My 2012 Ford Fusion's shifting had started to be a little sluggish and had never been serviced. Barry's changed the auto trans fluid and performed maintenance service. Rob Mann reviewing. They stand by their work. I had a clutch replaced a year ago on my Suby Outback. Today I noticed an irregular clunking sound which I couldn’t identify, along with a perceived stiffened clutch pedal. Since I’m planning a long drive to Canada tomorrow I called and described the situation, requesting a quick look to be sure nothing dangerous was going on. They allowed me to come in today, found the (simple) and solved the problem. The clutch pedal is a different issue, not urgent, so now I can confidently go on the trip. They have earned my loyalty.

Took my 2008 Mazda here because my local mechanic doesn’t work on transmissions. It had a transmission fluid leak and a check engine light with a transmission related code. Barry’s kept it for two days and couldn’t diagnose the specific issue or give me any kind of quote to fix beyond ‘it might need a full transmission rebuild’ which the service tech ballparked at $4000 (more than the car is worth so…nope). It felt like they really didn’t want to work on the car because of its age, brand or whatever and just threw out a big number to make me go away. All in all not a positive experience for ‘specialists’. Thanks to research done on YouTube and Google I was able to diagnose, get parts and fix both issues for less than $300 and the car runs great!

They did exactly what they said they would do in a timely manner. Could certainly have a more courteous manner at the front desk. I’m pretty easy to get along with most folks, and try to be polite and friendly. But both times went in, Manager was a bit offputting.
