Great Mechanic, been bringing my cars here to him for over 10 years now. I've everything done from brake jobs, gaskets, to total engine rebuild from a blown head i had from water getting in my cold air intake. Explains everything thoroughly and does a great job at reasonable prices, not overpriced like dealerships! I always recommend him to friends and family.

Excellent work. Very reasonable and fair prices for the quality of work performed. Honest and upfront. I have always been notified of work/cost before anything is done. Have been a customer for over 5 years and am consistently pleased with service and workmanship (and sometimes surprised it didn't cost more). It is also great to actually speak to the mechanic doing the work as opposed to a front office clerk. Expect to be a customer for life. Highly recommend David Jr.

I've been dealing with D & D Automotive for over 5 years for all my car needs and I can honestly they would no other place I would trust my vehicles. This is a family run business with dependable and honest service. Its always difficult to find a mechanic you can trust in such a large city as San Antonio. Although I haven’t purchased a vehicle from them as of yet, I must comment on the great customer service I observed while car shopping. There is one thing I wish they would do and that is to allow you to see vehicles in real time on their website, but that’s still not going to stop me from purchasing which I plan to do in a month or two. Keep up the great service😊

I have had 3 experiences with these guys, father and son great people. The first i can't recall but it was great. The second was also good where i replaced 2 oxygen sensors.....ended up being the catalytic converter which i still have not found the 1500 to 2000...still running good with worn out catalytic converter for at least 40K more miles since then. I was pleased because they found the issue AGAIN even though I didn't have the money for the CC. They explain thoroughly everything and have been always slightly better than fair on the pricing for labor and parts. They are right across from AutoZone. The 3rd experience was servicing my ac and replacing my ac condenser . I bought the condenser and he put it in. I had already had a guy on the street known for working for little and having a good reputation. So I expected these guys to charge somewhat more for the ac job. They actually charged the same....which was much better price than 2-3 other places. So 3 times they have done the best any great mechanic can do considering my capability. So my next job will be taken to these guys. They are more than happy to do a fairly quick estimate all things considered. Let them help!

Excellent service at a very fair price. I brought my car because it needed a maintenance which I had neglected. I was fearing I was going to be charged a lot and David focused only on what really needed to be fixed and fixed it quickly and efficiently. David is an extremely cordial and helpful person. I highly recommend this place because they will tell you what really needs to be fixed and provide excellent service!

David is the best! I always feel comfortable taking my car to him. He is super friendly and professional. He will get my car in quick and he doesn’t try to “find things wrong” with my car. He is extremely honest. If there is something to fix he will do all he can to fix it without charging me an arm and a leg and if he doesn’t find anything he will assure me I have nothing to worry about. I think his mom works in the office. She is also always very kind and friendly while I am waiting. Hands down best mechanic I’ve ever been too and recommend him to everyone.

I've been using D&D Automotive for around 10 years. I met David Jr. through someone I bought a car from. He recommended I speak to David Jr. about the repairs he had done to the car. I had a great feeling about David Jr. that day and I was right! He has serviced all our cars since then. He is a man of integrity and honor. I trust him and am so very thankful he is there as it is very hard to find a trustworthy mechanic these days. He is honest and I know he would never recommend unnecessary work to line his pockets. He has been patient and understanding as he has worked on almost 10 vehicles for us over the years. His mom works in the office and has always been incredibly kind. The lady who answered didn't ask my name or take my number, just told me to call back when the man came back from his lunch, as if I know his schedule I think she could've asked my name and number so I could be contacted. Purchased an older Dodge Dakota pickup truck from here, they were really easy to deal with, stayed open for me during holiday weekend, and the truck drove 1,300 miles home from San Antonio, TX to Chicago, IL. Been driving the truck about 300 miles a week and put approximately 3,000 miles on it since buying it with no issue other than replacing tires and battery. I wouldn’t hesitate buying from this dealership again.
