Took my vehicle in for a fuel pump issue. They charge $150 for a diagnostic of the whole vehicle. On the diagnostic report they said “The battery has demonstrated reduced performance and may not deliver optimal power. Replacing it will help maintain consistent vehicle reliability.” And they gave me a picture showing that the battery tested at 7.79 V. I had the battery tested a few hours earlier and it came back as 12.7 V. I seriously have trouble believing that the battery went bad over the course of a couple of hours not to mention that it’s brand new and only a few months old. They also said “The engine air filter is due for replacement based on time and mileage considerations. Replacing it will help maintain optimal engine performance and efficiency.” The air filter is clean and it doesn’t need to be replaced. This lets me know that they’re offering suggestions based on typical mileage replacements and not actually looking at every part that they’re recommending replacements for, even though they charged me $150 for diagnostics on the entire vehicle. Because of a handful of issues like those mentioned here, it really caused me to not trust this business.

We had a 2013 Ford F150 that had a new timing belt and corresponding work done on it back in August 2025. At that time there was different ownership and those involved at the time were not honest. We were left without a running truck and out $5K in addition to several tows back and forth. Thanks to new ownership by Mher B. at the East location in Wichita, he went above and beyond to make the situation right and take care of us. He wasn't even involved in what happened to us, but still chose to help us and that is the true definition of serving others. Would not recommend going to the West location where Frank manages. Go see Mher and his team and he'll get you covered.

First time I’ve been into a mechanic shop. Super friendly service and amazing job done. They got my check up done very quickly and precisely. I got a quote quickly and received exactly what I wanted. Very happy with the overall service and will be back soon!

My overall experience has been bad. I took my vehicle to you guys in March for an oil leak that you guys stated I had. I paid the $170 diagnostic fee then. I told you that I have Route 66 Warranty and you guys said you would contact the warranty company and get back with me. No one reached out to me at all regarding this. Fast forward to Friday 10/31. I took my vehicle here again and I questioned the “oil leak”. I was told I have to pay another $170 because prices increase and your quotes are only good for 60 days. Well that would have been nice to know in March but again no one communicated that with me. I also had to call on Friday 10/31 at 4pm to ask when my car would be done because no one would call me about the status of my vehicle. I called Monday 11/3 to ask if you have reached out to Route 66 and I was told that you would call closer to closing time with other vehicle requests. I also asked for a call back once you hear from Route 66. On Tuesday 11/4, I called Route 66 because I’m so frustrated at this point with the lack of concern and communication on Christian Brothers behalf. Route 66 told me that the pictures they were sent from you guys did not show an oil leak it did show oil seepage. Now I’m even more frustrated because I paid you guys TWO diagnostic fees and nothing has been done on my car. Route 66 also said that on my inspection report it shows that I stated I have oil leaking on my garage floor. That is completely false. I never said that. I don’t even park my car in the garage. I feel that I should be reimbursed my diagnostic fees considering you misdiagnosed my vehicle. You guys have failed to reach out to me both times. I’m waiting on you to get answers and I’m not getting them.

Had to edit my review the customer service was great and they were able to see me same day in an emergency. unfortunately the work they did don’t address my issue. Took my truck in to fix a misfire and they replaced spark plugs and cleaned the induction system, well $1200 later I’m still having the same issue. I don’t think they properly diagnosed what was causing the misfire. I took it to another shop on my roadtrip and they diagnosed it as an issue I asked Christian brothers three times if they checked, they assured me they did. Nice people and good customer service but I am disappointed that the problem wasn’t fixed.

I have always taken my car to Christian Brothers. They are very courteous, listening to your request and servicing your car as promptly as possible. They are always busy, so communication takes time and at times seems to take longer than expected. But overall, the service is excellent, they are very friendly and professional. I appreciate their service.

UPDATE 11/18/25: After my original review, the new owner, Mher, reached out to me personally in exactly the thoughtful and respectful way he described in his response. He was kind, genuinely apologetic, and took full responsibility for what happened. He also mailed me a check covering half the cost of a full set of replacement tires I purchased elsewhere, which I truly appreciated. During our conversation, he explained that since my 10/16/25 service, they’ve implemented a completely new system for managing service tickets. Instead of different mechanics handling different tasks on the same car, one technician is now assigned to oversee the entire job from start to finish, including quality control and final sign-off. That change directly addresses the issue that led to my situation, and I’m glad to hear they’re taking it seriously. My original experience was upsetting and created real safety risks while I was traveling alone, and I stand by how important it is for shops to be vigilant—especially with something as critical as tires. But I also want to acknowledge when a business steps up. The owner’s follow-through, professionalism, and commitment to improving their processes made a difference, and I appreciate the effort to make things right. I hope the new systems and leadership bring this location back in line with the honesty and integrity the Christian Brothers brand is known for. Thank you, Mher! ORIGINAL POST: 10/16/25, Christian Brothers East charged me over $1,000 for a full 4-tire replacement—but never actually replaced my tires. They kept my car all day, told me everything was done, and sent me on my way. I discovered this two days later, 750 miles away when my tire pressure light came on during a solo road trip. A Firestone mechanic confirmed my tires were old and called the CBE manager, who refunded everything (including an inexpensive filter change). I appreciate the refund, but this created serious safety risks and stress—especially since I was a woman traveling alone through remote areas. This location is under new ownership and feels disorganized and poorly supervised. It’s disappointing, given that the Christian Brothers brand emphasizes Christian values, honesty and integrity. So disappointing. I trusted them. My past experiences with Christian Brothers WEST were excellent, but this East shop is not living up to the brand’s values. ⚠️ Verify your service carefully before leaving this location.

I took my daughter’s car for oil change and brake check. I was very happy with the customer service. They were so nice. The location is very close to my home. The waiting area and front desk were beautiful for an automotive shop. The work was completed timely, but not too long after I left my check engine light came on. I called and I was told to bring it right back. A young man checked it out but in order to pin down specifically why the light was now on they required $149 for a diagnostic test. I was disappointed because I had just spent a lot of money on brakes and oil change . It is a really really good place so I highly recommend it. I’m just not in a financial position now to spend another $149.

Very happy with the service here. They took the time to look over my car and made sure I understood all problems. Even though we decided we couldnt put that much into the vehicle and decided to take our loss and not fix they still provided excellent customer service. Every person I talked to was kind and helpful! I would definitely take my other vehicles to them to work on.

Brought my truck here for a diagnostic. They said I needed a whole new motor replacement and reminded me 6 times that the bottom of my truck had mud built up. I assume that’s why the half way put my truck back together. I got to San Antonio when I realized they didn’t even put my ac belt back on. With a kid in the car in traffic. I take it to a shop they also didn’t even tighten my air intake back on or hook up all the hoses correctly. I’m 100% positive this was them because they explained taking all this stuff off during the diagnostic. Then I leave a voicemail and never get a call back. I’d never bring my car or truck here. Don’t let the Christian stuff fool ya. Other mechanic also says I don’t need a motor at all and trucks running fine now for less than 100$

I’m only leaving this review because I received a text from them asking me to. I’ve brought my vehicle to Christian Brothers probably a dozen plus times. First and foremost - expect $160 diagnostic fee just to walk through their doors. Seriously - any work beyond an oil change and they will hit you with this fee. But - let me get to actual issue: I had my transmission replaced through them a couple years back and over the course of a year, their service warranty brought me back not once, not twice… heck not even two or even three, or four times. 5 times they have had to REPLACE my transmission. (and I have every receipt to prove it). At one point the car began making a terrible noise and driving differently. I recognized the issue right away and brought it, telling them it was transmission related issues and told them as such - as per the routine, they told me they needed $160 for a diagnostic fee (they waive the fee if the problem is warranty related) BUT they determined and insisted the noise was not transmission related and was instead a bad wheel bearing. $1000 and some change later and - uh oh - the noise persisted. I brought it back to them and they told me they’d need $160 to verify if it was indeed transmission related. I did a ride along with one of the employees and he said it sounded like a bad differential - part of the transmission assembly. I managed to get this diagnostic fee waived but was not refunded the $160 I had spent erroneously diagnosing a “bad” wheel bearing. Tired of this mess, I took it to another shop that caught (without a diagnostic fee) that a gasket on the front differential was leaking transmission fluid and that it looked as though the transmission had been installed wrong. Unfortunately due to my warranty this lead to the 6th and “final” transmission on my Subaru in I think about a 12 month period. I didn’t learn my lesson though - and continued to bring my car here for other smaller issues that they brought up on previous inspections. They were nice folks - it seemed simpler than taking it to other mechanics I didn’t know. I figured why not - maybe it was just bad luck. Keep in mind - even if an issue is caught on an inspection they will still try and charge you a diagnostic fee to “verify” the issue (that they told you about). Giving them 2 stars because they are nice people - Unfortunately I need more than nice when it comes to making sure my wife and kid can travel safely, and whether it’s incompetence or negligence, the transmission failures left my wife stranded in the side of the road, on multiple occasions which is simply unacceptable. The last thing I’ll add - If you’re going to charge a premium rate for diagnostics - diagnose the issue.

I did a google review of several shops in my area and CBA came out on top on most of them. I received quotes from three shops for the same scope of work, more than just a typical oil change. CBA was the only one who double checked my model and adjusted the scope to be accurate. Their quoted price was also the least expensive. When I dropped off the vehicle, they claimed they missed a few items on the quote which added a couple hundred dollars. That was disappointing but their price was still cheaper than the others and I presumed the other shops would’ve done the same thing after they realized they missed those items as well. CBA completed the work on time, the final invoice matched the new quote, and their communication system (texts/emails/images) was excellent. I knew what was happening throughout the visit. I will certainly recommend CBA. 5 out 5 stars but the change in cost estimate upon check in drops them to a 4/5.

I was driving through town when my brake line suddenly burst, and I had my two dogs with me. I was extremely stressed and close to a meltdown, but everyone here immediately made me feel like welcome. The team was so kind, calm, and helpful during a very urgent situation. They even drove me and my dogs to a hotel, helped unload my belongings, and later drove me back to the shop. The cost was very reasonable, and they repaired my car within 24 hours. I am incredibly grateful for the entire team, especially Anthony and Joe. I truly can’t thank them enough.

I always use Christian Brothers as I totally trust them. They are thorough and professional . They have a shuttle service I use. They give a complete account of what needs done immediately and what can wait. I can watch a video they made to see what they see. They give a discount for Costco members. All the employees are courteous and nice and honest!

I have never had better service in any business! They are friendly, efficient, and caring. I appreciate the transparency of their inspections, sharing videos and images, and saying the cost up front. The personal note and bottle of water and asking how they can serve me are just a couple examples of the intentional and thoughtful service they provide.

The Chic Fil A of Auto Shops. Customer service is truly exceptional. Great folks. Pricing is less than you’d pay at the dealership, and more than you’d pay at (Insert Manly Name)’s Body Shop but they do dealer quality work and stand behind it with a 3-Year/36K mile warranty. For me, the value is definitely there and I’ll continue bringing my vehicles here.

I do not typically do surveys or reviews but the main reason for my visit ; and why I will continue to return is my service advisor, Joseph Vulgamore. I have followed Joe from other service centers and dealerships because he consistently goes above and beyond. He understands how particular I am about my vehicles and also knows that my mechanical knowledge is limited. Joe always takes the time to clearly explain what needs immediate attention and, just as importantly, what can safely wait. His honesty, transparency, and patience are the reasons I trust him completely. This was my first visit to Christian Brothers, and I made a point to observe how the shop operated. Even with some difficult customers and a very busy schedule, the entire team remained professional, calm, and friendly. I needed a ride to work when dropping off my vehicle, and even the driver had an incredibly positive attitude. My appointment was last minute and scheduled on a Friday just before a holiday, and Joe still made sure my vehicle was taken care of. That level of commitment is rare. As long as Joseph Vulgamore is at Christian Brothers Automotive East Wichita, I will be bringing all of my vehicles here no matter the drive. If you’re looking for a service advisor you can truly trust, ask for Joe

Experience was great. Had some oil system issues and they were able to get me in and out same day. Joe was great and very communicative and honest. Prices seemed okay, a little high but most likely due what the fix was.

I recently had a great experience at Christian Brothers. My Jeep overheated while traveling to Wichita. Jules got me in for service right away after lunch and was very kind and helpful. Alex went above and beyond to replace the water pump and thermostat in just a few hours to get me back on the road that evening. It was a great experience. The repair pricing and options were clearly explained and everyone was professional and caring. I highly recommend Christian Brothers.

Took my truck into Christian Brothers (East) in August to have the timing chain repaired cost $5,500. Other than that it had no problems. Got the truck back took it for one drive and the engine overheated on Kellogg. Had it towed back to Christian Brothers took them a month to get back to me just to tell me I will need a new engine. I got in touch with everyone at Christian brothers including the corporate office in Texas, no one was willing to help me. That is until MHer....the new owner of Christian Brothers East called me and heard about my problem. He is a really good guy. I would recommend taking your vehicle to the east location. Not the west because the supervisor who overseen the faulty work of my truck the first time I took it in is now supervising the west location his name is Frank. 5 Stars to MHer and all the guys at the East location. Thank you and will take my truck in there for all future services needs.
