This is a very long awaited review but it was a moment that i’ll never forget and will always count my lucky stars for my 1 interaction with Chad Miller Auto Care. Back in 2019 I moved to San Antonio to attend school at UTSA. I drove down with my 1992 Toyota Corolla and had a line that was leaking that leaked all of my Gasoline out of my car essentially. Being just a girl, I looked up the nearest mechanic shop and came across Chads. I came in and although he said he only worked on cars after 1993 and I being only 18 years old, he reluctantly offered to take a look at it and fixed it anyways. I’ll forever be grateful and will never forget the kindness that Chad had shown me. Thank you

Best Auto shop in town! I have used Chad Miller Auto Care for a while now, I have never been disappointed with the work or service. They exemplify honesty, integrity, and professionalism. If you are looking for a cheap fix, Chad's is not your shop. On the other hand if you are looking to have it done right and not get taken for a ride this should be your go to shop. I have seen Chad go out if his way to stay within people's financial means and explain in great detail the repairs that have to get done to get them back on the road as safe as possible. "A fair price for great service" should be the shop motto!

I had truly the best experience here this morning! Not only were they super nice, but they got me in and out so quickly. They were just running a diagnostic on my car, not even fixing anything yet, and it was still hands down the most positive experience I’ve ever had at a mechanic. As a woman, I’ve had times where mechanics talked down to me or made me feel like I didn’t understand, but here I felt respected, comfortable, and completely at ease. He explained everything clearly, treated me like a person, and even recommended a great body shop for me. I actually called my husband right after and told him, “That was the nicest mechanic I’ve ever been to.” If we ever need anything done, this will be our go-to place. I 10/10 recommend them and I’m so grateful for the kindness and professionalism I experienced today. You’ve definitely gained a returning customer!

I had bought a used Honda accord sport and the worst happened. I had a misfire in my cylinders at 10 pm on a Wednesday night on my way to chipotle! I was able to drop my vehicle off at chads auto care and had a lovely conversation with Chad! The team did a great job fixing my vehicle and even helped out when there was a misunderstanding in the fix. 10/10 mechanical service, 10/10 customer service, and 10/10 for turnaround in fixing. They have a gained a loyal customer in me and any future fixes or chipotle runs gone wrong I will be going to Chads Auto Care first!!

As my husband was working out of town and I was visiting, we both started having car troubles. We were really worried because we aren’t from San Antonio and didn’t know who to trust. After reading a lot of reviews we decided on Chad Miller Auto. They were beyond what we were hoping for. Extremely trustworthy and fair with pricing. They aren’t trying to take advantage of anyone and are running a great business. I’m sad they aren’t in my home town. When in San Antonio, I wouldn’t go anywhere else but Chad Miller! Absolute ripoff!!! I have taken a couple of my vehicles to this place. The work was done right but the price is ridiculous! In almost all cases, you will pay more for the labor than the actual part. It cost me $1,000 to replace a water pump in my 2011 ford escape. I later learned from another shop they would have done it for $250! It took me a minute for my stomach to stop churning after finding that out. If you don’t mind wasting your money, then this place is right for you. But if you’re like me, and every dollar of your hard earned money is precious, then stay far away from this place. Plus they’re not open on the weekends. Everything about this place is inconvenient. I DO NOT RECOMMEND

Absolutely horrific service, Brought in my car at 8:00 only for it to sit on the lot for 5 hours without being seen until I called at 1:01 and I was told that no one had looked it and they specifically said that my appointment didn't guarantee someone would look at my car anytime close to it. Then they called me back at 1:49 saying that they weren't confident in any way to fix it to where they would recommend any specific service for my car. When I went and picked up my car I was told the spark plugs where moved around to see if that would do anything and it turned off my check engine light but it only lasted for a day and a half and immediately came back on leaving me back at square one with no more information than I went in with other than to never go back to Chad Miller if I want actual work to be done.

Chad Miller is the most honest mechanic I have ever met. Everyone I have encountered at the shop speaks with kindness and treats the customers with care. I made the mistake once of going to another mechanic and NEVER AGAIN. Kindness and integrity is hard to find and this is the best shop yo bring your car to if you want to be treated like a person. Business is always booming over there and that speaks for itself.

2013 F250 Diesel Attacked By Squirrels After my F250 was attacked by squirrels and multiple wires and vac hoses destroyed, the crew at Chad Miller's took time to rebuild what they could and replace what needed to be replaced. It did take longer than anticipated, but sometimes acquiring parts can slow down the repair process. I was given an estimated cost for worse case scenario, but since the crew were able to "work their magic" the final cost was WAY LESS than anticipated. I would not hesitate to take a vehicle to this establishment. As a matter of fact we have taken THREE different vehicles for repairs! Courteous, professional, and fair! I went to fix my Honda civic CV axle fixing due to leakage damage. The car was okay to drive even in highway but I was worried and wanted to fix the CV axle as recommended by MIDAS (told me during oil change). I got a reasonable price and it’s convenient from my location comparing others. When me and my went there to drop off the car and waited to see what’s the actual problem and how much it should cost and how long it should take. At one point we got the quote and decided to fix that. Then we asked if they can provide us any shuttle service and how long we need to wait because my wife was in a rush to arrive in her workplace at UTSA. Chad was rude and mean to me and the way he behaved we didn’t like it. To make thing worse after the service we drove couple days and check engine light turned on and at one point I can not accelerate the car above 25. I went again to drop off the car and to see what happened. Later on the day one of his associates called me and said it was actually transmission leak and they put fluid (3 quarters) on it and the car is working again, check engine light turned off. When I went there to pick up my car chad told me that there are numerous leaks on transmission and to fix that it will cost around $2500 and I decided not to fix at that time. After driving couple days the check engine lights back again and having trouble with the acceleration. I don’t know why it needs to have like this after having the service given that I am driving the car since 2019.

My love letter to Chad Miller Auto Care is way overdue. He helped keep my VW, that had well over 200k miles, running through the entirely of grad school, which included several months of commuting to and from Uvalde five days a week. He and his team have always been up front and honest with their repair timelines and cost estimates. They often fit me in last minute to their schedule when things inevitably went wrong on short notice. Now that I have my “new” 20-year old truck they’ve helped with a couple aesthetic repairs and when it threw a tantrum in the middle of Fredericksburg Rd., they took my panicked call and had me bring it right in on a Friday afternoon. They checked it out and explained what the likely cause was and how to avoid repeating it in the future. Everyone who works there is super pleasant and helpful. I have nothing but great things to say about Chad and his crew. I recommend them to everyone.
