I called explaining that I had an urgent repair that needed to be done on my Volvo and they told me to bring it in the following day and they got the job done by the close of business. I'm a happy customer and this is definitely where I'll be bringing my Volvo for future repairs.

Boyle’s are owned by a couple of awesome guys that greets you with a smile when you walk in. This is a local owned repair shop in Lakewood. They have over 35 years of experience in working with Volvo’s and Mercedes. The one thing I like about them is that they are cut to the chase and realistic about any issues. This is a great alternative to paying dealerships prices on repairs.

Had my timing belt replaced there in my Volvo and they did a fantastic job! Car now runs like a champ and good for another 100k. Done in a timely matter and at a great price! Bill definitely knows his stuff, recommend to any foreign car owner!

This place deserves a zero. Why that is not an option is beyond me. The new guy is a head case. Like others have said here, he goes from zero to whack job in 2 seconds flat. He takes a dislike like to you the second you walk in for Lord knows what reason. He obviously already owns everything he's ever wanted to own and has all the money he's ever wanted to have. So he doesn't need your business in the least. That means you have zero leverage. It also means he feels like toying with you, to insult you, and waste your time, he is completely free to do so. He told me to leave my car, which I did, he did not touch the car, didn't call me at all, and then finally when I called him after two days (very carefully not wishing to trigger this powder keg), he says in the most demeaning tone possible "you come get your car" and when you ask what was wrong with it he says "how should I know" and when you ask you could've called me he says "well sorry we been busy." Having been an Army wheeled vehicle mechanic for 22 years, I allowed myself to suggest the problem was a clogged charcoal vapor canister. He cut me off so fast as though I was mouthing profanity at him, yelling "that has nothing to do with." A few days later when I took my car to Mercedes Benz of Tacoma, they called me the next day as they had promised and told me sir your gas tank charcoal vapor canister needs replacement!!!!!! Don't take my word for it, try him out for yourself.

I have had my cars serviced by Dean and Bill for 34 years. They have consistently been quick at identifying and fixing the problem. There is a very nice customer waiting area. So if you are there just to have a simple oil change. You can relax and watch TV while you wait.

Years ago. The old guys took me for thousands of dollars. Me not knowing any better. And my car still was broken down . All the time . What a scam mechanic place. Highly don’t recommend this business. Negative 10 stars.

I was surprised of the more than reasonable prices. I had an informative conversation about car oil (synthetic vs non-synthetic) and I feel enlightened. I would honestly love to just hang around and talk shop and get some pointers. I really appreciate they even reset my electronic oil monitor. I have been to Firestone and the BMW service shop both have failed to reset the monitor.

I just got my BMW back from Boyles. I had it towed there because everything just started to shut down while I was running errands. From previous experience this was exactly what happened in another vehicle when the alternator went out. It was a Friday evening so I knew he wouldn't be be open so I left a note with my info including that I thought it was the alternator and put it in the drop slot with my keys. Got the call today that it was fixed and that it was just a bad battery and the alternator checked out. I paid the very reasonable bill and went on my way. They could have replaced my alternator and I would have been none the wiser. That's integrity. They'll be my go to as long as they're in business.

First and last time I take my car to this place. Took my car in for brakes. When I picked my car up something “mysteriously” happened to the electrical systems. Bill refused to accept responsibility for the new issue. Never had the issue until yesterday. Guy acts like he’s the only Volvo mechanic in town. I’ll take my business (and my 3 Volvos) elsewhere

I recently took my Mercedes to Boyle's Foreign Car Repair and couldn't be more pleased with the experience. Bill and Dean were transparent about what needed fixing and offered very reasonable prices. Their service was nothing short of amazing. Highly recommend for anyone needing repairs on their foreign cars!

Absolutely, horrible service, the man there are very rude. They belittle you and we'll have the nerve to charge you extra for things that you wouldn't be charged extra for anywhere else. As you try to explain the problem that you're having, they won't listen yet. They just reiterate how old they are. How they're trying to get out of the building and get home instead of listening to the problem of the customer absolutely rude at its worst. The one gentleman had such a rude rushing attitude doesn't want to listen to anything that you have to say, as you describe the problem. They want to try to overcharge you for diagnostics, even if you don't need it just absolutely rude. Worst car plays around. I would not take a vehicle here. They don't care about what you need. They just care about making money. They don't care about the consumer as they talk to the consumer as if the consumer, it's meant to just give them money instead of them. Providing good service and then receiving pay. Some of the worst attitudes you will experience when dealing with an automotive place as in repair, I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone.

Consistently outstanding, timely, honest and affordable service. Just had battery replaced. Been going there for several years now for both our Mercedes. Always accurate diagnosis, they do what's needed and don't try to push more. From routine maintenance to brakes, power steering pump, power window motors, tailgate latch and more - they've always been on the mark. Always find time to fit us in. Bill and Dean are great, they have my highest recommendation.

I've never a bad experience! I have been taking my Volvos to Boyle's for over 25 years. I called this morning to ask when I could schedule my 2017 Volvo XC90 for an oil change. Bill had an opening at 1pm. I was in and out within an hour, with the oil changed, tires inflated, and the service reminder indicator reset. Dean, the mechanic and co-operator, is very efficient and thorough. If you value convenience, efficiency, and a fair price, schedule your car for service today, and tell him that Roe, the Physical Therapist, sent you!

While I normally like to take care of my own maintenance and repairs on my Volvo over the past 10 years there have been a few issues that were either too extensive or mysterious to handle myself. In these instances Bill and Dean have shown themselves to be extremely knowledgeable and friendly with their service while still offering reasonable pricing. On more than one occasion they have even just explained how to complete the repair myself for absolutely free. Boyle's offers "throw back" customer service, make/model specific knowledge and truly affordable pricing that is impossible find through the dealership network. I can't recommend them enough for service on your Volvo. I know they also service VW, BMW, Mercedes Benz and other various European makes.

I DON’T KNOW WHY PEOPLE LIKE HIM STILL IN THE BUSINESS. A rude person, run if you don’t want to lose your time, money and be treated with no respect. I spoke with this shop on the phone regarding my car I told him the problem exactly and I did explain that I tried to do some work on it at home but will not be able to finish it, so I needed to know the cost of repairing it. He said that he will give me a free assessment of the car to tell me the cost of repairing it. once I tow it to him and he gave me a phone number of a towing company he work with. I towed my car as we agreed and once I entered the shop without looking at the car. He just had a look at me ( not the car) he asked me to leave the place and take my car elsewhere then without even giving me a second to speak he run to the towing car outside the shop and told the driver not to put the car down. I was trying to understand why or what happened because I even called a hour before coming to his shop to confirm everything again and he agreed to see the car and asked me to bring it to the shop but he was so rude, disrespectful and didn’t give me a chance to open my mouth and say anything.

Finally, a mechanic that doesn’t make you want to scream into a steering wheel! Had to bring in our 2018 Volvo for Stop/Start battery service, and there was no way we were going back to the dealership in Tacoma. Their customer service is a horror story, and their mechanics? I wouldn’t trust them to change a flashlight battery. Boyles was a breath of fresh air. They swapped the battery, found another issue during diagnosis, and handled it all without drama. We hadn’t planned to leave the car overnight, but they locked it up tight and kept us updated. Software updated, error codes cleared, multiple batteries replaced—boom, done. Best part? No upselling. No “while you’re here, let’s replace your soul” kind of pitch. Just honest pricing and solid work. I left feeling like my car was in good hands—and my wallet wasn’t crying.
