Lenny is straightforward and honest about what your car does or doesn't need. He and his guys there keep you updated on the progress of repairs, and has made sure to get permission before doing any work. As long as we're in the Hampton Roads area, Baucoms is our mechanic.

Great honest service. As a woman it is hard to find an honest auto repair service; They exceeded my expectations. Took care of an oil change, diagnostic, tire rotation, brake pad and rotor replacement, and bulb replacement in 3 hours. Great customer service and very sweet owner.

It's hard to find an honest mechanic but Lennie and his crew are truly a trustworthy. I've had brakes, ac, and general maintenance done by them and Lennie is always upfront and very fairly priced. It has taken me 19 years to find a great shop after my old mechanic retired and I highly recomend Baucom's.

I don't review many places but I had to say something about this shop. I usually dread taking my car in to shops and brace myself to be told something is wrong with my car that isn't what I even brought it in for. This place was completely different. I was helped very quickly and received a call nearly within an hour about my vehicle issue. They made the repairs very quickly and charged me an EXTREMELY fair price for their services. I cannot recommend them enough. I will be bringing all my vehicles here from now on.

Place is awesome. Honest work for fair prices. I called first thing in the morning to see if I could bring my truck in and eight hours later my truck is running clean with a new alternator. They do the work you ask to be done and don't try to dupe you into paying extra for work you don't need. Best place in Portsmouth to take your vehicle if you don't have disposable income.

By far the best auto shop in Hampton roads. I’ve taken all my cars here and Lenny has always provided a clear understanding of what the issues are and how he wants to fix them. I don’t even know where to start! They were so friendly and helpful. My car broke down last week and in the midst of getting it towed/figuring out what to do, they told me to bring it right over and they’d see what they could do. Within a couple hours they called me with a full game plan and quote and fully got my car up and running in just a couple days. I was scared my jeep was done for but I drove it to work today and it feels great. I’ll definitely be back for all my car’s maintenance. If you’re like me, a woman who doesn’t know much about cars/gets nervous about being overcharged, this is the place to go. They are very honest and reasonable. I’m so happy I found a place I can trust :) thank you guys so much!

I took my Subaru in for a serious oil leak. I left the vehicle with Lenny, he called me back about 30 minutes later and explained in detail what was wrong and a reasonable price to fix it. He also agreed to change my plugs while he had half my engine tore down. I forgot to mention this was the Wednesday morning before Thanksgiving. Lenny and his shop man had my car finished by the end of the day. I'm very pleased with the work they didand happy to be on the road again. I recommend Baucom Auto to anyone needing a auto mechanic. We have nothing but good things to say about Lennie and the work his has done on our vehicle. He is transparent and fair on his pricing. We were really desperate to find a good mechanic after getting ripped off by a different one.
