Worst experience Iv ever had with a mechanic. Please go elsewhere with your business. They have no idea what they’re doing. They “fixed my car” and it broke down a few days later they said I needed a battery..I broke down again and went to another auto repair and they told me it was my alternator and my battery was fine. I recommend Danny, he’s a few shops down connected to the same building and he’s the best mechanic Iv ever had, very genuine and honest and he fixes most of d&nays mistakes.

My mother purchased a car from here and the service was very unprofessional. The car had problems in which the dealer was unwilling to fix. She was then abruptly asked to return the vehicle and was not refunded the 5000 she paid for it. We are currently seeking litigation. Do not purchase from here! The owner is a liar and a thief and doesn't fix cars that well.

These people had my car for 3days, no repairs were done and couldn't tell me what was wrong with it. Finally I had it towed to another shop and all it needed was a fuse and they had it back to me the same day. I do not recommend this D&Nay's auto repair.

Paid for services for my vehicle. Vehicle not fixed! Took it to two mechanics for 2 opinions on. Used parts when I paid for new parts. My vehicle in worser shape then when I took it to them. Please don’t take your vehicle here. The man constantly fast talk you. You barely can get a word in. Very city sleek. Can you say con artist. Don’t trust this company! I will take legal action. No documentation of what services I received.

I bought my 2010 Cadillac SRX to D&Nay’s auto to get fix. Louise was the one to fix my car (supposedly). My check engine was on, I explained to him the issue. He assure me that he could fix it for me. He had my car at his shop for a week. I paid this man $1200 to fix my engine. Still have all of my recipes. He never give me no paperwork for any of the work that were done on my car. Fast forward to March of 2021. I took my car in to get my emission test done a couple days ago, and the car won’t pass emission. Came to find out, this man Louise put a black duct tape on were the check engine light was and lied and said that he fix my car. Another mechanic noticed it yesterday and pointed it out to me. I am highly upset, and I will be taking legal actions. I called this man today, he’s very unprofessional and threatened to get his lawyer on me. Like I care. And btw Louise, the trunk that you claimed you fix, it still doesn’t open.

Everywhere I took my 2012 mustang they could not solve the check engine lights problem, I was told to go to the dealership and thats only way to resolve. I knew if I took it to dealership the repair cost would probably cost more than the value of the car. I came across D & Nay repair through being in the area and google search and decided to take a chance. D was amazing and knew all that was needed and said I did not need to take it to dealership, can get the parts and save on cost. D was very professional and fair. He got my baby running and healthy. I dont think I can go anywhere else after this. This repair shop is the best example of fair and quality work.

Took my vehicle in to de nays,Louis said it would be done within a few days .. took him over a week and he called and said it was done. Which was a complete lie. I told him Excatly the issue and I need that fixed, he claimed he put a 850 Piece lol they're a little over a $100 @ auto zone. That wasn't the issue and I never asked or approved of that. He kept trying to over talk me and change the subject instead of showing what car repairs we did and it was actually fixed.. He even had the nerve to bring out clean wires and say he changed them which none of the wires were new and my truck isn't clean under the hood so yeah nice try As I was waiting another couple came up they too have been going in circles with this crook. Beware of this place !!!! Louis is a complete crook.

Came in from out of state and needed emergency brake repair on my car. Not only was he able to get me in on short notice, he went above and beyond at keeping his word for the price quote that was given to replace the front and rear brakes on my car. Thank you sir, we made it back to Michigan with no troubles. If I ever need anything again when I’m in your area, you will be the first one I call!!!

My boyfriend and I were very satisfied with the way he fixed our car. The price was reasonable as well, a little less than what we actually expected to pay. We called this place the day our car broke down and the next morning he sent out a tow truck to pick up the car from our house. Even though he said we were behind a line of a few cars it only took about 2 days for him to fix the car and have us come pick it up. We will be returning to the mechanic if we need anything in the future.

Lewis/Louis however you spell his name is a TOTAL SCAM ARTIST! We took him my car for a diagnostic ($70), after I already told him what was wrong with it (broken water pump). He confirmed the problem but also stated that the engines computer was throwing codes even though the check engine light was not on. He quoted us $1200 to fix the car. He never gave us ANY documentation to show the problem(s). So how can you know what to fix if you don’t know the problem. We went back and forth with him and still nothing has been done to rectify this problem. I don’t want anyone to have to go through this so I’m speaking up.

My wife towed my daughter's car in to this shop because late one night her car suddenly and with no warning would not shift out of park. Mechanic took two days to "look" at it and stated that the transmission was not communicating with the engine, was shot and needed to be rebuilt or replaced. This did not add up because there had been no slipping or grinding of gears before hand. When I found out it was going to be a $2k fix, I had to ask questions. I got no answers from the owner, but plenty of assurances that if they replaced the transmission the would give a warranty. Long story short, I did 5 minutes of Google research, diagnosised the problem in his parking lot, temporarily fixed it in less than 1 minute, and drove it away from the exact same spot where it was dropped off. I will be replacing the missing bushing on the shifter for $35 and about 5 minutes. This mechanic was not trustworthy at all. All of his answers were vague and he was pushy to the point of rudeness. Beware using this business.

My review of D&Nay's Auto Repair is based on my experience having my breaks replaced and having a car inspection. Louis was an excellent mechanic but beyond that, he worked with me to make sure I was comfortable. He also refunded my break replacement (which he did not have to do) because of a minor inconvenience which he took responsibility for. People are often worried that mechanics will take advantage of them, this is not the case with Louis who values customer satisfaction tremendously.

WARNING SCAM BUSINESS I visited this shop because of all the good reviews but do not be fooled. This shop scammed me of $650! I was having issues with my car starting when I fuel it and the mechanic told me it would be $500 for the 2 parts and $150 for the labor. Another mechanic after this entire situation said the parts only cost max $250. I dropped my car off and then the next day was asked to pick it up because the work was done. After picking up my car, I broke down after filling up my fuel before getting home and called the shop back and he said it was my battery that was having a problem now. Said to come back in the morning for a free battery. I did. Two days later when I go to get gas again, my car had the exact same issue and I tried to call D&Nays and they did not answer the phone nor were they even at the shop any day for the next two weeks. I literally went there every day they were supposed to be open but no one was there or answering phone calls. BEWARE DO NOT GO TO THESE SCAMMERS!!!!!!!

Louis was supposedly to change spark plugs for me. After he changed them, the car jumped and made ticking noises. I took the car to Hayes Dodge and it was found that only 3 of the 6 spark plugs were changed even though Louis said all were changed when we picked the car up. Due to this, I had to have work on the engine of my car. Louis was paid $575, which in turn costed over $3000 at Hayes to have the issues fixed that Louis caused. Stay away from this place. See pictures of the old plugs that Louis didn’t change compared to the ones that he did change.

I needed an under body shield for 2017 Hyundai Tucson installed that I bought online from a parts website. I talked to the owner and he was friendly and knowledgeable and with reviews being good decided to use his service. I was amazed at his service level and skill. A wonderfully easy to work with person and fast with a warranty and incredible work ethic. And the most improbable thing of all in his business, he would not charge me just because I had some difficulty reaching him at first and he said it was too small a job to charge for in light of that. He is my new go to mechanic and I highly recommend him for any and all car service needs. He can do it all!

I regularly see the owner (Louis) of D&Nays where I work, which is how I found them. Louis is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about automotive repair. I know he is knowledgeable because I went to college for auto mechanics. After several conversations, I decided to use him next time I needed service. So, when my brakes needed service I took it in. Everything went very smoothly. After dropping off my truck at opening, he gave me a ride to work, fixed my brakes, and picked me up after work. I liked the convenience of having the work done the same day, plus getting a ride to and from work. It was a nice surprise to find out that he included a 24-month personal warranty on his work. Also, I previously took my truck there one other time to have a potential problem checked. Louis took the time while I was there to inspect it and use his diagnostic scan tool to check the vehicle computer for any trouble codes. Any other mechanic would have charged about $70 or better to check for trouble codes, but he did not charge me anything. I'm thrilled that I found an excellent mechanic that knows his stuff, cares about his customers, and doesn't overcharge. Thank you D&Nays!
