Great service and great upfront inspection was sent to me to review before anything outside the oil change was done.

Yes, verry happy. The technicians took time to figure out the problem, explained it to me, and promptly fixed it. I feel very safe driving my car again. I'll certainly be back with any future issues. Everyone was courteous and professional, from my first phone call to picking my car up. Thank you so very much. I appreciate each and every one of you. Thank you again!

The quality of work and customer service is top notch. Both times I have been in they offered advice and options to choose from with no sales pressure. While my SUV was in they inspected it and offered to fix any issues at a very reasonable price and offer assurances the SUV was otherwise in good working order. I will be taking my SUVs/Cars there from now on! Thanks OJ, Chris and the Fluid Motor Union Team!

Fluid MotorUnion absolutely transformed my GT350. Their beautiful custom exhaust with the 3D printed Z-pipe and jumbo megaphones (as seen in their YouTube videos) is incredible. The entire system looks amazing, sounds perfect, and delivers the kind of character and performance I was hoping for. The car feels sharper, stronger, and more exciting to drive. OJ and the team clearly take pride in what they do, and it shows in every weld, every detail, the final custom tune, and extra time and effort put into the craftsmanship and results are top-notch, and they made the car into something truly unique. Couldn’t be happier!

Wonderful experience. I reached out to Fluid MotorUnion to seek help In fulfilling my life long dream to own a proper E39 BMW M5. First I sourced a fair to good quality unit sight unseen from an online auction platform. The vehicle was located in Canada during a pandemic at the time. Touched base with Marilyn at fluid motor Union to set up a plan. Her team was very happy to help in the process. Second I set up shipping of the vehicle directly from Canada to FMU for a full inspection. OJ and his team at FMU not only are master technicians and great people, the team at Fluid MotorUnion are automotive enthusiasts. They dug deep into my E39 BMW M5 as they inspected the vehicle, which every vehicle that receives a basic oil change receives this same thorough inspection. And we set up a plan to have everything that they recommended serviced to have a happy car. While giving a few optional goodies to add on to the unit to make it individually mine and how I wanted it, as an OEM + spec M5. FMU is ahead of the automotive scheduled maintenance, all manufacturers warranty repair work, individualism and custom fabrication industry. Once you make your first contact with Fluid Motor Union you are treated like family, better yet you are now a member of the Union. They will go over any questions and present many options that will be in any budget that one may have in mind. FMU also offers online, text based scheduling system that is great. With online links to all your inspections and service recommendations with bills of lading and photos and videos of service being performed or a part that may need to be replaced in near future. as well as in person or over the phone for your custom fabrication and individual needs. As a over the road truck driver I wanted FMU in charge of this task because I knew I could trust them and as enthusiasts they would properly handle what I was looking for with my dream project and they over delivered. As I’m almost never home they went above and beyond to cater to my service needs when I was available as we worked together as a team to have my now dream car in better than new condition at home with me forever. Looking forward doing business with Fluid Motor Union for many years to come. Thank you again Marilyn ,OJ, and Donny you and your team are the best.

Would recommend for your high-end, rare or custom built vehicle. Working with the shop crew and especially OJ will convince you of their talent, knowledge and expertise. Thanks, FMU. I am again enjoying my Twin turbo TA and the exhaust build video.

I’m from out of state, I found out about FMU through Alex from Legit Street Cars. I happened to be in Naperville for a family trip and decided to give them a visit to discuss building a custom exhaust for a BMW M6 E64, I wanted the high pitch sound that the V10 engine deserves. When I first met O.J. and his team they were super attentive and listened to what I wanted, and they set the goal to make it happen regardless of what had to be done. They built it on a E63 chasis they had in house. When I received the exhaust it was a work of art, unfortunately it didn’t fit, but as soon as I communicated the issue O.J. and Marylin brainstormed with me and we went through many possible options. I know that modifying a car sometimes can take unexpected turns and it can be frustrating but I looked at the bright side, I decided to send the car, I decided to add sport cats to decrease the smell of gas so I can cruise with the family, and ultimately they were so apologetic and open to help me out going so far out of their way to satisfy me. I assumed the responsibility for costs that were my own fault, I realized my aftermarket headers had a different connection to the OEM exhaust which didn’t pair with the new custom exhaust, I also knew my E64 convertible had underbody braces that the E63 coupe doesn’t have and that played a role when maximizing the tube diameter it just had a bit of conflict with the chasis brace support. They redid the job and improved on their work of art. But to really put a cherry on top, FMU really went above and beyond, the day I flew to pick up the car to road trip it back home they were getting it ready with fresh fluid change and found a small oil leak from the oil cooler (common issue) and they managed fixed it before I got there. O.J, Marylin, Cody, the FMU crew they are truly standup guys. I decided to make lemonade out of lemons and after the fitment issue I cruised back home and made a stop through The Tail of the Dragon.

These people have taken our car, charged us for service with one bill and after marking paid give us the same bill same charges only escalated charges with thousands added on numerous occasions. This woman Marilyn had so called ordered parts from Palma in NJ and charged us $600.00 yet when speaking to him she hadn’t paid for nor initiated the work. We have paid over $17,000.00 for our RR and she has charged for work that was never done and to add insult to injury is holding our car, has blocked our calls and refuses to respond. We are speaking with a lawyer. This is disgraceful!! Nate Kitchen

Fluid Motor Union installed a Hi Tech Kevlar clutch/flywheel on my 08 Lamborghini Superleggera Oct 2021. 2.5 yrs/4k miles later the clutch/flywheel are destroyed. Car never felt right since install and Fluid took a few attempts to reprogram the PIS but I found out later the degradation index was not properly reset at install. Went back and forth with the owner OJ during this time who was reluctant to honor any warranty and only agreed to work/fix my car “in a few months” and only if I “was nice to him.” Ended up getting a new clutch installed with another shop who got it right from the start. Avoid unless you want to spend $18k with zero warranty.

Only because the admin replied to my review I need to add the initial email. My original email was to get a quote on an oil change, transmission service and a rod bearing job. This is all standard service. There is no check engine light, there is nothing to diagnose, it's fairly simple service. You don't need to waste my time by seeing the car just to tell me how much a fluid change is. Every single dealer and independent shop has these #s easily available. Why don't you guys? Why do you need to see a car to give a price for an oil change? Either you are incompetent or want to upcharge other service. Who on earth takes a car to get a quote for an oil change then takes it back to get the work done? You guys have tons of YT videos showing the rod bearing work too. Your guys are completely pathetic! Previous review. Strung me along for over 1 month with 1 email saying they are really busy - then next saying they only respond to cell phone numbers and not email addresses then they reply back saying they need to see the car. Why didnt they just say that 1.5 months ago or when I called!

This shop lives up to the hype and reputation. Brought in my car for something that isn’t ordinary. Installing hood pins and drilling into my new carbon hood. The process did take a little longer than anticipated. The team was very communicative and made sure everything was dialed in while also taking care not to damage the hood. I appreciate all the hard work and attention to detail. I’ll be back for other services down the road.

Fluid Motor Union always takes great care of us and our Land Rover. Marilyn is wonderful to work with and the process is always a breeze. They send us a multi-point inspection with photos and are always honest and up-front about work needing to be done. I can't recommend them enough and always do!

$12k, 14 months, the main problems not fixed, several thousand dollars in additional damage caused, and no desire to take accountability for their mistakes was my experience. Note, no response to this review. I tried to resolve my issue with Fluid Motorunion before posting this, but they never called me back and I was only able to speak with them if I dropped in. At first they pretended to care and said they had insurance, then told me their insurance wouldn't cover the problems because of the amount of time that had passed, then "we want to make it right," and finally, why didn't you tell us sooner. I took my 98 M3 Turbo to Fluid Motorunion after a problematic custom turbo build at another shop. The car was stalling occasionally and the check engine light was coming on for a cylinder misfire every 100 - 200 miles. They did a complete inspection and were able to fix a few of the easier items they discovered along the way, like replacing a control arm and bushing, but I received the car back with the same problems 14 months and $12k later. Here are the details: Fluid Motorunion sighted I had a head gasket leak. They sold me a stage 3 cylinder head that they said belonged to one of their customers who had bought it for a project, but never used it. I said no, but after waiting 6 months for parts on back order from VAC I agreed and asked for the original receipts. Donny told me they had no receipts, but I agreed anyway with the promise they'd send me lots of pictures. I asked for the pictures several times over the next few months and was finally told, oops, we already put the engine back together. I was upset to say the least, but the worst is yet to come. When I picked up the car, the rear seat was not installed, the fog light was dragging on the ground and the engine oil catch can filter was smashed, like someone had leaned on it. I also experienced the same issues of stalling and the check engine light coming on. At this point I felt Fluid Motorunion was not going to be able to resolve my issues and I was wasting my time and money there. I did a lot of research and was lucky to find CES Motorsports in Monroe, NC. Here's a quote from the owner, John at CES about what he found when he opened up my motor: "We pulled the motor and broke it down and have news… I have pics attached. The cylinder head is built, but not quite ideally. The valves are upgraded, and upgraded retainers, but when the cams were installed, they must have stripped a couple of the stud holes that hold the cam trays and bridges in place, and they ended up tapping the head and installing bigger and also different threaded studs to try and fix their mistake. These bigger studs also required them to bore out the cam bridge holes to a larger size to fit the bigger studs, and they were also tapped crooked. To make matters worse, the cam journals in some areas are heavily scored with pretty deep scratches in them, which would suggest the motor was never primed properly when it was cranked, and damaged them before oil could get up to the cams to lubricate them. Or there was excessive debris in the motor when it was built and broken in." So YES, the head Fluid Motorunion sold me for $2400, $6,416 installed, was leaking, and more importantly not useable because of it's condition. Maybe the head was already a mess from the customer and they didn't see it, or maybe they did the damage themselves. I don't know. HERE'S THE BEST PART. I emailed the owner Marilyn with this information and received no reply. When I called a couple of weeks later she was very apologetic about everything and asked me to give her a couple of days so she could investigate the matter and told me that they had insurance for this sort of thing. It’s been 2.5 months - I've sent multiple emails and left voice mails, but received no response. Now when I call Fluid Motorunion, the phone goes straight to voicemail. Maybe they can do good bolt on mods or custom exhausts, but I would never take my car there again solely because they won't even discuss their mistakes.

I had custom exhaust work, a tune, blow-off valves, and a lowering kit installed at Fluid MotorUnion, and the experience exceeded every expectation. OJ is a genius and a perfectionist in the best sense of the word. He and his team are not satisfied until the work is right. Not “good enough,” not “close,” but right. Every detail mattered, and it showed in both the process and the final result. What sets Fluid MotorUnion apart is how they collaborate with you. They listen, challenge ideas when it makes sense, explain options clearly, and work with you to achieve your vision rather than pushing a preset solution. If you care about quality, craftsmanship, and working with a shop that treats your vehicle like their own, I highly recommend Fluid MotorUnion. This is where you go when you want it done right.

I can’t say enough good things about Fluid Motor Union. Every single time I bring my car in, I’m met with kindness, honesty, and genuine care. They take the time to explain everything clearly, never make me feel rushed, and always make sure the job is done right. It’s rare to find people you can truly trust with your car, and I honestly wouldn’t go anywhere else. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and friendly attitude make the entire experience stress-free. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers, not just the work. If you’re looking for reliable service from people who treat you like family, this is the place. I’m so grateful to have found them and highly recommend them to anyone looking for top-quality work and even better people!

Had a great experience, brought my 2017 X1 in for coolant issues and they found the problem also found a small oil leak, they explained everything in depth. They made me feel very comfortable and set my mind at ease. Its a little bit of a drive for me to come to Fluid, but well worth the drive. I will be bringing both my vehicles to them moving forward. Thank you OJ, Marilyn and the Fluid MotorUnion crew for making this expense painless. Although I didn't get to talk to OJ I did see him, it was neat seeing him in person and not just on YouTube. Thanks again Scott
