Simply excellent, I don’t know cars but the whole experience was so smooth and affordable that I’m looking forward to bringing car back in. Eric and Glen at Eastside Autoworks are the rare combination of great listeners and great problem solvers. They are VW Eurovan geeks with the skill and experience required to keep your van running smoothly for years to come. They found and fixed the source of my exhaust leak that three other shops couldn’t or wouldn’t fix. They came through for me on short notice when my kill switch was acting up and made the right suggestions for fixing it as well as fixing a lingering engine issue. My van is running better than it has for years. 5/23/25 On my latest visit they quickly diagnosed the rattle on my front passenger side as an incorrectly installed brake. They disassembled it and put it back together right. The brakes work great and no longer rattle.

Recently purchased a 2003 VW Eurovan Weekender for outdoor adventuring. We originally contacted Glenn and the team at Eastside Autoworks regarding a pre-purchase inspection, and while we ended up not going through with it due to timing Glenn still helped us look over the van's information to get a sense of whether it was worth the purchase. We've since taken the van in for an overhaul and couldn't be happier with the service. Everyone there is clearly a VW enthusiast, really knowledgeable about Eurovans and all repairs. Glenn gave us an overview of what needed to be done on the van alongside priorities, which helped us plan out repairs. Prices were good and the service fantastic, with the whole team coming out when we picked up our van to tell us about it. A great bunch of professionals. Our Eurovan has since been on road trips to California and coastal Oregon / Washington, without any issues whatsoever. Will happily take it back there for service! Update after ~ 9 months: our van is still running strong thanks to Eastside's help. Another CA road trip under its belt, surf excursions to the coast, and not a problem in sight. The team helped us address some lingering priority maintenance issues just before the holidays, which was really appreciated. Service is always with a smile (behind the masks), and the whole process is very safe thanks to all the covid precautions. Top notch place, would not take my Eurovan anywhere else!

My husband and I were referred to Eric and Glenn at Eastside Autoworks as Eurovan specialists and possible sources of info about two VW Eurovan Weekenders in the Seattle area that we were considering purchasing. Being from out of the area (Lake Tahoe), we wanted to get as much info as possible before committing to flying up there to check out the vans. Not only were Eric and Glenn knowledgeable, they were super kind, helpful and responsive to general questions from us, "lay" people starting at square one. They knew we were not local and were not likely to be able to use their (excellent, we were told) mechanic services - - and still took time from their busy days to help us out. We ended up learning what's important to check out when considering these vans and gained the confidence, through them, to make a good decision. At one point I felt dependent on Eric's advice and was sure that I was bugging him as I kept coming to him with questions... But he was incredibly patient and always super helpful. It was refreshing to be helped by pure kindness, without being transactional in nature, and to know that these guys really care about these vans and helping people through the buying process. This implies alot about the high quality of service and care they must have for their "paying" customers. So good to experience.

Our 2002 Eurovan Camper has been with us for decades of family adventures, but has gotten increasingly difficult to maintain in our hometown of Bellingham. It is hard to get parts for it, and local automotive folks don’t want to deal with the hassle. When the window broke on the sliding door it was covered by insurance but no one in Bellingham could source a window! Glenn came to the rescue, found a used window, and one of his guys pruned blackberries away from the donor van to get it (I hope he got hazard pay?!). They even brought me a bowl of berries to eat while I waited! The window is tinted darker because it’s out of a non-camper but it’s better than no window! The door glides better than it did before and they insulated it for noise while they had it apart. The window tint is actually kind of nice for privacy, I may get the others tinted? Worth the drive, I will be back soon to Eastside to fix some of the other things they suggested, once our summer adventures are over. It is so worth going to people who specialize in these now vintage vans. Thank you Eastside!

These guys are the best. You can tell they know and love Eurovans so they are familiar with all the typical problems and have lots of experience in servicing them. Our last service was in early July 2023. They replaced the engine/transmission mounts (highly recommended) , lifted the sagging front suspension and installed a new set of tires. And, they got it all done before our deadline (thanks Eric!). We've done some long trips since then, including towing a boat half way up Vancouver Island and driving through the 103 degree heat in Bend, OR. The van has run flawlessly. It is much quieter with the new Kuhmo tires and that extra inch and half of lift to the front suspension has made a notable improvement to the view looking out the front windshield. I highly recommend Eastside Autoworks.

Glenn at Eastside Autoworks was just the person I was hoping to find. I have a 2018 Ram Promaster 2500 that has been converted for off grid camping. Adding more comforts of home, with the knowledge on how to keep my vitron electrical system operational and healthy was exactly what Glenn offered. And, as a bonus, he is a nice person. I'm a new owner of a 2002 eurovan camper and got connected to this business via the previous owners. I've appreciated the skill and customer service provided. In addition to taking good care of my van, they go the extra mile with customers. I always feel comfortable asking questions and getting good answers that help me learn about my van. On top of that....they have organized several "camp outs" attended by the owner and staff and customers. Very fun...good laughs...good food...new van friends...and great learning opportunities.
