The only good/decent thing I can say is Keith is a pleasant person to work with; HOWEVER, he did not fix the issue. I originally took my Jeep to Keith to replace some shocks and also the brake pads and rotors due to brake noise. After picking up my car, not even 2 days later the brake noise returned. I took my Jeep back to Keith, he voided the previous pads and rotors, and put new ones on. 2 days later, the brake noise returned. I called and his partner told me to bring my car the next day. I get to the shop (my third time there), and Keith has to turn me away because he couldn't squeeze me in and his partner didn't tell him I was coming. I returned a 4th time, Keith said it was the rear pads/rotors. He resurfaced them and to no surprise, brake noise returned AGAIN. I took my Jeep to another shop, turns out my calipers were bad and needed to be replaced... something any mechanic should have seen if they were doing their job right. Overall, after 4 trips to his shop, he didn't even fix the actual problem. Every time, he also said it should take 2-4 hours and he always called me at the end of the day to tell me it was done (8 hours later). Besides being a pleasant person, there is nothing good I can say about this shop. If you have a Jeep, go down to Karnage Motorsport, 4x4 Garage, Adventure OffRoad, or anywhere else besides Downtown Auto Repair.

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR TO THIS SHOP!!!! I met the owner he used to come into the restaurant I worked at. I was going through a lot in my life at the time very unhappy with my job. Single mom struggling to make enough to pay my bill's ,My car was past due for an oil change and I had recently lost someone from cancer as well as me caring for my father who has cancer. If that wasn’t enough I had undiagnosed health issues for 2 years come to find out I was living in a house with black mold my son and I went and stayed w/ family , sadly I had to leave my 2 dogs I had 7 years behind in the mold w/ the owner that I was renting rooms from. Henry who was my customer seen me upset crying to a coworker one night he told me to bring my car in and he would help me with my oil change sometime in October 2024 thats we’re our relationship changed from a customer/waitress to what I thought a friendship he started sending me daily prayers, and offered to lend me money before Christmas which he did and I paid back. Fast forward to now in the beginning of January my check engine light and my car went into limp mode I slowly drove it to advanced had it put on computer it came back saying transmission E solenoid. So who do I call Good old Henry who tells me to bring it to the shop by now Im no longer working @ the restaurant my plan was to do Uber until I found another job which he knew all of this. Thankfully I was able to use my fathers car in the meantime because he can not drive anymore. A week after my car is dropped off. I still hear nothing from the shop about my car a diagnosis anything I’m having to call Henry who just told me he has more checks to run. More time passes still not hearing anything having to contact him still don’t have a diagnosis long story short he had my car for about a month and a half. I stopped by the shop several times it was parked all the way in the back of the lot. One day I go to get somethings out of it still in back lot key was in it I started it check engine light still on told me he was trying to find the cheapest route to fix it without having to open unit , being that I had other means of transportation I just figured he was doing it on the side to save me money. Meanwhile, I’m getting further and further behind in my payments at this time I am behind two payments I only owe $1160 on my car Still nothing has been done to my car and I’m being told it’s a problem in the wiring harness at this point I just wanted my car back so I told him I was probably just gonna come pick it up and give it back to the bank, in all actuality my plan was to take it to another shop. I knew it was something small like a sensor issue it was a 2018 Hyundai ELANTRA. I didn’t want to cause friction by telling him I was taking it elsewhere. His response to me was since you are behind on your payments. I’ll do you a favor. I’ll put a lien on it so the bank has to come and pay me to get the vehicle out and I will give you the money to help get you on your feet, it’s fraud it’s wrong, I was desperate the house where I left my dogs. The owner passed away suddenly Feb 9th now I’m with having to get my own place that will allow 2 pitbulls ……… I agreed he has helped me so far at this point I never thought he would do me wrong. One day I go down to take my dogs out and collect my mail and notice there’s a letter from the bank saying they have possession of my vehicle. I called the bank they paid $5700 to the mechanic to pick up my vehicle. He never called to tell me my car was picked up I go by the shop he’s telling me he has cancer something with his blood cells my dad has blood cancer so I asked what kind he could not answer, Now I know he’s lying. He told me he had to call lien company and would call me the following day, that week I text him several times no response I go by the shop 1 day at closing time His worker tells me he never showed up. He’s in the hospital. I park around the corner to see him. Pull up five minutes later, he actually took me on a high-speed chase and ran from me. I couldn’t believe it.

I have a 2019 MOAB wrangler and everyone knows jeeps are always work because they are so customizable. These guys take great care of her and find joy in it as well. Downtown total car care did exactly as their name says. I was recommended to them from SoFlo Jeeps, they said that this shop is the best in the area. I brought my 2010 wrangler unlimited in which needed a lot of work, new engine, full service, front end, suspension, rust removal. The owner and mechanics are very wise, experienced, knowledgable and skilled. They were direct and to the point on what my car needed also helped me out with my budget and didnt pressure me. Once the work was done, I was amazed, they even went above & beyond to fix some extra things. - Just listen to them with full attention, dont argue if you dont know what youre talking about, be cool, and most importantly be patient and respectful, these guys will take care of your car if you give them a good amount of time and follow up with them appropriately.

Let me start by saying I never do reviews unless absolutely deserving and below I brake down each Timeliness, Friendliness, Service and Price. Hands down the BEST Auto Repair Shop in Fort Lauderdale. I called due to my Jeep making a roaring sound - knowing I would need to replace my brakes and rotors. Timeliness: I got a call back immediately and scheduled for the next morning to come in. My car was finished by the end of the day Friendliness: Henry and Keith are extremely nice and warm. I felt comfortable I was going to receive great service and not take advantage of. Will gave me a ride to work and was very kind and funny. Service: Keith was very thorough in explaining the issue. He even kept the old brakes and rotors to show me what was causing the roaring and why they needed to be replaced. They also did a full inspection on my car and topped off other fluids at no cost. My car is running beautifully, no further issues. Price: I originally was quoted $800 for the work from a competing repair shop, my cost at Downtown repair was less than half that. The best part, is I will need new front brakes in 6 months or so, but they didn't push to add on more than I needed at the time. I appreciate a place that respects their customers finances. Please choose Downtown Auto Repair for any vehicle issues you may have. You won't regret it. These guys are the best.

Keith and his team did an amazing job on my 2002 S2K. He instantly diagnosed the issues I was having and was able to fix the car very quickly at a great price. He instantly realized that my alignment was the reason that my steering was off and fixed it. My clutch was on its last legs and he replaced it. The interior of my car was smelling like coolant, indicating a leak. Keith diagnosed the problem and replaced the radiator hose and it solved the problem. It's very difficult to find a shop that is so efficient and can do everything for your car. I usually have to go to different shops for different needs. For instance, I have been looking for a way to fix my passenger side door handle that broke off a few months ago due to wear and tear. I showed it to Keith when I was there and he told me that he can fix if as soon as I find a replacement door handle. I'm working on find a replacement piece as we speak. I'm extremely happy with the work and professionalism of this shop and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of work on their car. I just had an issue with my car today. I went to the shop and explained what was wrong with it. Keith was able to address the problem and my car is running beautifully. This is now my go to shop whenever I have any car problems. These guys can fix everything.

**Negative Review for Downtown Wheel** I had a frustrating experience with Downtown Wheel. I placed an order for wheels and tires, agreeing to a price of $3,800, which they charged to my credit card in advance. However, I never received the wheels and tires as promised. I tried to reach out to them for an update, but communication has been unhelpful and slow. It’s disappointing to deal with a company that charges upfront but fails to deliver on its commitments. If this issue isn’t resolved soon, I will have to dispute the charge with my credit card company. I would caution others before doing business with Downtown Wheel, as my experience has not been satisfactory.

Henry & Keith were quick about my oil change! The only problem I’m having is I got an oil change with Keith, Keith was great, explained everything but when he gave me my car back (09/25/25), he didn’t tell me that he accidentally peeled my windshield tint due to the last oil change sticker being stuck there. (If you saw it started peeling, shouldn’t you have stopped?!?) I told Henry right away when I saw this and he came to inspect it then told me that he was going to get his tint guy to look and see if he’ll be able to fix it. 2 weeks pass and I text him for an update, Henry said he was sick. Ok cool. Wished him a speedy recovery. 2 more weeks pass and nothing. I texted him on 10/22 to get any update, no response but just read. I texted him later to tell him I would like to be compensated for what I paid but again was just left on read. Please do not say one thing to your customer then not come through with the help. I just will like to get what I paid for to be able to use it towards getting my windshield tinted again since they peeled a good little section off.
