It’s hard to find an honest car repair shop but this place is the best. I’ve been in the car business for 20 years and this is where I recommend everybody go. They’re super nice they take care of the issues they don’t overcharge, so this is where I would go if you need help. If I could give them more than five stars, I would.

Went in for a tire rotation.. Probably one of the least friendly places I've been to out here. There was some trashy dude there and an older woman.. A different shop told me about needing a certain part that was not on my vehicle.. This shop called me out on the mistake but offered no other information or help with further repair. Which I would have had them do if they seemed at all interested in helping me fix the issue. The dog there is cool but seems the human customer service is lacking.. But its St George so... par for the course. Plenty of other awesome shops in the area. 3 stars since they were at least able to pull off a tire rotation almost on the spot. EDIT: Google asks for reviews at odd times. You guys didnt seem like you wanted to be there. It was an unfortunate situation. In my line of work I'd be required to mention worn or possibly replaceable parts. Gain a customer, make a bigger sale. welcome the customer back for further service... I asked for a rotation and I mentioned looking into seeing what I needed done on my front end. Which needed pretty obvious attention I'm told by a different shop. No recommendations or anything. I was merely corrected of proper nomenclature and sent on my way. Thanks for the response.

My 2005 Subaru Forester was taken here by the dealership that I bought it from down the street. Shortly after I bought the car, the timing skipped and needed a top end rebuild. I towed the car to my dealer on 11/18/2021, and I believe it was pushed over to Clay’s the next day. Now it is 6/7/2022. My car is still sitting at his shop. Jerry was nothing but rude and condescending the first 3-4 interactions we had, to the point that I just call the dealer to get updates. I’m very patient, and even 4 months to deal with the warranty back and forth, labor, parts to come in, etc. I get that. But now we are coming up on 7 months and I’m running out of excuses for him. There is no reason a top end rebuild should take that long. I get that he is short staffed, etc. but really no excuse for this long of wait. Thank god I have a beater truck I’ve been able to borrow for the majority of this wait. I feel like I’ve been beyond patient with the process. Just wanted to voice my concerns to others.

Went in for a flat repair and oil change and they were the best priced. I called around and priced shopped. It's a family business. They were really cool people, and made me feel right at home. They have a really nice pitbull that hangs around. Don't be afraid of him, he's a really sweet dog. Definitely recommend given them a shot.

Awesome place, got the serpentine belt replaced on my car and got an oil change. Charged me less than half of what a place across town quoted me and had it done in about 2 hours instead of 2 days like the other place. Also they have a dog that hangs out in the lobby which is so cute. I recommend this place for anyone that is looking to get work done on there car.

My truck broke down on my way to California just across the Arizona border. I found Clay's on Waze, called and spoke with Linda who in her sweet way told me to come in. In short they fixed the issue, and would've had it done the same day if the part store would have brought the right part the first time. The cost was very reasonable, lower than I expected. I highly recommend them especially if you get into a jam like I did. Another plus is their beautiful and lovable dog Ossie (spelling) who greets every customer and loves to play. A couple weeks ago, my radiator broke while on vacation in St. George. All the repair shops we called were "booked" weeks out and refused to help us except for Clay's. They took us in immediately, diagnosed the issue and then quickly started working to get our warranty coverage figured out. Due to the timing we ended up staying overnight at a hotel. They estimated that they would have it fixed by noon the next day (which was less than 24 hours after we brought it in). I was skeptical that their repair timing estimation would be off and that we would be waiting for multiple days. It was also a tricky situation because I had two small children (in car seats) and no way to get back to the repair shop the next day. Graciously, Linda offered to pick us up, and as promised the car was ready at noon and she was there to get us. I cannot express how professional and compassionate they were to our situation. They made us a priority and treated us so kindly. They helped make a very stressful situation so much easier. The car works great and I could not be happier!

Clays Auto has been servicing all my vehicles for the past 2-3 years now and we just LOVE Jerry and Linda. They are honest, friendly and will never bs you. They have helped me numerous times when I am in a pinch and are just a salt of the earth type of people. If you are looking for a great shop to work on your vehicles, this is the place to go. I will always go to Clays Auto for any and all of my vehicle needs from oil changes, repairs, brakes and even tires and alignment. They do it all!

We’ve been here twice and we won’t go anywhere else! Both times we figured it was something major, but ended up being really minor and they didn’t try to add any extra services. It’s so refreshing not to be hassled about services you don’t need. They’ve been so honest with us and I can tell they care about people and it’s not all about money. They are also extremely fast! The last place we took our vehicle to was always booked three weeks out. Clay’s has fit us in the same day or next day and they’ve been quick to diagnose the issue. I really like this place!

My wife and I have been taking our vehicles to Clay's for over 7 years. Jerry and Linda are awesome. This is an honest shop and they can take care of most things in the same day. Their prices are reasonable and a couple of times they've even taken care of easier things without charging me, which pretty much never happens anywhere else. Highly recommended.

Took my minivan there, told them the issue and had them diagnose it. They said my alternator was burned up and they would replace it for $800. I bought one and put it in myself and still didn’t fix the problem. I took my van to an honest mechanic and it took him about 5 seconds to test the wire going to the alternator and tell me the fusable link was burned up. Still had my old alternator so had it tested… perfectly fine. Not only did Clay’s flat out lie to me, they quoted me about double what any other garage would have charged. They also wasted hours of my time and some money by lying and telling me I needed a part that I did not. Exactly the type of shop that gives mechanics a bad name, I will never take anything there again and neither should you!

I’ve gone to clays now for probably 6 years. They are great and I trust them to take care of my car and give me good advice. My entire family uses them as well. Typically I just get oil changes but whenever something else comes up they are great to go to for help. They’ve also saved us a time or two when they’ve noticed something wrong and suggested fixes. For example two of my husbands tires were rubbing real bad and were so bald. We had no idea. They pointed it out and helped us get it fixed. If they can’t fix it they give you a recommendation of where to go. They also have great prices for their oil changes too. Linda is also fabulous. If you’re looking for a reliable and trustworthy mechanic, you’ve found the right place!
