Dan’s entire team was professional, from the front office to the mechanics. When my 2007 international was ready to be picked up Chad the mechanic that worked on the truck, walked me step by step on what had been done and what I would need for the future. I really appreciate the time they took working on this truck since it was an older truck. Overall great experience.

As a customer I expect an honest service as advertised by a company... Dan's Auto is not honest in the slightest way. A wrecker took my truck there after breaking down in Arlington. They never once said it was going to cost money to figure out what was wrong with my truck but ended up charging me close to $300 just to get my pickup. When they finally sent me an estimate they stated my ecm computer was out the cost yo fix my truck: 3-5 grand... I took the truck back home to a trusted shop near my hometown in Stephenville Texas. While loading my truck Dan himself was entirely rude to my grandfather an elderly man of 70 years and my innapropriate to my girlfriend and I. When I got the estimate from my trusted local service provider I was informed that the only thing wrong was my batteries needed replaced and the line to my electric fuel pump had been disconnected. They tried to trick me into paying a substantial amount of money for a job that should have been no more than $200. Dan's advertises that they're Diesel specialists so there is no excuse as to the mis diagnosis on my pickup by that much. When confronted after I learned of they're attempts to swindle me they refused to refund my money and the main office man, Gilly asked if I had enemies... I guess Dan's is the only enemy I can think of. Please do not go here for your repairs or any other reason. This place is dishonest. I stand by my review

I probably just had the most pleasant truck repair visit experience ever. Professional, courteous, quick, fair... Does it get better than that? **UPDATE from a year ago** Just took my Jeep in with a starting problem, expecting a new starter needed. Diagnosed with a loose wire only. Fixed and back on the road. Honest and great service.

I have trusted Dan’s with my rv a few times and have never been disappointed. They are great at diagnosing issues. I always get my rv back in a timely manner. I haven’t found a better mechanic than Dan! For what it’s worth, any time spent waiting for his service is worth it, don’t let any review here mislead you about that. As for any mishaps that we’ve ever endured, he has always made me whole in the end. He’s been my mechanic for 3 years and I plan to continue to use his services as long as I need them! The thing I like the most about Dan is that he is very thorough and in the end he is always fair. I wouldn’t trust my Mercedes sprinter van with anyone else!

I brought my van in because I wanted to have my wheel bearings replaced. I was told that the likely cause wouldn’t be the bearings. So I agreed to a diagnostic on the front end. After the diag I was told the front end was good but my brakes where completely worn and it would cost $2323 to do the full job. I was also told that my wheel bearings where the press on type. I didn’t pay for the service, just the diag fee of $158. Once I got home I decided to do the job myself, and I found that my brakes where NOT completely worn, the wheel bearings are NOT the press in type, my front end bushings DO need replacing and I don’t think they even took the tire off( the tire off part is probably my frustration of doing this with my limited schedule but you get the picture). My experience was not good. Some others may have different experiences. I don’t expect an apology or a statement I want people to be aware

Took my RV in for a regular maintenance service for oil change and filter on engine and generator. They also found I needed new bushings.Got the parts in and replaced them quickly and also got some extra keys made for me. The mechanic Derrick was very helpful explaining why I needed the bushings replaced. The front desk ladies were very friendly too...even offered me to take a drink on my way out. Had Dan and his crew do a 30;000 mile scheduled maintenance on our 2023 Class C motor home. I also asked for a wheel alignment and headlight adjustment. I made an appointment to have the work done. Took them a couple of days to get all the work done. I fully expected them to have the RV for more than a week, based on other service providers estimates. Under promise and over achieve is a great business model to have. I will be back for continued maintenance on our motorhome.

I wrote a long, extremely negative review, and the owner called me and explained his position. While I don't agree, and still feel the customer service aspect of their business is terrible, I added a star back. I am not sure who is right; there can often be gray areas in mechanical issues. Unfortunately, I cannot get a clear answer to the mechanical issues; but I do know they need to treat their customers better. It doesn't matter how knowledgeable you are if the customer leaves feeling like they were mistreated and condescended to. A bit of respect and explanation can go a long way. EDIT2: A thing I forgot to note: when the owner called to explain, he began this long rant about a million things and would not let me talk at all. At one point, I put the phone down on the table and walked away and timed it: 3 minutes later he was still ranting at me. Furthermore, my vehicle is finally fixed, and they found the source of all the problems -- a wiring harness had shorted out and burned up. So the $5000 in repairs recommended by Dan's would've 1) added back a part that does nothing but cause problems and was only there to satisfy federal regulators, and 2) wouldn't have solved the real problem which was a burned up wiring harness that was causing all the other symptoms. By walking away, I saved thousands of dollars. Photo: not fuel injectors, not $5000.
