Franklynn Automotive is the best! I called and talked to the shop foreman Jake about my temperature gauge inside my car that shows the temperature outside. I explained to him that while on that particular day it was about 85 degrees out my temperature inside the car only showed it was 73 degrees out. He knew right on the phone that it could be 1 of 4 things. I was really impressed. So he was pretty sure which one it was and said that he would order the part and it should be in the next day and he would call me. He called and said the part was in and said to stop by at any time and he would put it in. I went up there and I didn't even have to get out of my car as the part just popped in under my hood! I was impressed. He is one smart mechanic. I paid for my repair and was on my way. I appreciate the knowledge of mechanic and the kindest of Franklynn Automotive for the fast service. I'll be back when it's time for winter maintenance.

Gravely disappointed. I chose Franklynn Automotive for an oil change after reading the great reviews. According to the website, it should have been under $79. Instead I was charged $97 and they tried to upsell me out the wazoo. Very, very disappointed. One and done with this place.

I visited for the first time for a simple maintenance list for my 4Runner. They correctly identified a small transfer case leak, and then went the distance by calling Toyota and verifying it was under my powertrain warranty by the time I got back for pickup. Honest and friendly shop.

The team is very nice and pleasant but unfortunately my experience was negative: I brought my car with stalling problem and they told me after one day that there’s nothing wrong with it but I need an oil change. I did the oil change there (pretty pricy- 100$ for Mazda cx5 which I can get normally for 70$). I do have to mention they didn’t charge me the diagnosis fee since nothing was found. When I drove home my car continued stalling and I took it to another auto care place. They found out 1. The cable connected to the battery was loose, which caused the stalling, they tightened it for free. 2. The oil change warning light was not reset, so the warning light was stuck on and I never actually needed an oil change (I indeed got one done two months ago). I called Franklynn to report the recent update and they said I should have told them I got an oil change 2 months ago.

I took my new car to Franklin for an inspection and had a wonderful experience. Everyone there is so kind and professional. They provide pictures of everything with a detailed explanation and what needs to be done as well as an estimate that I could give it to the dealership that was covering repairs for 90 days. I will definitely return when I need repairs on my car.

Not a fan. I had an appointment at 9am, dropped my car off on time, and was told a 2-3 hour wait for front only break pad replacement. I thought, great! I can run errands and pick up my meds after I get the car back, and hubs drove me home. Well 2-3 hours came and went and before we knew it, it was 9 hours later. I never heard from an actual person during the process unless I called them, and when I did hear something it was a quote for what they had checked on my car (mind you no maintenance had even started yet) and it was already 2:30pm. My car was ready at 5, they closed at 5:30 and we called ahead to make sure we could pick up today and not leave it over night. They said no issue and when we got there we asked about the long wait. They explained it got pushed back due to other things with other cars, but never once called me or said anything about being sorry they didn’t contact us about the wait. They even gave us the “we stayed late for you” (10 minutes past close) and one of them had their car out front and running as if they were anxious to dip after we left. They had pulled my car in for overnight storage and were anticipating keeping it, all while we had no idea. To top it off, they left a review card and a cookie in my car. Now I have no problem with things being pushed back or late or whatever, my issue is with the lack of contact and communication. I had important meds to pick up today that I couldn’t get since my husbands car was unavailable during the day, so this screwed up my entire day off of work. They also didn’t tell me about any shop fees or taxes when they gave me the quote and the total at pick up was $100 more than my initial quote. Oh well. Here is your review, at least the cookie was good (and not even baked by their company lol)

Do not bring your car here!! They’re either incompetent, lazy, or trying to scam you. Took my truck in for a code related to my turbo actuator. They looked at it (apparently) and told me the entire turbo needs replaced for $3600. I got a second opinion and ended up replacing the actuator myself. The turbo is fine. Cost me $200 for the actuator and a days worth of work. Looked like no one had even touched a thing down there. Not sure if they got lazy and didn’t want to look into it or just wanted to squeeze more money out of me. If that’s not enough, here’s some other issues I had: They charge $220 an hour for labor. Insane!! Had to call near closing after several days to see if they had found anything yet. They said “oh yeah I thought I sent it to you yesterday.” Then why didn’t you follow up? I had to call 24 hours later to find out? I told them I needed to get my truck on Saturday. They said no problem, we will leave the keys in a lockbox. Sure enough, there was no lockbox and the steering wheel was locked with an aftermarket lock. They called me Monday and apologized and offered an uber which was nice because at least they took ownership. But after all the other issues, it’s inexcusable. Will not be back, and I suggest to anyone looking, go elsewhere. Avoid this place. EDIT: since I can’t respond, here’s some context. I was not told “hey the actuator is failed, we can replace that but we’ve seen these turbos fail before even after doing that, we suggest replacing the turbo.” Instead, I was told “yeah the actuator failed but it’s not just electrical, the wastegate itself is physically failed and won’t move, which is an unserviceable part and requires an entire turbo replacement.” Which wasn’t true in the slightest Big distinction there. One is honest, one is dishonest.

My experience at Franklynn Automotive was phenomenal! My wife just happened to randomly Google this shop to get a second opinion on our Jeep Grand Cherokee, and we could not be more thankful they diagnosed and resolved the issue fairly quickly…seeing how the problem with our Jeep was one they were familiar with, and knew exactly how to repair it. Turnaround time was quick, the service writers Katelyn and Steve were great. So I’m very appreciative of their customer service and the work from the tech. I definitely will bring my vehicle back here for any further service.

On top of that, their pricing was more than fair—no surprises, just honest work at a reasonable rate.
