Edit to review: After being refused service due to my too many questions, I got a second opinion. They saved me THOUSANDS. It was simply a plastic piece within my transmission that needed to be replaced, NOT an entire rebuild as Chris at Dr Trans had quoted. I got the repair plus a couple others to get it in tip top shape, and pause for my rental of 2 months for LESS than what they told me. They base business off of no questions. Always a good idea to GET A SECOND OPINION. Original review: Was quoted a minimum and maximum price for repairs then when discussing moving forward was told it would definitely be $1000 higher than the minimum price quoted. Then when I called later to start repairs I waited for a return call, then was denied service. This is incredibly unprofessional, especially when it comes to thousands of dollars being handled. Would never recommend. Misleading and rude in time of need.

Chris and his team are what a family operated shop that has been in business for 30ish years should be. They have pride and passion for the work they do, fair prices, go the extra mile to make sure everything is solid and ready to go. READ THIS REVIEW: Dr. Trans is the kind of shop that most car guys spend their lives looking for. Let me save you the time. Chris and his team will not stop until your project, daily driver or pride & joy is repaired and reliable. They go above and beyond with attention to detail and skill when it comes to their diagnostic and repair services. They did a complete rebuild of my 727 Torqueflight in my 1965 Satellite. It’s a performance transmission and not every shop can work on these (despite what they say). Chris brought the knowledge, experience and passion to the table and the project was a success. His shop is spotless (as a trans shop should be) and his work reflects the same attention to detail. His pricing is fair and you absolutely get the best for your money. Do yourself a favor and just take your car here so you know it’s done right the first time.

Now I know what you did with my lower control arm chassis mounts last summer Dr. Oooga Booga 🔪☠️. I think the helicoil job will cost me more than the “free work” you did on the TTRS. Edit: 2 years later I finally pulled my transmission again to fix the work I argued with Dr Trans over criminally high markups on bearings and seals for my Audi. Found the input shaft bearing collar destroyed. The bearings inside were intact and in good working condition. This means that the same monkey who stripped out my unibody with the subframe bolts (see photo) most likely pressed input shaft bearing (see photo) incorrectly to the case. Shady shop, high prices. Maybe not the experience for everyone, but I guarantee you everyone doesn’t have the same eye as I do.

I had to get the transmission rebuilt for my 2013 Ram 2500. My rebuilt transmission by Dr. trans went out after 30,000 miles and I was told there is nothing they can do about it I had to spend another 4000 to rebuild my transmission again at a totally different place. Don’t get sucked into it they didn’t even offer a repair or any help at all only said the warranty covers 24,000 miles and since I was at 30,000 miles there’s nothing they could do. Unbelievable I will never recommend this place to anyone
