I had an unfortunate accident in my Sienna a couple of weeks ago. My insurance company recommended this shop and the person that handled my repairs was Kelsea (I verified the spelling because I wanted to ensure she gets credit for this), she was attentive from the day I got the estimate to final repairs. My family uses this van to feed the homeless every other weekend or at least once a month so even though we don’t use it everyday, we do need it. My concerns were addressed immediately and Kelsea kept me informed throughout the entire process even when they were just waiting on parts. The atmosphere in this shop is blessed as soon as you walk in, Diana that works at the front desk greets you with a big smile and it was a seamless hand off to Kelsea who stopped her conversation with another employee to come introduce herself. It was red carpet treatment and since I’m a little shy I was a little beside myself. I don’t usually tell shops that I grew up in the automotive industry, because I want an unbiased treatment and by far this shop not only executes great quality service but the repairs were beautiful and the van was sooooo clean when I got it back! May they stay blessed and thank you Diana, Kelsea and their team for getting our van back to us in time for us to bless those in need.

I took my car into Caliber Collision for diagnostic and repair back on 2/28 after being rear ended while stopped at a red light. The other driver’s auto insurance sent me a list of repair shops to choose from and I picked this one out of convenience. I mentioned to the service member that I had been hearing a loud rattling noise following the rear impact and was told my vehicle would be thoroughly checked. Since my rear bumper was bent beyond repair, it ended up having to be replaced. Upon picking my car up at least a couple of weeks later, I noticed that my car was still making a loud rattling sound and brought this to the attention of the service member once again. His response was that the noise was not related to the accident and just “normal wear and tear.” This was the answer despite me never hearing the sound before rear impact. I also had to ask that my tire air be filled prior to me pulling off the lot, as my tire pressure warning light was clearly showing on the dashboard — not such a big deal, but a common courtesy anyway. Well, I became due for an oil change and routine maintenance. So I took my car to be serviced by a local Honda mechanic and mentioned to him also about the loud rattling noise. I had been worried all this time about driving my car too much, as I still hadn’t been given any logical explanation for the awful noise and my concerns had previously been brushed off. Within a couple hours of dropping my car off for regular maintenance, I was finally given an answer to my question. After thoroughly inspecting my car, the mechanic informed me that the exhaust pipe connected to my muffler had been bent as a result of heavy impact and was rubbing against the floor heat shield causing the loud rattling noise. He recommended that I take my vehicle into a muffler repair shop, as he did not have the welding capabilities to fix the issue in his own shop. Furthermore, he informed me that these pipes do NOT bend as a result of normal wear and tear. They can only be bent as a result of impact. In addition to that, he informed me of some fluid leaking from a hole in rusty parts (unrelated to the accident). I have reached back out to the original insurance claim adjuster in an attempt to reopen the claim for repairs. I am not happy that my car was not serviced and repaired properly the first time it was brought to Caliber Collision. I specifically asked about the rattling noise both before and after my bumper was replaced. I would like to have known about all damages to my vehicle — not just the external damage that could be seen with the naked eye — even if that meant me paying out of pocket for those items unrelated to the accident. It is a huge inconvenience having to try reopening a claim and anticipating more time awaiting repairs. All of this could have been resolved back in March had more care been given.
