It’s easy to pay outrageous prices for simple things such as tire repair/ replacement. Be careful with this shop. I told another shop what they quoted me and they were shocked.

We brought our vehicle to this establishment due to transmission issues. They were able to secure more favorable pricing compared to other shops we consulted, and the process was completed within a week. Throughout the process, we were kept informed and consulted on every step. I highly recommend this shop.

Elijah and team go the extra mile - they're pretty transparent about what they can and can't do and I find that better than a mechanic who will try their luck for a week and still won't have your problem solved.

I had a great experience at the Alexandria location and appreciate the quick turn around with my inspection. I did find one thing puzzling though and that’s why have windows leading into the shop area if you don’t want people to have the transparency of being able to see their car being inspected or worked on? The windows were covered with posters blocking people’s ability to see you top notch technicians at work. I would encourage you to remove those posters and allow people to actually see the awesome service you provide.

They do a great job, are very friendly, responsive, and quick. Prices are reasonable and we’ve never felt taken advantage of in any way. Highly recommend, and so glad to have them close by!

On 12/29/25 I drove my car in for a safety inspection. It drove well with no noticeable brake issues. My car failed the rear brake inspection, and I was given two avenues of repair. One for a full brake job at over 1400 dollars and one for replacing the rear disc brake pads and brake hydraulic hose. I asked them to reinspect the rear brake calipers and waited another 20 minutes or so. I was told they were okay. and I could go the lower repair cost job. I declined the $581 job. The car was returned to me and when I drove it the brake pedal now felt spongy and periodically went down to the floorboard and then back up to normal and down other times and up, This was not happening before I brought the car in. I called the next day and spoke to the owner who stated that during an inspection the mechanic does not move any parts and I reiterated that the car was checked again at no additional cost to determine which course of action of the two offered I can take, The owner offered to tow my vehicle back to his shop but I declined after what had happened. I had my vehicle towed to a shop in Manassas by AAA.

I went for spark plugs and when they check the light engine system smell of smoke was present was there, right after … I believe the motor of the ASG was forced to be broken… more than $1,000 I still have to have the spark plugs fixed. I can not trust this new management, I complaint but going there for over 20 years I got nowhere. Not going there ever again

Purchased tires on TireRack and Community Car Care is a recommended installer on the TireRack website. As a recommended installer, they take a price pledge to honor the price listed on the TireRack website, which was listed as $150. This price includes $136 for mounting and balancing, free valve stems, and $14 disposal fee. I was charged $190 AND they reused my valve stems, which one of them is now leaking badly. Recommended PSI for the tires are 30 PSI and all were overfilled to 40+ PSI. I have come here numerous times over the past few years. Quality has gone down and the prices have gone up. Update: they contacted me and made it right

Love community Car Care! They always take care of me, and are transparent in what I do and do not need. It’s a one stop shop, so 10/10 recommend!

Update: Frank personally reached out after seeing my review and took the time to listen and follow up. I appreciated the call and the effort to address the situation. It showed that they really care. Thank you for taking the time to address this. - - I rarely leave reviews, but I felt obligated to share this so others know what to expect. I made a mistake by ordering the bare lower control arms for my Camry without the separate bolt-on ball joints. I fully own that. What I do not accept is the complete lack of professionalism, communication, and concern for customer safety from this shop. The technician physically removed my worn, failing ball joints and transferred them onto brand-new control arms — without a single phone call or warning. They literally had the bad parts in their hands. A simple 30-second courtesy call would have prevented hundreds of dollars in wasted labor and resulted in more business for them. Instead, they reinstalled worn suspension components and then performed a wheel alignment — something no competent shop should ever do when ball joints are known to be bad. This is either gross negligence or complete indifference to safety. When asked, the shop blamed a “no questions asked” policy for customer-supplied parts. That explanation made it clear that since I didn’t pay them to diagnose the problem, they simply didn’t care — even if it meant reinstalling worn safety components and sending a customer back on the road. That is deeply disappointing. I genuinely wanted this shop to be good. All I want is a place I can trust with my car — somewhere I can go for basic service or an oil change and know they’ll look out for me, tell me when something is unsafe, and help me make informed decisions. I can’t trust a shop that knowingly puts failing parts back onto a vehicle and says nothing. For a business called “Community Car Care,” there was zero care for the customer or the safety of the repair. I had to pay the dealership to redo the entire job again. Unacceptable.

Had to go in for an emissions inspection and they were great. Staff was super friendly and service was so fast. I got a coffee in their lobby and my car was ready before it cooled off. Will definitely be back!

Dropped my car off first thing in the morning with a very visible bolt sticking out of one tire. Had it patched and ready to pick up a few hours later. Very communication-forward app so I was able to see the estimate and diagnostic all while at work, no phone call needed. Big bonus was the military discount. Will absolutely be back for any future car repairs or maintenance.

Experienced a drivetrain issue with my car while driving and brought my car into the shop. Technician fixed the drivetrain issue and also informed me of the front brakes that were bad and almost metal to metal. The shop performed the front brake repair in a timely manner, was cost effective in the 500$ range and it was all perfect and professional! Elijah at the shop was amazing throughout the process and also gave me helpful tips for my car. Would recommend and definitely will be back.

I've emailed or called Community Car Care a couple times to gather quotes, and they've always been super prompt and thorough and courteous. Yesterday was my first time actually going in for service, though...and they instantly became my go-to trusted car repair place for the future! I needed a state emissions test and safety inspection to renew our car's registration. I got both for $40--they found a reason to give me a $10 discount I didn't even ask for--and was in and out in about 20 minutes, even though it was 2pm on a busy Saturday. I was so fast, I barely had enough time to finish my complimentary hot chocolate. :) I would've been happy enough with that, but the place also just had a great vibe--which I know sounds a bit odd when describing a mechanic shop, but it's true! They offer a Keurig machine, filtered water, clean bathrooms, and strong Wi-Fi while you wait (A++). During my wait, one of the employees was crouched next to another customer in comfy chair, walking through all of her tire replacement options in detail and explaining the pros/cons, pricing, etc. And when my own service was finished, the guy at the desk made sure to explain what I needed to do next (e.g., be sure to keep this paper in your glove box; which number on my receipt was the backup reference number just in case the DMV website doesn't reflect my passed emissions test). All around, just a friendly environment that communicates how seriously they take good customer service. I'll definitely be back!
