Beware and steer clear of this place! That is unless you have unlimited $$$ to throw away! They told an RV buddy that all brakes were cracked and brake pads bad which they would happily repair for $12,000+.! The RV has low miles and the brakes are actually in great condition! Also requested a few other minor changes/repairs which they quoted $28,000 to do. When he opted to not have them do the work (which wasn't needed)they charged $2,000 for checking it out. I despise lying/thieving companies like this that end up giving honest mechanics a bad name. I haven't listed all of the dishonest things they did but I will be posting this information on all of the RV forums I belong to.

$800 diagnostic that revealed only one thing.... That a $1200 diagnostic will be required, and guess what the only thing it reveals... yet another diagnostic! Obvious scam. Would be a pity if a thousand people agreed with me wouldn't it? You only have 288 reviews. If a couple thousand people agree with me, I think it will protect people in the future from getting scammed.

Price gouging, $3000 buck for a broken ground. 15 min fix but probably 1 hour to find, $900 bucks to find a fuse blown. The teck told me it was normal to have to start the coach motor to start the generator. So for 3 years it was wrong. Dont go there. You can get work done at camping world for less.

STAY AWAY. I was completely scammed. I have a cute little Brenderup Horse Trailer that needed a new floor. I called, got an appointment right away, and was assured that they are familiar with these european trailers. I did TONS of research before deciding to take it into a shop and was familiar via the brenderup forums on what it would take (cost, materials, methods) to do the work. I'm very handy. but It's a little more than I can handle on my own. not until I drove 90 minutes to drop it off did they tell me it would cost $1400 to JUST assess the trailer. I was shocked, there was no mention of this when I scheduled, but there I was, trapped, and desperate to get it fixed so I agreed to pay this. Dumb on my part. I should have just hooked it back up and drove home. They came back to me 2 weeks later with a $16,000 write up to do the work. I was ABSOLUTELY FLOORED. so here I am, scammed out $1400, and stuck with an inflated repair bill worth the cost of a brand new horse trailer. I've found another RV service willing to help me for a less than a quarter of the price. but it doesn't change the fact that they managed to get $1400 out of me. STEER ABSOLUTELY CLEAR of these guys.

Probably just fine for regular maintenance or warranty work paid by insurance. Avoid for any non-standard work. We went for some basic trailer maintenance and help troubleshooting a couple issues. I’m certain the basic maintenance items were done in a standard way. No concerns other than they charge way more than expected. They were up front with the price so that’s on us. But we had two other things that were not working properly and wanted their help fixing. I had diagnosed the symptoms well and new how to reproduce the issues. I had ideas of what was the cause but wanted their expertise to confirm and recommend a good solution (I often DIY solutions, but wanted it done professionally for our nice trailer). I gave them the details of my investigations and how to reproduce. When I came to pick up the trailer, they told me they could not find the issues I reported and were going to charge me around $300 to investigate the two issues. I demonstrated the issue to the mechanic immediately. I asked them to take off the charges and they went to get the owner. The owner is very confrontational and make the experience quite uncomfortable. I was asked to explain what the mechanic missed, in front of the mechanic, and was grilled with questions about it. The owner kept justifying by explaining the things they did to test for issues and was adamant that since they spent the time, they were owed the money. I felt so bad for the employee – I’m sure the details I gave about the issues when we brought the trailer in were not properly documented or passed along to the mechanic. Again, probably fine place for warranty work or any other standard jobs. Not a good fit for anyone looking for custom work or a personal touch.

Seriously though, y’all are GREAT! I am so glad I decided to use Genesis. Our Ambo conversion has a lot of issues that I’m learning to work on, but solar is way out of my league. Aiden has been so patient with me having to cancel and reschedule for various reasons, they found and fixed my issue so quickly, explained everything thoroughly so I understood what happened, and even spent a good amount of time answering some follow up questions I had after I got the old beast home. Thank you so much Aiden and Genesis!!

During the recent bomb cyclone our power went out (for 3 days). Our backup is the RV generator. Went out to crank it up...no response! First time in 15 years it didn't turn over. Anyway, Genesis got it up and running in about a week. Very pleased with their service and professionalism. Bob and Rena Seattle

Not a good experience, Miss diagnose first round then asked for all bad parts NOTHING given back. Thousands of dollars later fixed but took a month. They returned the RV with mud on the tires. 500$ added on to tell me all the breaks and disked need replace on a 50K miles RV.

Only place I could find who’d work on a Ford-based Pleasureway, and the work they’ve done is fantastic.

I took my low mileage Class C to Genesis for evaluation of a very sloppy ride and what suspension upgrades would help. The drive test was white knuckly but effective. The owner of the company was the test driver. He, a technician, and me talked about different options and I was given a list of possible suspension upgrades, some highly recommended and a couple helpful but not crucial. After a lot of research, both about the parts and Genesis as a company, I decided to jump in hard and pretty much went with all of the suggestions; front and rear Koni shocks, front and rear sway bars, Sumo springs on the front, Safety Plus steering stabilizer, track bar, and alignment. The sticker shock was profound, this was not a cheap fix. Again, my research showed that the pricing was in the expected range for a quality, highly rated shop. They ordered parts and began work immediately and worked hard to accommodate my need for speed due to an upcoming long planned trip. They did not seem annoyed when I emailed, called, and texted for updates and clarification. Yes, I spent more then I had intended but drove away assured that the work done was done correctly and feel confident that if any problems arise, they will address them readily. I truly enjoyed my drive home from the shop. The ride was smooth and tight. I didn't feel like I had to ride the brakes to lessen the bounce and sway. Good job. So far, I am pleased and impressed with Genesis and the ownership and staff that I interacted with throughout the process.

Firstly for those of you reading this they do regular vehicles and not just recreational. It is very difficult to find a team that will treat you as a priority. The discipline and professional courtesy that genisis displays is of the highest quality. The only thing I can say is disappointing is having to bring my rv back to have a minor issue fixed. Despite this hiccup their teams was more than willing to take me back in at my earliest convenience. They are a team that strives to put your priorities first. Overall a fun and pleasant experience. The next time I am in need of service I will come back.

BK was a tremendous help, as well as the help I got over the phone from the technician who actually worked on it after I got home.

The gang at Genesis did a great job of fixing the problem with my motorhome. They listened to my explanation and allowed me to show them a video of what was happening. They asked all the right questions. Once they found the problem and after finding the part they allowed me to take it home and schedule a return once it came in. Once that occurred it took them 2 hours to fix it. Though, they are slightly expensive, it was well worth the expense to have it fixed correctly. They will be doing all maintenance and repairs in the future.

We purchased our first RV new in 2016, a class C Jayco Melbourne 24L, built on the diesel Sprinter 3500 chassis. It was a significant investment (which we have really enjoyed), and after a few disappointing customer service experiences from the dealer, after it came out from under warranty we decided to give our service business to Genesis. The team there has consistently done a great and pro-active job keeping our RV in top condition. But it's a recent "above and beyond" experience that proved to me the value of having Genesis on our side. We were on a coast-to-coast tour and as we neared our destination in Pennsylvania, through a moment of tired confusion at a BP station (which uses green handles for diesel when everyone else in the nation uses them for diesel) I accidentally put 4 gallons of regular fuel in my diesel tank. I had no idea what to do and didn't want to risk starting the engine. It was late on a weekend and the phone at Genesis went to an after-hours message. The owner, Brian, formerly attended our church, so I called a mutual friend who shared Brian's personal cellphone. Desperate, I called it, half expecting another answering machine message. But Brian himself answered, and immediately set out to give me guidance on exactly what I needed to do. He also asked me to call him back to let him know how it worked out. After following his instructions, we were relieved to make it safely to our destination in Pennsylvania. I'll be forever grateful for Brian's calm and reassuring instructions, as well as the expert attention of all he employs at Genesis.

They did what they said they would when they said....but I feel they are not all that skilled. They told me it took them .7 hours to take the jack foot off my trailer, it is literally a pin held in with a cotter pin. The guy who called me told me they had to use a hot wrench to get the jack foot off! The first photo was what they used a hot wrench on. It was $217 for the jack foot and installation. The other thing they did was put a new awning on, and my beef there is they could/would not use the old tube and motor that was good. It needed fabric and new side arms, but that was too much trouble. Perhaps it was discontinued, it was 5 years old. Update: We stopped in to have a chat with the owner and detail our issues in person. He seemed to recall things that never happened, like using heat to remove the jack foot, which I was able to prove false by photos I took of the jack foot, which had no visible heat damage. We discussed things like the estimate taking two months, the fact that his estimates when quoted lacked information like hundreds of dollars in parts. In the end his "resolution" was to offer me a refund for an estimate never preformed ($75 plus tax) and $150 off the labor if we decide to have him replace our bumper with a heavy duty model to support our bikes. The quote never included a new bumper, I was specifically told it was mostly labor, accept for about $80 for parts. (bumper reinforcement was quoted at $800+) When he told us that it was for a new bumper, we felt like he made that up on the spot to save face. Honestly, I felt like he was evasive and made a lot of excuses about labor. He said new people had filled rolls in the company and did not have the training yet to deal with them, or were overwhelmed. Okay, I get it, but it still doesn't take three quarters of an hour to remove that jack foot. I was told by the owner that the reason they did not use the old awning tube and motor was because they could not test it. He said he had no idea if something was bent or making noise. I told him that I tested it, but that was not good enough for him. In the end I asked for the parts back, and the "bad" awning was up in his loft...funny place to put a "bad" part. My gut tells me that it would have been sold to the next guy who needed his awning repaired. Folks, it's just poor communication, and price gouging. Sure, they will do the work...if you can get an estimate before your tires rot. I just can't change my review, I am really not satisfied. I think two stars is a little high, perhaps one star would be more appropriate. I just felt the owner was dishonest about the situation.

First of all I have been in a class A motor home for over 3 years now and have traveled from Tennessee and all states in the West. I have NEVER found an RV Repair Service as good at Genesis Automotive. I had some issues on my Winnebago Journey that needed to be corrected and the repairs were done quickly, they allowed me to stay on premise while the parts came and the invoice amount for those repairs was extremely fair. I HIGHLY recommend Genesis. They will do a fantastic job for you, and their tech reps are very well trained. Brian and Lisa I will be back on my way South. Thanks again for treating me so well. We made it to Whidbey by 7PM average MPH was 28...LOL UPDATE 09/03/2019 Well the team at Genesis did it again, what a great bunch of folks to work with. They installed a brand new convection oven and new door lock on my coach. It is amazing! Thanks Genesis for all your hard work! This time the trip to Whidbey was a quick 1 1/2 hours YAY!

In an unfortunate incident on the Alcan Highway, I brought Genesis a severely injured coach. The project required meticulous supervision, and Candace, a newcomer to her position, demonstrated exceptional courtesy, patience, and professionalism. Brian, who became involved in certain details, was helpful, patient, and provided us with the available options. From Alaska 👍🙏

A pleasure to work with. Truma heater in my camper van stopped working. They tracked down the problem and fixed it in a timely way. They provided up front estimates of diagnosis by parts and labor and did not exceed their estimates. They were flexible in letting me use the van while parts were being ordered. I thought the cost was on the high side, but worth it for a difficult and successful repair. They are a family business and very friendly, upfront and accommodating. I will be using them again.

Professional Prices for Amateur Damage I am writing this to warn other RV owners to be extremely vigilant. I paid Genesis Automotive and RV Repair thousands of dollars for "professional" service and received sloppy work that actually damaged my motorhome. While they are transparent about their high prices, their quality of work is amateur and their "order of operations" is designed to maximize their bottom line. 1. Poor Materials & Functional Damage Instead of using industry-standard Butyl tape or proper RV sealants, they used silicone. As my photos show, they smeared it so carelessly that they sealed the hinges of my water inlet door, preventing it from opening fully. Silicone is a nightmare to remove from RV siding and prevents future sealants from bonding. This wasn't just a "messy" job; it’s a long-term maintenance and aesthetic disaster. 2. Stripped Hardware & Negligence The City Water Leak: They charged $200 to "locate" a leak at the city water fill (a $2 washer) and then wanted an additional $400 to fix it. Stripped Screws: When I declined the $400 repair, I found they had stripped the screws on the panel so badly that I can no longer remove it to fix the $2 washer myself. Winterization: I delivered a dry, winterized unit (blown out with air), yet they left the lines full of water despite claiming they re-drained them. I had to re-winterize the entire rig myself to prevent freeze damage. 3. Inefficient Diagnostics & Incomplete Work The Seal Tech Sequence: They charged $2,000 for a "full" seal based on a visual check, then ran a $650 Seal Tech test afterward to find "more" leaks to charge for. A professional shop runs the diagnostic first to ensure the job is done right. Incomplete Slide Work: Despite the $2,000 charge for a "full exterior seal," they only did a portion of the slides. As my video evidence shows, large sections were left untouched. 4. Property Damage & Lack of Care The pressure test broke three of my overhead vent covers. The shop's lack of care was staggering—they left the broken plastic debris sitting on my roof for me to find when I got home. They never mentioned the breakage. Furthermore, the photos I’ve uploaded don’t even do it justice—the sealant overflow is smeared so extensively across the side of my motorhome that I couldn't possibly document it all. They even got beige sealant smeared onto my black awning. 5. The Air Filter Markup Lastly, they quoted $113 for an engine air filter. To "inspect" the filter during the engine work, they already had it out of the vehicle. Charging full labor to replace a part they are already holding in their hands is unacceptable. I replaced it myself in 5 minutes for a fraction of their quote. The Bottom Line: I paid a premium to save time, but I have spent hours fixing their mistakes. They didn't just do a poor job; they created new problems I now have to pay another shop to fix. In fact, I am now having to pay a different shop to overlook the engine work they did on my belts and hoses; after seeing the poor quality of everything else they touched, I simply do not trust that the engine work was done correctly. If you value your rig’s finish and functionality, go elsewhere.
