First time customer at Dave's, 10/10 communication, service, and work. I feel like I was told exactly what my car needed and was charged fairly for it. Even when given an opportunity to up charge me for work I didn't need (a part I thought needed replaced but ended up being totally fine) they were straight shooters and didn't gouge me for extra parts/labor. Highly recommend and will be returning for all my vehicle maintenance needs.

I towed my truck into "daves joke of the valley" with(i thought) a seized up pulley on tuesday. I also wanted them to service my transmission and diagnose what i figured to be a more than minor hard shift issue from 1st to 2nd. I explained to them i own/operate a small remodeling company and im scheduled out for 2 weeks with 9 different clients so please keep me in the loop. I needed my truck repaired right and timely which is why I bit the bullet and went to the 100/hr place. The next day i believe, they tell me they started my truck up to diagnose it and the tensioner pulley was "grenaiding" so they changed it for $187. They are very confident that my valve body is the problem in my trans and will fix it for $1000 it will be done by friday, monday afternoon at the latest. I spend the rest of the day rescheduling appointments, apologizing etc. So friday rolls around i hear nothing, i call, "no not today but youll be ready to go for sure  early monday afternoon". I call monday around 12:30, "oh well were still looking into it but we should know something real quick". They call back an hour later and say the clutch is blown all apart in there you need to rebuild the whole thing($3000)". This is an hour before they said it would be done and they have just pulled the pan off to look. No phone call no update, just wait till the last minute and try to knock out $1000 worth of work in a few hours. Nice, non-sense i thought i paid 100/hr to avoid. So again i spend the day making apologetic phone calls trying to save as much of my business/reputation as i can. Non-sense i paid 100/hr to avoid. They say it will be rebuilt/ready by the end of the week(friday). It took them 6 days to take a pan off and look when all the work was supposed to be done by then(without so much as a phone call), but they're gonna rebuild the entire transmission in 4, ok. Needless to say these people have shown they shouldnt be trusted to take theyre own estimates seriously so i assume tuesday in my scheduling and hope for the best. Supprisingly i get a call late thursday afternoon and its all done ready to go. Wow great! I say itll be friday maybe monday before i can get it they say no problem. Monday i come in to pick up my truck. I ask about the $187 pulley. Blown off/"diagnostics". I ask why my battery is dead and can you come jump me. I ask why my radiator is a gallon low (theres a slow leak they found i couldnt afford to fix) and they didnt top it off. Then i start it up and ask why its idling/running so rough and why its surging when it starts. They blow me off. Then i ask why my brand new transmission sounds so loud shifting out of park. Blown off. All excuses i paid 100/hr to avoid. They refuse to admit they have some responsibility in any of this and wont even look at it without charging me (i just handed then $3200) all the while treating me as if im trying to scam them. They tell me they didnt do anything that could possibly cause any of this and its always done that stuff since its been here (it was towed in so what does that even mean? More non-sense?) Why they didnt call to ask if its always run like its firing on 1/2 the cylinders, or how they did any valid $100/hr diagnostic on it without even acknowledging this problem i dont know. They say "well its been sitting here since the middle of last week maybe thats why", implying they arent some kind of a storage yard and whats wrong with me, "well the check engine light is on" (why didnt they check into that? Or ask me?) and they tell me to drive it a few days and see what happens. More non-sense i paid 100/hr to avoid. As i drive off later i realize they have broke my window (it had trouble before) and in doing so have wrecked the door latch mechanizms and broke the trim around it. Not a word mentioned to me, more non-sense! These people have completely erroded all trust and faith in the business client relationship by showing a consistent pattern of negligent dissregard for theyre responsibilities as a reputable shop and they're obligations to they're warranties.

Great communication. What impressed me most, was getting an inspection resulting in a text message with pictures of all the problems that needed fixing. It made everything easy to understand and gives you full control of what needs to be fixed and what can wait. I felt well taken care of and am very satisfied with their work. And yes, I will be back. Oh, and best of all, we got a loaner for free. All we needed to do was make sure the tank was full when we gave it back! - Rene
