I don't recommend this place to anyone. Gave my car back with the hood lifted and bounces. The air conditioner doesn't work. Told me they had to replace the part. It's been 3 weeks and still haven't heard from them. Stick with car star, great service and they actually care.

My experience with Gerber has been frustrating from start to finish. The estimator has told me several lies at various points (e.g. illogical and fallacious reasoning behind delays, assurances of completion dates that were far sooner than reality, etc.). When I was told that my vehicle would be ready to pick up by the end of the day and they'd call to confirm (which they never did), I arrived at ten minutes to close ready to pick up the vehicle. They claimed it just needed a wash, and as I glanced out the window I watched them hastily put the final pieces of the vehicle together(so it clearly wasn't ready and wouldn't have been released if I hadn't shown up). The vehicle still needed additional work which I had to push to get an IOU for. And apparently "Gerber is not responsible for any valuables" is code for "we're going to loot your vehicle of anything valuable". (Money and a gift card in the center console went conveniently missing despite there not being any work done on the interior of the vehicle.) I have been back to get the additional work done and they've screwed up again by ordering what are clearly parts for another vehicle. This whole process has taken 30+ days to complete and the work should have been incredibly simple. I have reported these and other minor issues to my insurance company, am looking to have someone else do the work, and will be happy if I never set foot on Gerber's lot again.

My jeep was rear-ended and needed to be repaired. I was hesitant on which place to take it to. But I am very satisfied with their work and professionalism. From the estimate to the repair, everything was fairly quick. My appointment was 1/22/24 @ 10am and they had my jeep done on 1/23/24 @ 4:30pm (they had to order an additional part which was there the next day). Josh, Nathalia, and the whole team kept constant communication with us and made it a very pleasant experience. Highly recommend them and would use them again. Thank you Gerber Collision for getting us in quickly and taking care of my Jeep!

Great general manager. But if your going to take your vehicle here be ready to take the the bull by the horns and fight for what you know is right. Because my son truck was there for almost 3 months and I had to do most of the calling to find out what was going on his employees are irresponsible broke things that weren't broken and I had told them from the start what I thought it was and they sent it home with me and the problem still there had to bring it back. Long story short. Don't stand down if you are a woman stand 40 feet above these men because they will treat you like you know nothing and I'm no dummy and I made sure I was fighting to the end. Good luck . I thank the district manager for listening and recognizing these were valid complaints.

Tried to make an appointment to have some deer damage to my wife's truck estimated. They're 1 week out for estimates. I'm not sure if that's a sign of their success, or their failure to maintain adequate staff. Either way, Liberty Mutual requires customers to get an initial estimate from a shop within their repair network and Gerber was who the claims adjuster sent her to. If they don't have 20 minutes for a preliminary estimate, why would we trust that they can do a 20 hour repair in a timely fashion?

Absolutely worst customer service. 9 day of begging for a estimate. When finally submitted to my insurance co. Gerber added 100k miles to my actual milage. Had to fight the insurance co to get it corrected. Because of gerber my insurance co wanted to pay out just 5k for my totaled car that books for 12k. 20 phone calls later it was corrected. If I could leave no stars I would. Her gerber, you owe me 1 star.

I had hail damage to a hard tonneau cover, but none on the rest of the truck. They couldn't understand the cover being damaged because the metal is thinner than the truck itself. After I explained it to them, they said they would submit the paperwork to the insurance company. Afterwards when I received a call from my insurance company wanting more information on what happened, which was after they were informed that I only wanted an estimate, I found out that they informed the insurance company that they didn't believe it was caused by hail. I feel as though this was intentional after they found out that I didn't want them to do the work, and if it wasn't then they need people doing estimates that have more experience, not people that appear that they are right out of high school with very little experience. From the moment I walked in the door my experience with Gerber Collision and Glass in Johnson City was less than desirable. I don't recommend this company.

These guys are awesome! On two different occasions they saved my butt. First time I need a rear taillight. I thought I’d need to take a day off from work and get a rental all through my insurance company. After looking it over they figured out that for less than my deductible, I could have a first party Toyota replacement instead of a third party that would take longer to get here through my insurance. When it came time to install it, they gave me different options for time slots, even offering to give me a ride to work (since it’s close) so that I didn’t have to take off. I didn’t need that option but that peace of mind was great! Second time someone hit my car and ran. Ended up going back to them. I thought I’d need 3 different rear panels and a rental for 5 days through my insurance again. They looked it over, explained that the paint chip wouldn’t be an issue and was able to help buff it all out. Saved me a ton of money. These guys are professional, honest, and I will definitely be going back if I ever need any work done (but hopefully no one hits me again)

Update@ They made it right and apologized Do not ever I mean ever take your car here! WORST service I've ever seen in my entire life! My car got backed into they gave me a date to get it fixed then called me and pushed the date to later, I bring my car in they say two weeks, then call me tell me they need to send my car to a different place, sure no problem, now its been 3 weeks my car is still not fixed and im STILL coming out of pocket to pay for a rental i've called every single day this week to be told millions of different things I come to pick the car up today as they said the car will be here and again it is NOT! Also asked for higher up numbers and never got it!!!! I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS COMPANY!

Brought my car to them after I slid off the road and hit a sign. They delayed the repairs numerous times, one delay they suggested to pick up my car, but it would have to be returned as they were still waiting on a part. When I finally got my car back, they completely overlooked a bent rim. This should easily have been noticed when driving the car a few feet as it vibrated terribly. They had to send it to Wilcox to have the bent rim diagnosed. Had to wait on two more delays to get my car. Picked it up again and the turn signals weren't working. Had to again return the car where they said a connector was bent in the turn signal causing a short. Fixed the connector and all appears to be well now. What should've been a two week repair lasted five weeks. If you can choose where to send your car for collision repairs, avoid this place at all costs!

It's been 5 weeks since my car was towed to Gerber after an accident and they have been horrible with updates and communication. I have ended up calling twice a week for updates. Towards the end of the first week I found out they sent it to a dealer ship for the mechanical parts although they were the ones ordering everything. My car got back to them Tuesday evening and even though they had made it sound like they had numbers before I was told on Wednesday when I called that their estimator needed to look at things and than they would have them call me back which never happen. Today I call and get told they don't have an update for me and that they will have the estimator call me once they are back from their lunch brake,2 hours later that still isn't the case. I've only actually received a call back once and it's been almost a month since the estimator called once to give me and update mean while I've reach my limit on how much my insurance covers on the rental. I just want to know when I'm going to get my car back. Their work better be worth all this ridiculousness. Update: 1/9/26 After I posted my original review the general manager reached out to me and the updates were better for about 2 weeks before I was back to having to reach out again. After 9 weeks I finally got her back and looks & feels like brain new again.

UPDATE: The shop contacted me about rectifying the situation….. The general manager called and apologized and said he felt they could do better. He offered a couple of dates for a drop off and even covered a rental vehicle for inconvenience. All employees I spoke with were very helpful and polite. All of the issues I originally called out have been resolved and I’m very happy with the outcome. Thank you to the team at Gerber for ensuring my Suburban was repaired to my satisfaction and for covering the cost for use of a rental vehicle while mine was in the shop. I appreciate you and the work/time it took to get my Suburban looking great again! —— Dropped off 3/25/24 and picked up 4/2/24. Absolute worst shop I’ve ever been to. The workmanship is horrible and the general manager is very rude and completely obstinate. They should be quite embarrassed to have said the work was complete. They did no prepping of the bumper prior to painting. The paint color of the bumper doesn’t match body at all. The wheel well cover doesn’t fit properly and with the gaping hole they left contaminates can get up into the body and cause premature body rot/rust. There is misalignment of the air detector and where attached to bumper. They refused to fix anything. They stated insurance didn’t pay for modifications, prepping isn’t considered modification. They didn’t sand or de-burr the bumper. The even painted over pieces loose plastic I call my insurance and had an appraiser look at the unsatisfactory work. I also said I didn’t want to return to Gerber for the corrections. The appraiser agreed the work was inferior and paint is quite obvious to the mismatch between body and bumper. State Farm is now allowing us to go elsewhere for the corrections, Gerber doesn’t deserve auto be paid again to correct what should have been done right the first time.
