I have been looking for a long time to find a knowledgeable, honest and reliable mechanic in the Hampton area and I am happy to report I’ve found one. DLC Automotive Repair is the place. I had kind of an urgent problem and he took me right in. He fixed what was necessary and didn’t add on additional repairs which had happened to me in the past. His prices are more than reasonable and he works on virtually every type of vehicle. I won’t hesitate to go back there in the future which will most likely be necessary because I drive an old car! Thank you, Daniel, for your superior service. It is a rarity to find these days!

Took my car (2016, Kia optima) for an oil change and something else I forget what that was. But Daniel is the best mechanic. He is true, doesn't lie and has great prices. The service was quick and easy and the environment was a friendly atmosphere. I really enjoyed the time I spent there and I will come back for any other future repairs I will be needing. Awesome service! My car was broke down for over 2 weeks and I really needed a good mechanic to look at my vehicle. So my cousin referred me to Dan and I have to tell you that I was a little hesitant about taking my car to a mechanic that I was not familiar with. However, I decided to give Dan a chance. So I called and spoke directly with Dan and he set me up with an appointment for the following week. I had it towed to his shop location and the very same day he was calling with to tell me what was wrong with my vehicle & the price it would cost to have it fixed....after giving him the ok....I received a call back the next day and was told that my car was fixed...all ready to go. So since it was Friday....I picked it up Monday after work....but after driving a little down the road...the car was making a loud noise....so I took it back and he took a look at it again...sure enough.... in addition to replacing the Serpentine belt & the belt Tensioner....he discovered that the Alternator was bad...so he readily gave me the price & I told him to go ahead and fix it....well after all of Dan's expertise and not charging me an additional labor charge....my car is now fixed and as I speak right now....its running really good thus far....I'm definitely happy & pleased with all of Dan's hard work in fixing my car! So I just want to say to you Dan....thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! For your excellent customer service, your reasonable prices, good quality work, and most importantly your sincere honesty! After having problems with my car over heating, and taking it to the dealership I bought it from. I ended up leaving with less money in my pocket & my car still suffering from overheating. I was in desperate need to find a place to fix the actual problem and not beat around the bush, charging me extra to fix what we already established was wrong. I stumbled across DLC repair while searching up “good mechanics” on google near my area, gave them a call, and was told to come the following week for a squeeze in appointment! To say the least, I am impressed. I explained what was going on, what part I thought was giving me problems and they took it from there. After about an hour and a half of waiting, I got an update on exactly what I was expecting to be wrong! With a check in on the part took out, and what it was being replaced with. About 30/40 minutes later I was given my keys! Even the price I was quoted for stayed the same! As a women from a family of mechanics I can say I really appreciate an honest one! Thank you guys so much for the work today! And I definitely will be returning for all my repairs!!

Extremely friendly and personable place to take your car for repairs. Dan will fit you in as soon as he can, and call you with the run down before doing anything you hadn't already discussed. He's done oil changes and repairs for me and I'm fairly charged for the parts and labor. One time we weren't quite sure what was making thumping sounds when I braked. I had to take it back twice when it kept happening, but I was allowed to drop my car off promptly, and neither time was I charged a dime for parts or labor since he was fixing the same problem. This is an honest hard-working business and you can 100% trust them with your car's needs. Car troubles stress me out, but it gives me peace of mind that if anything goes wrong I can trust and rely on Dan and his auto shop. Thank you Dan!

Clean, friendly, and very reasonably priced repairs. If they are able to squeeze you in same day then they will. While they were working, I was waiting in the cool air conditioned office. Oh and did I mention they were fast! Will be recommending to my peers who need car servicing. Thank you!
