Whoever the mechanic was today pulled up codes and told us replace the whole engine after a total of literally three minutes sitting in my car. We know the engine isn't dying because of how the car actually runs, in general there should be even a small indication the engine is not running right when driving and there isnt one. and he refused to listen when we told him it wasnt burning oil and that there's a small oil leak and etc. He said it had low compression without a compression test and he got a huge attitude when we said it could be the catalatic converter needing replaced when I knew the code. He literally wouldn't listen or help us figure out a solution to the two codes that popped up (even though we've researched these codes and know at least a little about what it could possibly be) and got up and walked away rudely. I had 2,000 in cash to pay for repairs that day and walked out of there never wanting to come back ever again.

I couldn't speak more highly of this place. Excellent and kind service but most of all honest pricing and reliable mechanic. If you want a mechanic that will be honest with you, give you the best deal and get the job done quick and correctly... this is the place.

Working with Brian and Mandy and Susane has been a life saver for our small vehicle fleet. We had one truck down and dropped it off late at night and it was ready the next morning early! Big repair as well, They had to change a intake gasket on that baby. Awesome prices too! may just be becuase we have so many repairs done but heck we like it!

Very friendly staff. They did a safety inspection on my truck, and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I would highly recommend them for emissions or safety inspections. Their dogs were also quite friendly!

Brian's CarSmart is a great place for all your car needs. From oil changes and renewing your tags- (who really wants to stand in line and deal with grumpy service at the DMV) The staff is super nice! They take care of your car and you! I refer everyone here.

We were on a camping trip when we discovered a gas leak on our Suburban when we got to camp on Friday night. We are from out of town, and planned on camping the whole weekend. The leak was in a high pressure line and couldn't be fixed very easily without a mechanic. Our only hope at saving the trip was to rush down to town (over an hour drive) and see if we could get it fixed on a Saturday. We called several shops, and he is the only one that took the time to check it out and see if it could be fixed. He looked at it, quickly repaired it, and sent us on our way. Without him, our camping trip would have been over and we would have been stranded in Logan until Monday. He is our hero! Thank you for making our camping trip a success Brian!

Had my heater break and it led to a coolant system issue. My car is super old and I know its just a matter of time. They told me the problem, I did my own research and decided I wasnt ready to pull the trigger. They gave it back to me no charge, which is incredible! Even though I didn't go through with the service they were professional and kind. the "magic bottle" seems to have stabilized the issue, for now. I'll see how far I can kick this can down the road. Thanks again!

Fast and friendly. I brought an older vehicle in to have work done on the front end. They advised me on a problem that needed attention and did not push the repair job just said it needed done now or in the future, but it was a concern. I respect the fact that they didn't try to say it had to be done right now. I would recommend them to anyone. #greenjimmy

What an honest and trustworthy group of people. We always are charged a fair price and they don't try to upsell on oil changes like many other oil change places. They do quick work and are fantastic to work with.

Always have come here for any issues with my car, they are always very friendly and willing to work on my car! However recently my car broke down for what I thought was a Vacuum Leak, I got it towed to Carsmart and got a call back letting me know it would be about $1,050 to fix and for a completely separate issue than what i had diagnosed. Okay, that’s fine, honestly I just want my car to work. Flash forward a little over a week and I’m pleasantly surprised to hear how quickly they got my car running! At this point I would of gave them a 5 star rate! Then boom, less than a week later I notice my Check engine light is back on and my car is boosting funny? I take a look under the hood and find a leftover tube of oil left from when they previously worked on it... Whatever I’ve worked on cars and I get sometimes it’s easy to misplace things. So I take it back it in and get quoted another $600 to fix a ‘vacuum leak’... aka what I originally took my car in for in the first place... After calling around to other places I get invoices to fix the leak for as low as $100.... Now I’m no expert but definitely not a good tactic to secure returning customers & retain business 👍 would recommend trying other options around cache valley before coming here.

Quick, friendly and reasonably priced service. I've taken my vehicles to other places around the valley before I tried Brian's and I'm saddened I didn't come here first. They answer all my dumb questions without making me feel too bad about not knowing much about cars. When I say quick, I mean an oil change in about 10 minutes! Very impressed.

“You get what you pay for” is the fitting description here. I absolutely would not recommend. A few months ago my car wouldn’t start after I parked it in a parking lot. Brian was closest so he checked it out and basically condemned my car after fifteen minutes of work. He told me that I needed to purchase a new transmission for my car since the problem was either caused by a piece of metal floating around or the gears slipping. I went out a bought a new car because I thought it would be cheaper than the quote he gave me. My friend bought the car to work on and it turns out the issue was a completely fixable transmission leak that allowed the car to run absolutely fine afterwards. He also absolutely trashed every single brand of car I mentioned that I was thinking of getting, exclaiming at one point “half the cars I have on my lot are Subarus” (I walked through that lot, they were mostly older Fords). He kept pressuring me to go to this one specific Lexus seller at the local dealership, trying to convince me that any brand of car with all wheel drive would be useless in the snow and I might as well get a Lexus sedan with forward drive for the Utah winters. It honestly gave me the impression that he was getting a kickback from this seller the way that he was urging me to buy from him.

Extremely helpful and helping me get my safety inspection, and there’s not a lot of people that offer this and he was willing and able to very quickly quickly. Such a great service, very friendly and sincere. Great customer service, highly recommend.

A life saver! Highly recommend and trust worthy. The shop was one of the few places open on a Saturday between the Idaho/wyoming border and Utah for personal cars. In the middle of a long road trip, the engine light came on with an overheated car. We pulled in right at 9am and Brian came out looked at our car and ran a couple tests. He was very honest of what he thought the issue was and what the car could take. He also taught us how to take care of it in the future. We were in n out in less than a hour, it only took longer because we were chatting! Luckily, the things he did to the car turned off the engine light and has kept the car cool all the way home. We are very thankful for Brian’s help in a stressful time of our journey!

Don’t get your Intoxalock device installed by these people. They ruined my brand new car by installing it improperly. And when I tried confront them the guy got very hostile and wouldn’t let me talk about the situation I was going threw. Save you the headache and go to the place in Ogden there multiply company’s so they actually do things right. I’d give them a negative star if I could 👎
