I will be a lifetime customer of Browns no matter where I’m at. My transmissions torque converter was starting to shutter after the whole transmission was rebuilt by Browns. Torque converters are off the shelf parts and not rebuilt in house by Browns or most rebuilders, so not even a part Browns personally rebuilt. I was a bit past the 3yr/36000 warranty. Past on years, not in miles since this truck is my tow rig and not driven often. I contacted Rex at Browns about my issues. He agreed my converter was failing and without much discussion said he wold have an exact replacement transmission built to the same specs as the last out the door in a few days. I was not expecting anything, and am still shocked that they stood by their work so well. A new rebuilt Transmission showed up day’s later painted, new internals, pan, torque converter, fluid and filter and build sheet was the same as the last. Needless to say it works great! If your having transmission issues take it to Browns!!!! Thanks to Rex and everyone at Browns!!! Wife is very happy!

Passing through Billings on a road trip, my clutch pedal was vibrating and the clutch was making noises. I tried to get it repaired but nobody could fit me in. I showed up at Brown’s Rebuild Center not knowing it was not a repair facility. No problem, Rex drove around with me to diagnose the problem and fixed the pedal so at least it wouldn’t make noises till I could get it properly repaired. He went above and beyond what he needed to do, knowing I wasn’t going to spend any money there. Then, recommend one of their customers in Rapid City who fixed the problem. Honest, stand up people. Highly recommended!

Used this place 3 different times on 3 different vehicles. They are extremely good at customer service and quick on repairs. Only thing I noticed doing 3 transmissions with them is every signal one was shifting slightly hard when I got it back but working perfectly as it should. Brought both of my first repairs back with the concern and they said it couldn’t be replicated which actually is pretty common and I don’t think it was a fib. My first two vehicles were sold weeks after repairs so how they ended up is unknown. Most recent is a work vehicle which once again is shifting slightly hard. I have the warranty so I’m not too worried about it but only reason for my four star review.

Ordered a transmission from them for my wife's suprise Ford Escape I was giving her for Christmas. Very good to deal with. He had to build a core and Christmas was only 2 weeks away, so it was a pretty tall order to have it done in time. Received it a few days before Christmas and got it installed in time! 3 months later to present. Transmission has been flawless, shifts perfectly, and no leaks. Will definitely buy from them again!

I brought my 2019 Ram Promaster high top to Browns 2 years ago and they went above and beyond. Not only respectful and diligent in their answering of my questions, they were THOROUGH in the job of diagnosing and then rebuilding my transmission. Fair price, but honestly, the way they documented, allowing me to turn the records in to Chrystler for a FULL REFUND... priceless. They guarantee their work as well, as I brought it in a couple weeks ago because something felt off. They checked my van out, did a whole maintenance and didn't charge me a thing. 100% bring your car having transmission issues to these mechanics. I tell everyone I know.
