going to have my transmission serviced just by Sully's knowledge of my particular issue and his straight to the point answers. He had my car towed in on Tuesday and was done Friday morning. Considering my car was known for having tranny problems, Sully rebuilt the whole thing, in house. Most shops send them out and then up charge you. Now my car runs great and shifts even better. And no I have had no prior experience with this shop nor am I a friend of his. So if you want it fixed right, affordable and with a warranty without all the frills, go here.

This is the best transmission shop in Madison! Sully will do whatever it takes to get you back on the road again. He always offers a 1yr 12xxx mile warranty and abides by it religiously. This shop is honest and hardworking, if you don't want to get bamboozled come here if you do, go elsewhere THANKS SULLY

If I could give this business zero stars I would, do NOT take your vehicle to get serviced here! They have a bbb sticker in the window but if you go on bbbs website they warn you they are not affiliated with them. Family member went here and spent $2500 to get the transmission rebuilt on his truck and 2800 miles later it failed. When he called alltranz they told him they were to busy right now and couldn't look at it and to bring it in the following week. When he did bring it in they told him the same thing and didn't want him leaving the truck with them. So he brought it back once more( all on a tow truck, which isn't cheap) to get serviced and they pretty much told him he must have abused the truck because they have never seen a transmission that bad in 40 years. He literally drove it back and forth to work. Then they charge him another $600 to fix it again. When he picked the truck up the 2nd time the owner tells him that his cooling lines are starting to leak and he wouldn't fix them. Only a matter of time before the trans fails again from low fluid. So if you want to spend over $3000 to get your transmission rebuilt and have it fail in less than an oil change, then have the owner tell you it's your fault this is definitely the place to go! DO NOT GET SERVICE HERE!

When the transmission went out on my Acura MDX, the repair quotes were so high that I would have had to scrap it. I called Acura for their opinion and they recommended I call All Tranzmission. I called late on a Friday afternoon and Sully picked up and he knew right away from my description I needed a new or rebuilt tranny. I quickly found out what Acura already knew ….. he knows Honda/Acura and is an expert at rebuilding Honda/Acura transmissions. Sully was extremely patient with me and spent a good amount of time explaining everything. And the best part was he could rebuild my transmission for a price I could justify, allowing me to keep the vehicle I really do love. As far as the actual repairs ….. Sully told me if I had it at his shop first thing Monday morning, it would be done Wednesday. I had it towed over Sunday and got a call Wednesday morning it was ready! When I went to pick it up Sully was gone but Joe helped me and he was equally patient with me, explaining any and all questions or concerns I had. Both Sully & Joe were great to deal with. Thanks to both of you …. my MDX is back on the road and running great!

Extremely helpful, quick and affordable. Sully and his team were able to quickly diagnose the problem and fix it within only a few short days. Their door buzzer isn't working at the moment so you might need to wait patiently or get someone's attention. I thought Sully was very friendly and helpful. One of his team alerted him that I was in the office and he quickly came over. Thank you for your hard work! :)

I had my transmission rebuilt here and couldn't have asked for better services. Nice place, fast turn around, dropped off on a Monday, picked up Wednesday morning. Would recommend getting your transmission rebuilt rather than replaced in most cases.

I was on my way home from Minneapolis when my transmission gave out on my 06 Trailblazer. I was basically stranded looking at a $4000.00 repair. My husband contacted Sully who offered to come and pick up my vehicle (and me) for only the price of gas. He rebuilt my transmission basically overnight and at a fraction of the cost. Truck developed transmission issues over the weekend, I showed up Monday morning, Sully said he would need a few hours to diagnose because he was working alone. I left the truck with him, he diagnosed it, and gave an estimate within the hour. I scheduled the repair for the following Monday, he had me back on the road the following day. Sully was fast, fair and my truck has worked flawlessly since. I would recommend All Trans for all transmission repairs, Sully knows his stuff.

Mr. Sully diagnosed my transmission problem and offered to me a very reasonable price to replace my transmission. Prior to bringing my truck to him, the truck cut off and could not shift to 3rd or 4th gear. Mr. Sully, diagnosed my issue and gave me a very fair price to replace the transmission. The truck purrs like a cat now and the V-8 engine roars like a lion, as, it pulls hills and plows through the snow like a Ford should. I am very happy with how quiet the truck is now. You can hardly tell that it is running. Mr. Sully, knows his job and goes the extra mile to satisfy his customers. I would definitely recommend him to others.

My transmission totally went out last Friday afternoon. After calling a few places I called All-Tranzmission Service early Monday morning and explained the problem to Sully. He was very knowledgeable and described the problem in great detail right over the phone, as well as providing an estimate for the repair. Clearly this guy knows his business. Had my vehicle to his shop by 9 am that same day. Two days later he called and said my truck was all done and good to go. He rebuilt my transmission good as new, and the cost was below the estimate which was a pleasant surprise. Picked up my truck and he explained again what the problem was and provided some details on the rebuild and what to expect regarding the operation the first few miles. My truck runs perfectly! His work was top notch and I highly recommend taking your vehicle to him if you need transmission work. Thanks Sully.

Took my 14 vw routan in about may last year, did the rebuild, there was a part that he showed me that needed replacing in addition to the rebuild, nothing out of the ordinary. However he said it still wasn't working and he thought it was the computer. Took it to a dealership a couple weeks later and after $200 they told me the computer was fine. That was the start of the 6 months of back and forth with Sully who seemed to drag his feet at every chance he could get, sometimes rescheduling over and over again until it was a month after he said he'd try this or that. Remember this whole spring/summer I'm not driving this thing, I'm without a car, fortunately using a cycle to get to work. In October I called and yelled at him. He yelled back (fair) and threatened to basically ghost me. After both of us calmed down we talked about what needed to be looked at further/etc. He then pulled his delay delay delay, never calling me and getting pissed when I called him after weeks of not hearing from him. "I'll call you when I'm ready, you don't call me". Anyway, he did eventually ghost me and I have not heard from him since last November. Read a lot of positive reviews about his work but in my case he was absolutely the worst on any follow up to his work. I'll remind everyone that he diagnosed the problem. So I did hear his excuses for his many many delays (two different excuses) and they might be a reason, if legit and I have no way to tell one way or another, for months of delays - to make it absolutely clear, i don't have an opinion on the legitimacy of those excuses and I kind of hate the guy so my bias on that wouldn't be worth it anyway. That said it's been almost a year. I told him as early as September for him to give me my money back but he pretty much ignored that completely. About $4k in total spent between the computer diagnostic, his rebuild and the part he replaced (that was something like 2-300).

I was a bit hesitant after reading some of these reviews. But... the service I received from Sully was awesome. He texted, he called, and was easy to talk to. My truck is driving like new. I would recommend him every chance I get.

These are some of the most rudest people ever. Their attitude maybe the down fall of this business. I called earlier this morning. And I asked if Justin works there, this Guy that answered the phone was so rude. In addition to speaking with I guess is the owner about an appointment time that was never mentioned in the estimate. He kept asking what was the price he quoted, I explained to him that am ok with the price, but you never spoke about your availability. He constantly kept asking me about what was the estimate that was given. Again, I'm ok with the price. I don't know if he wanted to charge more than the 5,000, or what. Than he asked, what can I do for you?? After I never repeated his quoted price, he said with a loud voice, There's nothing I can do for you. Wow.

Transmission failed on my Chevy Tahoe. I worked with Salvatori Cefalu to troubleshoot and ultimately rebuild the transmission. He was proactive and candid throughout the process. The service and value was excellent.

Actually kind of heartbreaking to have to change this review from a five Star too a one. I have dealt with this shop and the people who own it for over 30 years and I always thought we were friends but when my daughter‘s transmission failed for the third time and was no longer contacted by the shop or got any responses to any of my messages I moved on, went to another shop only to find out from many other people that they have had the same issues.
