we were quoted A price of $500.00 and when we went to pick it up. I was told $1800.00 instead of $500.00. I provided patterns for what I wanted done and was told by Frank (himself) “he was keeping the Paterson’s until I paid his price of $1800.00) I paid $600.00 and only got one item. It didn’t,t even fit. I DO Not Recommend them because of VERY poor service

Frank Johnston Upholstery in Redding, CA is the Best around! Our dear friend, Kathleen Davoli highly recommended Frank's shop when my truck's headliner and seat began to sag and show wear. I didn't realize how much of a hole I was sitting in until Frank and his crew created a new bench seat! And what a delight it was not to be concerned about the headliner dropping down over my head at the most inappropriate time! Thank you to Frank and his wife, Victoria and crew! Highly recommend!

I was in Redding for one last day when I called to see if Frank Johnston Upholstery could sew up a rip in my Sienna car seat. It was 11 am and Vicky said to come down so they could take a look and she even gave me a "ballpark" estimate over the phone, which most businesses won't do. I came by at lunchtime and Frank looked at my car and told me to come back after 1 pm to drop the car off. Frank sewed up the rip and replaced the side panel that was also in bad shape for $125. He did such a great job! It looks great. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Both Vicky and Frank were friendly and professional and I HIGHLY recommend them. And for them to be able to take care of me same day was great!

The repair on the car was fine, but the employees are extremely rude! They never called me when my vehicle was done, so I could pick it up. I had to call them and ask when/if my car was done. I thought I would be done with this place forever! But of not. They left their tools in back on my car and I had to drive all the way across town because of their mistake. Rude and unwelcoming, will not be returning nor recommending.

They gave me an estimate for installing some upholstery. The next day when I picked up the seats they charged me double of what they originally quoted per hour. When I asked for the reason, their response was "because it is a Porsche that's why it is high, if it was a Toyota it will be different" so unprofessional and rude. It's about time Redding businesses like this focus more on customer service than ripping off people just because they drive a nice car. With big regrets, I would stay away from this business at all costs.

They do serious upholstery jobs here, things like heavy duty boat covers and boat seats, even "false mares". Didn't end up having my particular repair done here but looks like a very professional outfit (mine was way too lightweight and cheap to be worth repairing here).

About a year ago, I made some bench seating and needed custom covers made from a sunbrella fabric I provided. I also provided the foam. This place did an absolutely unreal job. The covers are holding up perfectly . I have taken them off twice for cleaning and all the seams are bullet proof. I was VERY impressed with the job. Could not have asked for a better job to be done.

Had been recommended to this shop by multiple people. Was very excited to call and when I did call the lady laughed in my face when I asked her is she had availability to do an engine cover and 3 seats. Didn't make me feel very good. Poor customer service.

I came across a guy advertising upholstery work on Facebook. I needed upholstery work so I contacted him and we set up an appointment. I showed up at the shop at the scheduled time to drop off my seat but the guy I contacted wasn’t there yet and the less than agreeable woman who appeared to be running the show said that the guy who was to upholster my seat isn’t supposed to be doing side work there and refused to let me drop off my seat. Thanks for wasting my time. You don’t expose whatever clown show you have going on behind the scenes and then kick the customer to the curb. You take the seat and charge the guy shop time to use the facility and then fire him if you don’t like what he’s doing. Later he claimed she didn’t know what she was talking about. Whatever, I gotta go somewhere else.

Went there picked out the right color of leather.It ended up being his son's first job.The work looked ok but he didn't use leather it was vinyl .Didn't last 6 months .Took it back and he wanted me to pay 350 to have it done again .No thank you.

It was the worst experience ever, was supposed to have the best upholstery service but got attacked for things their guys "didn't know" ? And that's my fault. Never have anyone in my life attack me instead of being kind and customer service they BLamed Me for their issues!?? I got scared and left..

They modified a cushion on my couch. They used the fabric from the lounge section to make a regular cushion. So no more lounge section sticking out in the way. I love it 🤩 Thank you so much. I have a lot more room and its much easier to clean. I love the couch all over again! It only took a couple of days. They mostly do auto upholstery so fabric choices were mostly vinyl but we decided to use the fabric on the original cushion and it matches perfectly! What do you think 🤔.....

I have been looking for a quality upholstery shop. A friend got in my car had something. In his pocket. Ripped my seat. I have Recardo seat $3.650. Each, I went to his shop they did the job and you can't tell it ever happened. Thank you for doing a fantastic job. I will be back with other things I need done.
