I'd leave zero stars if I could. I called yesterday to see if they had time to do a standard 2 wheel alignment and how much it would cost. Lady over the phone said they could do it now and the fee was $60. Seemed a little inexpensive considering all other shops i spoke with wanted a minimum of $100. I took the vehicle in today. Ask for an alignment, and I'm immediately told there is a $49 fee just to inspect it to see if it can be aligned. Said to myself okay well that's how they get their extra 50 dollars. Then I am told they can't perform the alignment because there was a spare tire on the vehicle. I explained that the wheel was in the trunk, and it could be put on if need be. Apparently that wasn't sufficient enough. They clearly did not want to perform the service. Whole experience was shady. I suggest you keep driving right on past this unprofessional business.

I’ve read some of the other reviews And I find Disappointing that many of the negative reviews are based on price. I’m not sure in today’s world that there’s anything like an inexpensive car repair. This is my second time here and the mechanics and service lead have taken me into the garage and showed me exactly what the issues are. They’ve gone as far as to show me what is necessary and what items could wait. They’ve also showed me other areas of concern that may or may not be related to the issue I brought the car in for. Therefore, they have given me options both times as to what course of action I would like to take. In fact, they even offered potential inexpensive alternatives if certain problems reoccurred. I found their prices to be quite competitive even without coupons. I think the service manager’s name was Jamie, if you have questions he seems extremely knowledgeable and willing to take the time. The only reason I give it a four surrounds the General reception area, the chairs were pretty disgusting, I’m not sure they spend much time cleaning it and there was a borderline questionable movie playing on the TV when there were kids in the waiting area. Sometimes it’s small things like that. As for the car repair, everything seems to be great, fair prices, and quick service.

Took my car in for the advertised $70-$80 brake service. After the brought my car in inspected the brakes for an hr and a half quoted that that could replace the brakes for $80+tax. Agreed. Then they tell me it would be the next day before they could get to it because they would have to have the parts delivered. Agreed. Brought the car in, 11am dropped it off, and was told they would call me in an hr when it was done. By 330p still hadn't heard anything. When back to the shop to find out that the price had changed and now they want $780 to replace the brakes. No thank you. Here's the problem had to pay half down in order for them to get the brakes. For $80 I gave them the $80+ tax to get the brakes and finish the job. When the price changed and I denied the service I asked for a refund for the money paid. I was told they can't return my money. They would have to submit with corporate and the refund would come from them. I got a 5 page letter from corporate basically stating that they would not refund my money unless I signed the included form that said I wouldn't make any negative statements about this business publicly or I would be sued. Yeah! I couldn't believe it either. $80 lesson learned. Don't do business with another dishonest auto repair shop. Bye bye Calvert's. ZERO STARS!!!

I called on Tuesday and asked. How much for an oil change for my vehicle, gave the make and model to the gentleman who answered the phone and he stated it would be $42. So I made the appointment for that Friday. Go there get my oil changed and the lady who is checking me out says it will be $87.17, what? So I ask why so much when I was told it was $42, she said because your car takes a synthetic oil. Okay than why did the gentleman quote me $42, and of course they don't know who answered the phone or who took my appointment I will not be going back there ever.

I went there expecting my RAM needed brakes. After an hour removing all wheels, John (manager with a perfect-personality for what he does), said I have plenty more wear to experience. He didn't charge me a dime. I had him check for other things...just because of the effort, trying to find a way to pay for the time. I didn't even need an air-filter, he determined. As a cynical journalist, who has written so many stories about faulty mechanical-work, I felt compelled to recommend this dealership. Good service is expected. Honesty, unfortunately, isn't always delivered. If you even THINK something is wrong with your vehicle...go see John!

Audrey was fantastic checking me in and getting the details of the services I wanted done. The team got my vehicle done quickly. The only downside to my visit was the cost and no special deals for my service.

The personnel is so friendly since reopening. I felt so welcome. I appreciate the mechanic (I can’t remember his name) telling me the brakes and rotors were fine and gave suggestions to double check. A great experience!

The lady who gave me a quote and helped me a few weeks ago make my appointment for today, October 11, 2024 was extremely nice and helpful. Today I called to confirm my appointment and was told they couldn’t find it and then they found it, but they didn’t order the parts so that I had to reschedule my appointment that I made two weeks in advance and took off work for. Very unprofessional and disappointing. I was excited about using Calverts to put on my new rotors and brakes. Calverts didn’t bother to call me or order parts or request a deposit. I will never use them again. My vehicle was assessed a few weeks prior and I was told they had to order the parts and that is why I had to make an appointment in the future. I appreciate your response, but it is invalid and this was a case of very bad customer service. So an apology would be great

Knowledgeable, kind, communicative, efficient... they were awesome! I thought they might only do oil changes but I was lucky enough to find out that's not the case! They were able to help me with replacing a throttle body piece that gave out and then I went back a week later for an affordable and quick oil change. I've been dismissed before at other places walking in knowing what needed work, but not here. I was listened to and felt heard and seen and the issue was fixed quickly! They arent disrespectful to push you for up-sells and they are willing to answer any questions or concerns you might have. I definitely appreciate them and the work they do, and they have earned our business! Thanks y'all!

We are from out of state and we’re stranded in front of our hotel. I’ve called numerous places and I did not get barely as much customer service over the phone as this company gave me they were fantastic! 10 out a five star review super nice over the phone. They were willing to squeeze us in to get our vehicle looked at since we were out of state. We ended up not needing them (quick battery fix with AAA and not alternator like we thought) but I still highly recommended them mainly due to their customer service was by far greater than the other phone calls that I had, with two kids hanging on top of me and needing my care, anybody on the phone with me could tell that I was juggling multiple things at once. Thank you so much for helping us over the phone. Will definitely keep you guys in mind if we ever need you when we’re back in town.

Do not take your car to this shop unless you have a lawyer on speed dial. They conned me out of attempting to fix my car only for me to have issues immediately and taking it to a state of the art shop to fix the same issue. And now I’m fighting to get a refund for the part that wasn’t right for my car. Talk to two other customers with similar issues. Customers please beware these are scammers. Justice will be served I do not take it kindly for scammers to take advantage of hard working people. They are not even credited with the BBB, but that doesn’t surprise me..you are still able to file a complaint with the BBB. If you have also been a victim I hope you receive justice as well. God bless all the honest souls that still exist in this world.

Train wreck. Took my truck here for a simple fuel system diagnostic. Over 2 days they changed a dash guage and a relay fuse. 2 days!! I watched as James talked crap about his own techs, cussed up a storm and got sarcastic with me repeatedly. After spending nearly $700 and still not having the issue fixed, I refused to let them touch it anymore. After picking up my truck and limping it home I realized they forgot to put the motor cover on. I had to borrow a different car to go get it. As I got home and tried to put the cover back on, I noticed the grommets that attach it were gone. Another phone call, another "yep they're here." No apology. It was 2 days before I could make it up there to get the grommets. I called in advance. On the phone, I asked for district management contact. James utterly refused as though my question was insane, even giggling. He responded with a threat, "Well, maybe we'll lose those grommets before you get here." The lack of professionalism from him is unlike ANY auto shop I've EVER experienced. Also the diag fee being waived if you get work done only applies if you have them do ALL of the work recommended--even if the recommendations are unrelated to the issues. It's a scummy way of doing business. If you can bear it, go 3 miles north to Buddys or Family Wrench. They are real mechanics and they will NEVER talk to you like James did. Pathetic. ---PS--- I did my own YouTube research in 30 minutes and figured out the issue and it's fixed now. Good grief.

I am absolutely blown away by the service of your GM, James, and the entire service team—especially James! He went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled with care and professionalism. As a former GM of Jiffy Lube (Heartland Automotive, 103rd & Stateline), I know firsthand the effort it takes to set the right example and lead a team that delivers a top-notch customer experience. James has done exactly that, and it shows in every detail. Thank you, James and Calverts, for such a positive, painless, and genuinely outstanding experience!

Daniel is amazing. He took time out to talk to me about my repairs needed. He told me the importance of each repair and what order to replace them. I respect that he did that. Most auto repair shops See you as a dollar sign and are rude, forceful. Not here. I am now a new regular.

This review is for the experience I had at Calvert's Monday, Sept. the 29th. ^_^ Even my visits before that one were all wonderful! I'm a proud customer of that business and those running it. They have been nothing but kind, professional, and delightful. They are a bit of a ways away from where I live now, but their quality of service is more than worth the trip! Thank you again guys, for everything you do for me and the community.

Stop by Calvert's in Independence and spoke with James an advised him that I needed a new brakes on the front and possibly the back. He had his guys pull my car around within less than 5 or 10 minutes. In about 30 minutes later came back and told us that my brakes were good that there was no need to change them. I really appreciate the honesty and the quickness of how fast this place was. It is very hard to find honest people nowadays. Anybody looking to have any Services done on their car I would definitely check this place out they have really good low prices and again you can't go wrong with honest people
