So they over charged my grampa after a motor swap and gave the car back with bad cv axel after my gramps gave the them 8 thousand. I am now swapping the second cv axel and find out out the only put 5 of the 6 cv axel bolts back. This place is a scandal

Abe the owner and Caesar the manager were our hero’s on what very well could have been a horrible day by doing a same day leaking coolant and thermostat sourcing and repair. As my Dad and I started our road trip from Los Angeles to Austin, Texas to move me into my senior year of college, we just left Indio going on the 10 East when our car was leaking coolant and overheating. After getting towed to their great shop we arrived around 3pm. They went above and beyond and we’re able to not only source a new thermostat but quickly and properly fix the car up and get us back on the road at 7 pm. Not only did they work past their closing time for us but made the overall experience very calming. There’s no place I’d rather bring my car to then them. With friendly mechanics and accommodating time frames this is the place to be. Shout out to the whole team at Autobahn Garage for getting me to school on time and fixing my car!

Great people! I was referred to Autobahn Garage. I wasn’t sure what to expect, being a female with no knowledge of cars (I was sure I was going to be told that I had a whole load of things wrong) My car wouldn’t start and had so many warning lights on I was concerned. I called them up and had to make an appointment as they were so busy. They told me to have my car towed over there and they would look over the rest. They told me that they would have to do over 3 tests on my car for each problem and to start with that would come to about $400. I bit the bullet and said go ahead. I was called three hours later to be told that it was my battery and the electric system had to be reset that is what was making all the lights come on. They fixed my problem and I walked out of there with only paying $550. They surely could have made a lot of money out of me but they were honest and a pleasure to work with. Thank you autobahn!!!

I recommend this place they keep this Establishment nice and clean., The owners of the business are excellent always so friendly. I was hoping this could have become my new, trustworthy mechanic in the desert. What a mistake! They broke my hood latch release and would not take responsibility for it. They insisted that I pay for the part, and they would pay the labor???? What the heck is that. It's THEIR SHOP. Cannot get into engine, it's a nightmare. Maybe if they took responsibility for what they did, this review would be so different. Find another trustworthy mechanic, not here for sure.

Was just a fuse but scams me repairing more. Bad business My advice to anyone working with them if they promise you a price, get it in writing and get them to sign it with you before the work is done, because they said it would be a certain price then after all the work the bill was double! They said they would take off labor on one part of the work but went back on that in the end price, lesson learned get what was discussed signed off so they cant go back and say i gotta pay for something they said at first would be taken off, fair game I guess because I never got it in writing the reduced labor we talked about because they just don't recall, spent thousands with them and not going back they lost my business, David was cool tho. (Edit: why I'm upset is that I was lied to in the start about price then switched up double price at the end)

Worst place ever! Don’t bring your car here at all, brought my car here one time and ever since then it’s been breaking down. With the same issue, paid them over 10k to keep in fixing the issue and it was never resolved. Had to get 2nd opinions by other mechanics, as well as my car dealership and they all said they never even fixed what they said they fixed. It’s clear that they replaced parts that had nothing to do with the root cost. Within minutes, the car was acting the same way it did when I first dropped it off. It took them over a 4 weeks to “repair it”. Don’t waste your time with them. they say they give great service but the service they gave me was robbery and robbed me of my money I don’t recommend even calling to get a quote because they will probably charge you for that too.

I advise anyone to avoid this shop Recent visit to Palm Desert had me wanting to have the front shock mounts replaced on a R129 Mercedes 500 SL. Calling a few shops to find someone familiar with these cars and who was aware of the simple and less time consuming process of replacing the mounts without removing the struts ( explained on numerous Mercedes online forums and done on other cars I have owned). Speaking with this shops owner he claimed he was aware of simplicity of the job and provided a reduced quote of $440 for the complete job and we scheduled the job to be done at 8:00 AM Monday. I arrived at Autobahn shortly before 8 and the shop was open but an unprepared, staff just rolling in, service writer ,unaware of the job, parts not ordered and completely unaware of the reduced quote. The owner was off and my time was limited so I assumed the $100 difference in the quote would be worked out the car was left with the service writer saying he would call me as soon as the job was completed. At 3:30 in the afternoon no call had been received and I called to get updated, I was told " oh ya , job was just done and mechanic is on a test drive" . I advise that I would pick the car up at 8:00 AM the next morning. Arriving at 8:00 again the shop was not prepared , work order not completed , car was not accessible , until staff rolled in at 8:15. Work order was finally presented (not corrected to match quote) and increased by another $45. I paid the invoice and advised that I would follow up with the owner direct. Getting into my car I confirmed that the mounts were replaced but when I checked the mileage it was confirmed that the car was not taken on a test drive, walking back into the shop I questioned both Service writers that contrary to their words that car was not test driven and should any shop perform suspension work without a test drive. They both just nodded their heads and wanted to avoid the issue. Realizing that their statement "my car was on a test drive" was false and the lack of concern once advised them of the fact the car was not tested is enough to forget this shop. Anyways the owner did reach out to me later in the day, and claimed that I was mistaken about the quote,and then accused me of trying to get something for nothing ( knowing full well the work order was paid in full that morning ) . I realize things happen and there will always be misunderstandings but this owner had no interest in being reasonable, no concern about how I saw his shop operate. But he was good and quick at accusing a customer of trying to get something for nothing. I would ask anyone if they would or could recommend a shop that performs suspension work on a car without a test drive, let alone ignore a quote. I assume the owner will now write some response blaming the customer ( me). Hopefully this review saves someone frustration. UPDATE on owners response Your apology is noted but it does not excuse you from not honoring the quote discussed , and only made worse by you pretending we didn't have the discussion We specifically talked about the method of installation which you claimed you were fully aware of, but I find out your staff was unfamiliar / uniformed with. The parts are available anywhere for less, but I had no problem with purchasing the parts from you. My issue is not about the money , it is you denying the conversation, the wasting of my time, and the lying that my car was on a test drive. Please respond to the review how your "Technicians " perform suspension work and do not test drive the car! you ignored that part, like you ignored our conversation about the repair method. The review is simple: your quote was not honored, your service staff were not prepared, and the staff lied when they said the car was test driven. PS If you would like to have a factory trained Mercedes Tech explain the simple installation process of R129 strut mounts to your staff just ask.

I have been using this shop vs the dealer for over a year and am very pleased with the service. Most recently I needed a diagnostic for an Issue and they tried to locate the problem but could not -- they researched and found recall information for the issue and advised I hav the dealer do the recall. They did not charge me for the diagnostic time. Highly recommend these guys

I was quoted $600 for a job by Abe on Friday and booked an appointment for the repairs today (Monday) and David pulled a bait and switch. My new quote was $1600 plus another $600 for other repairs. For a place that prides themselves on honest pricing and great customer service, I did not experience that at all. When I asked how the quote increased so much there was no explanation and when I requested to speak with Gabe, I was told he was not in the shop. I decided to book the appointment here because of the quote that Abe provided and confirmed that the price included parts and labor. I live in Orange County and made arrangements to transport my car to Indio based on Abe’s quote. Had I known the price would have more than tripled on the day of my appointment, I wouldn’t have gone through the hassle of towing my car to Indio and I could have gotten the repairs done for cheaper down locally. I had an initial review, but I erased it after speaking with Abe when I picked up my car since he price matched another quote to keep the price under $1600. Unfortunately, the nightmare experience continues. A few days after picking up my car, my parents noticed that it was still leaking transmission oil. We inspected the car and found that the new oil pan was completely covered in oil. Despite all the hassle and poor experience I had during the car repair, I was left with the same issue. I’m not comfortable taking my car back to this shop, so I’ll have to pay more to get it fixed properly at a reputable mechanic. Stay away, they are not trustworthy and do not complete the job correctly.

My 2019 black Mercedes sprinter van 2500 V6 diesel engine was choked up and breaking down on the freeway last night and the front desk gentleman. David was very polite and friendly and helped me even though he was fully booked for a couple days he sent out Ricardo Who went above and beyond to repair my Mercedes van and get us back on the road we had no place to sleep. We were stranded five stars. I probably didn’t pay them enough. My van is running amazing. I am halfway back to Phoenix that did the trick. Thanks Ricardo and Dave highly recommend!!! They were are angels today 🙏
