I cannot recommend Dustin's strongly enough. If you look at my reviews, I am blunt, direct, and honest. And, at the risk of repeating myself, I recommend Dustin's very highly. Update: 7/13/23 - I called back with a similar issue and had a couple of questions. They were happy to help, even though I was on the east coast. They looked up my history, made sure that I understood the work that they had performed and answered all of my questions. Again, great place. Original post: My wife and I live in an RV full-time and it is our only home. My wifes mom is dying and we absolutely HAD to get to Las Vegas for a flight. My engine started overheating and I was able to limp it into Dustin's shop. Although he was booked out well into the future, he moved things out of the way to get us back on the road. We made it to Vegas, my wife made her flight, and we could not be more grateful. If he cares enough to make room for us, he cares enough to do a good job. He even pointed out two potential issues and gave me instructions on how to deal with them if they arose. You just don't get that kind of customer service in a lot of places.

Brought in my 2016 Subaru Crosstrek with problems with the air conditioning. They were super busy (week before 4th of July), I was expecting them to have my car for several days. They looked at it immediately, called with an estimate within 2 hours of dropping it off, had it fixed and ready to pick up 2 hours later. Chris and Dustin both are incredibly friendly, and the price for repair was more than fair. I will 100% be using them for any other issues that arise with my car! Highly recommend!!

I took my Ram here to get a diagnosis because it was acting. Very strange, but they pretty much told me. I don't know what I'm talking about. And then walked away and ignored me. And never came back, left me standing there for at least 1520 minutes.

We had our 2004 4WD Ford Ranger towed here for a clutch replacement. They were thorough, straightforward, and didn’t give us the run-around like a lot of shops in town have. They listened to our concerns and symptoms/diagnosis and got to work right away on the necessary repairs. They finished the replacement in a very impressive turnaround time, and kept us updated on the state of the issues, which was such a relief! They were very helpful with additional questions we had. This has been the best auto repair experience we have had in the Reno/Sparks area by far!

Dustin is a very good mechanic and very honest! He will tell you what is wrong with your vehicle and will fix only what is wrong. He is very reasonable with his charges which other shops and dealerships are not! He doesn't overcharge. He is a very likeable guy! They even help you to get your vehicle to pass smog!!

I took my car to Dustin’s after having tons of issues with my car. I dropped it off at the shop yesterday and they had it ready to go this afternoon. All of the guys there are absolutely amazing and they have the greatest customer service of any business I have ever been to. I was on a road trip and ended up in Reno with a leaking fuel pump on my sprinter van. I called a bunch of places and Dustin's was the only place that worked on Sprinters and could get me in right away. Had a great experience working with them. I told them what I thought was going on and needed to be done, they did it, and they got me back on the road same-day. Dustin called me a couple times throughout the day to keep me updated on what was going on. Paid a fair price. Overall I'm very happy with the service!

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at Dustin auto. Due to their lack of experienced technicians and poor management, my tire was cross-threaded three times in a row. This repeated issue not only wasted my time but also caused significant frustration and inconvenience. To make matters worse, instead of taking responsibility for their repeated mistakes, the owner and staff tried to shift the blame onto another shop's technician, accusing them of lacking experience. This unprofessional behavior and refusal to acknowledge their own shortcomings are unacceptable. I would strongly advise anyone considering using Dustin auto princeton to look elsewhere. Proper training and accountability are crucial in this industry, and unfortunately, this shop fails on both counts.

Another car shop (equality automotive) handed my car back after an almost $800 “fix”on my ac, but they improperly diagnosed the problem and when I went back, to fix what wasn’t fixed, (ac still didn’t work) they said I needed a new compressor (almost 1400, and denied that they “should have” been able to catch any other problems when they diagnosed it just a couple of months ago. It was even still cold outside. I was not using the AC. I think it worked five days or so before it crapped out again, making the same noise it made before I took it in to fix it.) . Equality said nothing about the lines or any leakage outside of what they said was a condenser leak.which might have just been the line leak. Anyway, Dustins said that there was old dust, that the leak was pretty old . EQUALITY automotive didn’t catch this and then they were going to charge me another almost $1400 to replace the compressor that it turns out doesn’t even need replacing. They fixed the line and its perfect. Dustin‘s automotive was able to diagnose the actual problem, replaced what needed replacing and save me $700 in the process. I wish I had gone there first. Amazing service. Their communication is excellent, and while their prices are standard, they fix the actual problem. My air conditioning hasn’t worked this well since I bought the car in 2015.

I really hate to write this review. I’ve been using Dustin’s Automotive for years and had always considered Dustin a friend. I recently took my son’s Volkswagen Golf there for a clutch repair. The car already had an aftermarket clutch installed, and his staff agreed that my son could provide the replacement parts while they handled the installation. There was no paperwork or contract signed, and during their test drive, the vehicle stopped running. They towed it back to their shop and told me to come pick it up. Despite the issue occurring on their test drive, they charged me full labor and refused to even look into the problem unless I paid the same labor charge again. I had to have the car towed to another shop and repaired at my own expense. I tried to reach a reasonable solution with Dustin directly, but he refused. I can’t, in good conscience, recommend this business. What happened here isn’t just bad business — it’s unethical, and in my opinion, against the law.

I have always been weary of mechanics, honesty is not standard with everyone in this industry. I had a head gasket go in my truck and Dustin’s automotive diagnosed it correctly and gave me a VERY fair deal. I would recommend this shop to anybody I know.
