My old truck was broken down for 4 years with an intermittent electrical issue. It's been in over 5 shops and I spent over $10k trying to fix the problem. No shop could figure it out and I thought my truck was unfixable. A friend recommended James and he figured out the problem in less than 4 hours and charged me less than $400. I’m really not impressed with this company. I was referred to them by my dealership, and it took over a month before this guy would return any of my calls to schedule an appointment. When he finally did call he said his next “availability” wasn’t for another month. So I turned the situation back over to the dealership to resolve this. When he finally got to looking at my problem he said he fixed it. That’s a laugh because I just got my vehicle back from another dealership that said the exposed wires that he was “supposed” to have fixed were the cause of my problems. So the reality is he didn’t do a damn thing to fix my electrical problem he didn’t the bare minimum to appease the dealership and me. I wouldn’t recommend this company at all unless you want half-ass work done.

I dropped my vehicle off for repairs and James kept saying he was looking for the parts. After close to two years he told me he couldn’t get the parts and had me pick up the vehicle. The whole time my vehicle was there he never covered it with the car cover I supplied so my dash cracked it two places. I moved it to Power Specialties and John had it done in two weeks time. I will never take any of my vehicles there again.

Second time and they just never disappoint. I used to dread electrical problems with our vehicles. They always seemed so nebulous and costly. Now having been to Certified Auto Electric I hope against hope that any issues that arise with our car might be something they specialize in. They are communicative and quick, they schedule out incredibly far but they got my Honda in on a wait-list and it was a matter of a few days. Can't recommend highly enough. We had an issue with the OBD port on our 2018 Chevy Silverado and were unable to connect to any OBD reader regardless of adapter. Certified Auto Electric was able to quickly identify and fix the issue, an aftermarket GPS pass through to the OBD. They removed the aftermarket equipment, successfully connected to the OBD, and cleared all codes all the same day of service. They were professional, efficient, and affordable. We would highly recommend Certified Auto Electric.

James is a super nice guy who explains in great detail exactly what the issue was, and how it has been repaired. I was even told by other "auto electric" shops that I should take my car to Certified, which I did. The absolute only bad thing I can possibly say about Certified Auto is that they are SO BUSY (with good reason) that you may be looking at 6-8 weeks to get an open appointment. I suggest just dropping your car off (if possible), and wait for their call. That's what I did.

James at Certified Auto Electric did an outstanding job repairing our Chevy Tahoe, that had multiple electrical issues. "Master Mechanics" at 2 other Auto Repair Shops could not fix these electrical problems. It progressed to the point that our Tahoe was not safe to drive and was basically useless. Apparently, repairing vehicles with electrical issues is a VERY specialized skill, that very few Mechanics process. James at Certified Auto Electric was highly recommended by a Mechanic that we trust. James definitely lived up to his outstanding reputation. James is extremely skilled and very prideful about the quality of his workmanship. He is a kind, honest and ethical businessman. The cost to repair our SUV was far less than we had anticipated. James consistently communicated with us and thoroughly explained what caused the problems with our vehicle and exactly what he did to fix it. Based on our WONDERFUL experience, I can highly recommend James and Certified Auto Electric without hesitation!

Easily the best service I have had in a car shop. James was very knowledgeable and quick to get my electrical issues fixed. They were very patient with me because once I realized James could fix this issue I've had the last few years, I asked him to fix a few more and they had no issue getting my backup camera going again.
