They don't do transmission repairs, they do transmission replacements. I went here because I had an engine code for the 2-3 solenoid and my truck wasn't shifting. After the "diagnosis", I was told it was the 2-3 solenoid and that while they were in there I need to just get the transmission rebuilt ($4500). I know that the solenoid is right under the transmission pan. So there is no "getting in there". When I mentioned to the tech that the solenoid is right below the pan, he said my fluid was so bad that if he dropped my transmission pan my transmission wouldn't work any more. I was the manager of a lube store for years. I know want bad trans fluid looks like and mine was still red but due for a transmission flush. I took it home bought AC Delco 1-2 and 2-3 solenoids off Amazon for $30. Spent 2 hours and $100, and now it shifts like a dream. On a side note when they pulled my truck in the shop they said it wouldn't start again. I've never had a problem with it but it's a Chevy and they are known for the ignition module. I went by the shop to look at it and was going to fix it and got as far as hooking up the wires to a new ignition coil, but I had pulled a muscle in my back and just asked them to fix it and gave them the parts I had bought. When I got it back the said it was the ignition module and replaced it with the one I gave them ($220). When I got home I found out that they didn't take the old coil out of the bracket and put the new coil in, they just wedged the new coil in between the oil coil that was still there and the throttle bracket. They also broke one of the screws off that holds my distributor cap on, so it was just held on by one screw. I had to drill out the old screw from the distributor base and tap the hole for a larger screw and grind off the rivets on the old coil so I could bolt the new coil to the bracket. I honestly wouldn't take a lawnmower to them to fix.

I had one of the best customer service experience at AAMCO. Lincoln and Woodlawn were extremely helpful and nice they did a free vechicle courtesy check , very professional, communication skills are excellent Kim and her team were extremely nice and understanding on letting me know what needed to be done to my car they also offered a excellent care care credit you can sign up for on the spot if your having finacial issues on paying the full amount upfront. Overall expericence was wonderful they even arranged for me to have a ride home while they worked on my vehicle. 10/10 would recommend if your having any car trouble.

Tim is just fantastic and can be trusted. His number one priority when I brought in my PT cruiser for a whole mess of work was the safety of my family. He was the second person that I took the car to and he was very polite and upfront. He advised me on a number of options in which one was to let the car go. He did not try to sell me anything that I didn't need. Well he fixed my car and after calling around I know I got the best price. What was most impressive he called and asked if he could take my car on a long drive on the high way to make sure it was safe for my family. He stated that he would rather the car break down on him then it break down on me when I have my 3 young boys in the car. Well the car ran great. Great customer service, great service on the car and no BS. He is not out to make a buck on you and gave me options that didn't lead to him making more money. I trust him and will never take my car anywhere else. I have never had a more positive experience and man this car has caused me some heartache. They are a solid professional crew and I never leave reviews. That's how good these guys are.

This shop has been great for me! Took my car here for front end knocking that turned out to be transmission related, so Firestone wouldn't touch it. They couldn't replicate the noise so had me leave the car overnight and multiple staff drove it until they heard the noise. They worked with me on turn around time because I was going out of state. When I noticed my alignment was off after the repair, they had that fixed at no additional cost to me. Kim especially was very nice and determined to make sure my concerns were addressed and that I understood what was going on. I'll definitely be returning here and will recommend it!

As a single mom that travels for work to and from Dallas to Wichita, it's super important that I have a reliable car that works. I had both the fortune and misfortune of needing serious repairs on my Chevy recently, and what a blessing it was to have happened upon Darrell and his team at Aamco. The hardest part about being a woman and taking your car in is being talked down to or taken advantage of. For the first time ever this was not the case. Darrell and his team worked with me to get my car back up and running and what I thought would cost me thousands of dollars was reasonably priced and warranteed. The hardest part as a car owner is finding a reputable company that will inspect your car without tons of fees, AAMCO did a vehicle check for FREE and then they only fixed what needed to be fixed and warranteed the work. I left feeling confident that my car was in good hands and got it back in a good amount of time to get back on the road. I'm so grateful for AAMCO. I will continue to bring my car to them. Apparently they do everything with cars.

Update 5/6/25: Once again, Kim and her techs took excellent care of me. Thank you for everything! I had taken my car here several times, with no issues except the low standard of customer service. My recent visit had a few hiccups with the diagnosis/estimate of my car repair. But I have to say, the change of management to Kim, made a huge difference in my experience. They did an excellent job on getting my 2010 Nissan Murano back on the road after the tensioner pulley broke and snapped my serpentine belt. They also replaced the Power Steering reservoir and the bottleneck connector to my radiator and then did a diagnostic test to see where I was leaking oil from. Pricing was very reasonable!! I would recommend them to anyone.

Will definitely come back again. I appreciate the honesty. Had concerns about my transmission and was suggested I take it in. I was ready for a big bill after turning it in to AAMCO. They ran several tests that came out negative for any problems. They were ready and willing to run more when I said no need. Was comfortable with the outcome of the previous tests. Expected to be charged alot for all the tests coming in just to hear that there was no charge. Could have robbed me blind, but instead they were honest and truthful. I can't say enough about how great Kim and the guys have been to me in the past couple years. Bought a suv from an unnamed south Broadway car lot over 2 years ago, only to find out it was basically falling apart. They got me up and running, and didn't crush me financially to get there. Over the course of 2 years, I've returned multiple times with a new problem, and they've continued to get me in quickly, and back on the road. The hammer came 3 months ago when my youngest son was diagnosed with a tumor on his brain and was airlifted to children's mercy in Kansas city. Needless to say, I needed to be roadworthy to get back and forth every weekend, and Kim bent over backwards to make sure I was safe and a little less stressed. I've had multiple things that needed attention over that time span, and every single time they've stepped up with compassion and quality workmanship. I can't say enough about how great they've been to me. If you need something done, this is where to go. Just don't take my spot, because I'm sure I'll be back🤣

I have a Subaru with 101,000 mile that just wanted to change the transmission oil ,after 2 days when we called AAMCO, they said for Subaru, u guys had to change it every 15000 miles... every 15000 miles!!! So they couldn't change it bc it's gonna mess with the car. We called Subaru dealership after that and they said every 60000 to 120,000 miles we need to change the transmission oil not 15000. Just say u don't know how to change it not just lies!!!!
