We were driving from Minnesota to Missouri and just outside of Des Moines my Honda started misfiring. It was 6pm on a Saturday and I couldn't stay in Des Moines to wait for a shop to open. Ben's was about to close but they said they would take a look. They scanned it, found the problem, got parts, fixed it, cleared the check engine light, and I was on my way in less than an hour. These guys were life savers!

Took my small box truck there, so they saw $ in their eyes. Charged $1100 for "new wiring to break lights" that was literally never done, plus simply putting on a new mirror on I brought with me (old easy install style too). Still same dirty wires under the truck, never touched. Added $50 onto that bill to $1150 they "forgot" for a simple light switch in the back that only lasted a week, now I can't get the lights to work.

If you are looking for a good and honest mechanic look no further. I took my car to Ben and he fixed it pretty quickly and did not charge me a lot. This was my first time using him as my mechanic was not available, and I needed my car fixed ASAP. I decided to give Ben a try and I can say I will be returning to him going forward.

I went a while back looking for Carlos auto shop thinking I was in the right spot I went in and asked if Carlos was in. A man working scoffed at me and said “you’re confused, this isn’t his shop he just rents from here”, and then just walked away. The most disrespectful encounter from that man I’m not sure if he was the owner or not but just completely trash attitude and behavior towards me. I was 18 years old at the time too.
