My mind is blown. I was born and raised in the car business so I cannot tell you how aware I am of how impossible it can be to find an honest shop and mechanic. Have seen every angle of this and George is the kindest, most caring person I've ever dealt with around the car business in any way. The absolute best. As the owner of a 20 year old truck that's no longer supported by the manufacturer I was looking for an honest repair shop to handle routine maintenance and repair. Big G is the place. Honest service advisor/scheduler, skilled technicians, and very reasonable pricing. My old beast runs like new again! Will be taking in my 03 Mustang next.

Worst mechanics! Took my car in to have transmission rebuilt, 2 weeks later finally got my car back with 992 more miles on it then when I dropped it off $4200. later and my car is worse then when I took it there. They did nothing to address the damage they did to my car nor had any explanation of why my car had 992 more miles on it.

Was referred by a friend that BG doesn't take advantage of customers especially women like myself. Has a beeping red light on the dashboard and took my car there. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER! It not only took them a whole week with my car at the shop....only to pay $300 and I left the shop with the red light still going and beeping. Bottom line is they scammed me out of that money only to get my car back in worse shape. They also told me and it's on my receipt that I need a new engine. The engine was and is in great shape. They also said I needed my right front axle replaced when all it had was a tiny rip in it but not necessary to replace. So, WARNING: DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR FOR ANYTHING AT BG Auto on Foster right behind The Skyline bar. Shame on them especially since I'm only getting a social security check monthly. They knew that and I'm an older woman so I was their perfect target. I thoroughly believe they should reimburse me my $300 as they never fixed the issue and it was worse than when it came in PLEASE DO NOT GO TO BG Auto!!!!!!

I first started going to Big G over a decade ago. I did go to a couple of other mechanics in between. However, after those frustrating experiences, I went back to George and gladly been going there ever since. He even saved us over $5000 by pointing out a warranty coverage and making a phone call where he didn't make a dime (when he could of if he were dishonest). Great job George!👍

George Has known me since I was a kid running around his shop when my Father Bruce worked for him. I'm giving him 4 stars because he is an honest mechanic and will always try to save you a buck. However he needs a better system in place to take on calls and schedule appointments I believe he and his employees would be a lot happier with some sort of a receptionist. Until then people know this. George is "Old School" And in no way do I mean this in a disrespectful manner. Just means you'll have to physically drive down there and let him check your vehicle out. He has been in this business along time and can diagnose your vehicles problem in a matter of minutes for the most part. Thanks George!

I would NOT recommend this shop if you have a newer car. Took my 2015 Jeep in and they had it for 4 months! Head gasket needed to be changed and they had to send it back in TWICE because THEIR mechanic broke it… I would have been a little more patient if they had simply communicated the situation but there was zero communication. My husband called Big G multiple times with no call back return. He had to go down to the shop just to get an update. We understand that there’s been a huge delay all around with parts and shops being able to get the parts they need in a reasonable time BUT again.. there was no communication or update on our Jeep. We finally got the car back and the inside was FILTHY. They didn’t even bother to at least clean the mats which were covered in dirt and pebbles from the mechanic… And now…. A low oil pressure light is turning on and off!!!…. Our experience was so terrible that even though we have received a warranty from Big G we will NOT be taking it back there just to have them have it for ANOTHER 4 months… We would rather have another mechanic that is professional and communicates.

I have to say I would give five stars Plus like I did before about a year-and-a-half ago. As it stands today my apologies but I have to give 3 stars. The owner is a great great man very Kind, knowledgeable, and reasonable. I took my car in 3 months ago and I finally had to go pick it up because I couldn't afford to pay for it anymore to get it out knowing that they haven't worked on it in 2 months. When I did have the money...... When I picked it up I got a dead battery completely dead he did not tell me that. This was not the owner of course, it was one of his employees who is very rude. Sorry to say by the rudeness of the gentleman, i think personally the owner is being bullied by this employee. That's just my opinion Always do business with the owner you'll get the best. .

Big G Auto repair is my family's and my go-to mechanic (for six different vehicles now). He doesn't give up on vehicles if you bring them. He's fair with his labor prices and works very hard to keep parts prices down by keeping good relations with various parts dealers nearby. I have a hunch this is also why he's so fast with normal, general part work. If there's a long wait for the repair, it's not for slack on his or his mechanic's part. (Usually the longest waits are for them to receive a part that they could only get from the manufacturer. Otherwise, it's more to do with the owner not making a decision right away for them to do the work--leading them to start on another vehicle before an answer is given.) Hard working with good humor, I trust each of them to drive me home and pick me up when the vehicle is ready (if they aren't able to complete the work that same day or if it'd take a long time.) Big G is also our choice whenever we bring a used car over to get it checked and evaluated before a purchase. George has always been straightforward with me and has been willing to breakdown the information as needed to inform me of what was wrong and what he was doing to fix it. Best time to bring your vehicle in for a swift return is Monday morning or as early in the week as you can manage. They work Monday through Friday.
