I've been using Gary's for service on my truck and car for 14 years now. I've been treated with fair and speedy service every time. I've never had a "return" issue. My SUV has had just benign things over the years, but my truck has had some major surgery (fuel tank, transmission, and now a new engine). Give 'em a try.

Asked my uncle to have my Kia checked out before a cross-country road trip. There was an obvious steering issue (slipping, clunking) that wasn’t caught during the initial diagnostic check. Instead, paid for front and rear pads which seemed a bit overpriced but sure whatever. When I got back to Seattle, I test drove the car and noticed the steering issue right away. Took it back to Gary’s and told them what was wrong. They charged another $149 for a diagnostic check to confirm what we told them (seemed unnecessary but hey, I’m military, why not take advantage). Then said it would be just under $500 to replace a $4 part and added that my A/C system “wasn’t working properly” but they couldn’t pinpoint why. Ended up taking the car to the Kia dealership where they fixed the steering issue and AC for $400 total. Never seen a local garage cost more than a dealership. Big scam. The guy we spoke with was also extremely condescending. Would absolutely avoid this place. Attaching picture of the first diagnostic check where they claimed my steering was OK.

Ive never met a nice mechanic! Till now. Im a senior and we all know how funds go, i didnt k ow what to ask for but with Ty's findings after diagnosis on machine he found the issue. Not once did he raise his voice as some bullys do trying to scare you into getting job done at their shop Now! Not at Gary's and im so gratefull! My partner and I are on a three week tour playing music and our radiator hose blew off! We have a tight schedule and Gary’s said they would do their best to get us looked at and taken care of. They were very thorough in explaining our options, giving us estimates for all of the options. They took their time to discuss it with us and made us feel heard with our concerns. They finished the job with urgency and we were able to get on our way. They were beyond accommodating and did not have to be. Can’t recommend them enough! Great shop! Thanks guys!!

Terrific folks are in charge at Gary's Auto (founder just retired) - after decades of great service to Olympians and surrounding area. Gary's Auto provides fair pricing and good service in an auto world that continues to try and gobble up the little guy - making parts harder to come by - and affordability extremely difficult. Many older Toyotas, Hondas, Nissans, etc. come through regularly here for service - decades after their warranties expire. I’ve been bringing our cars here for years. Great service. Ty is super friendly and takes time to go over repairs with you. They have always been great with scheduling and making it a priority to get your vehicle repaired in a timely manner. All the technicians that call to discuss issues are informative and patient while discussing issues. Hate when the car breaks down but Gary’s always gets us back in the road quickly.
