After the first meeting, clearly meant to lure customers in, this was the WORST experience. They indicated the repair would take between 0 and infinity days, and cost between zero and infinity dollars. But they worked with our insurance company, so we let them. When we got the car back, after they switched out the hatch, there was a crack on the plastic. We were told "we switched out that piece from the old hatch, so we aren't responsible for the crack." This after they charged my insurance company nearly 4K for a new hatch. Avoid this place at all costs. I would give them 0 stars if it were an option.

Gerber is fantastic! I was rear-ended and took my car to Geber because it is the shop my insurance company uses. They completed my car four days ahead of schedule and kept me updated regularly. They and my insurance company worked out all the payments, so I did not have to worry about that at all. All the repairs look as good as new. I did get my car back with the low-tire pressure light on (it wasn't on when I dropped it off), but I was planning on taking my car to my dealership two days later, so I didn't go back in to tell them about the problem at the time because I had to go to work. I did call them to let them know about the problem as soon as I got to work. I had to take my car to the dealership because I get diagnostic emails each month, and my email that month said my airbags might need to be checked (but the airbag light was not on). My dealership did find something wrong with my airbags because of the collision and I expected to have pay for the airbag repairs and to send over documentation to my insurance company to be reimbursed. My dealership also found something stuck in the tire and told me it needed to be replaced and couldn't be repaired due to the area of the tire the damage was in. I called Gerber and spoke with the manager, Will, and explained that I got my car back with the low tire pressure light on and that the tire needed to be replaced. Will called my dealership and paid for my tire AND my airbag repairs, which was unexpected. Although it was not ideal to get my car back with low tire pressure, Will was understanding and I was very surprised at the level of customer service I received (I expected Gerber to do nothing, because I hadn't gone back into the shop when I picked my car up to show them the low tire pressure). Overall, I am very happy with Gerber’s level of customer service, they went above and beyond what I expected, and I would recommend them to anyone!

Mitch at Gerber Collision went out of his way to help me today. I was in need of an estimate ASAP since I planned to turn my car in within a few days. Gerber is doing estimates by appointment. They have a two week wait as do other shops in the area. But Mitch, who was on his lunch hour, wrote up an estimate for me. He made me comfortable, offering refreshments while I waited. I would definitely recommend their service.

NEVER BRING YOUR CAR HERE! ZERO STAR ZERO STAR ZERO STAR! Worst experience ever. READING THIS FOR TWO MINUTES will save you from a horrendous experience. Took our vehicle in after a crash versus a deer. The vehicle was inspected only for cosmetics. No pictures of the engine or mechanical inspections were conducted upon the first inspection. The vehicle overheated weeks later and we noticed there had been a slow coolant leak that caused the vehicle to now be empty in coolant. The shop was notified that our vehicle overheated and had a coolant leak. Collision shop stated that they did not check for those issues during the first inspection. Collision shop advised that when we take it in for repairs, they’ll take the vehicle apart and look for additional issues. Took the vehicle in and the collision shop stated they found 3 issues that they did not find during the original inspection. They stated they will take care of two of the three, but not the third one which of course was the most expensive. They proceeded to make the cosmetic repairs and charged us the deductible and then and ONLY THEN was a mechanical scan conducted where they said the mechanics were faulty and had to be taken elsewhere for additional repairs. This shop took our money and then decided to do what was asked in checking for mechanical issues in order to tell us to take it elsewhere for further. THE BIGGEST SCAM EVER, DONT EVER BRING YOUR CAR HERE!! This is the absolute worst experience ever and we were completely taken advantage of. Overall, the collision shop failed to take pictures of the possible mechanical issues, FAILED to conduct a mechanical scan upon the first inspection, and proceeded to ADMIT they missed two issues and didn’t take credit for the third. Worst experience ever. The frustration is indescribable. I have been VERY vocal about this horrible experience with dozens of people already in order to avoid anyone else being scammed and taken advantage of. I will continue to voice my experience in an attempt that no one ever visits this place again.

My repair was excellently handled from the first phone call. The staff was incredibly professional and thorough throughout the entire repair process, and worked to get my vehicle back to me quickly. They also handled everything with my insurance company and rental car, making it super easy for me to have the repair work with my schedule. Brian in particular made sure I understood everything with the estimate and repair work, and was super friendly during the whole process. The reception staff was excellent and always on top of things as well. I would definitely recommend Gerber to friends and family. Thank you!

Terrible experience from beginning. We showed up for the first drop off appointment. They were not ready for it through their own poor planning. Did not call ahead to say they were delayed. Had to wait about two weeks for another appointment. Once the car was finally there for a week or two, they called me on a Thursday and said the car would possibly be ready on Friday but most likely Monday or maybe Tuesday. Said they would call Monday with an update if it wasn't ready on Friday. They did not call. I called Tuesday. They were appalled that I would call them for an update and said they will call when it's ready. It wasn't ready till Friday at 440pm. When I got the car back, my car was driving 15 or so degrees to the left. It came to light that they had never even done the alignment. Go literally anywhere else

I recommend Gerber Collison on Washtenaw in Ann Arbor to everyone!! The Staff is phenomenal and Tammy had the patience of a saint with me! I rescheduled 172 times and she never made me feel bad or something type of way!! I know it's hard to trust auto shops sometimes but I was at peace the entire time with them!! If I goto an establishment and I could see myself working there then I know I chose the right place!! The body work was done correctly and beautifully!! I'm very satisfied with work done!! I brought my car here because it was a preferred location for my insurance. They were quick to get my car checked over and gave me a date and time to bring it in for repair. From there they even scheduled my rental car with Enterprise. I brought it back at the scheduled time and was out the door quickly again with a two week flexible time frame that would become more concrete as they started to pull the car apart and order replacement parts. I got my car back a week earlier than scheduled. They settled the rental car drop off AND my car looks fantastic. Everyone at the location was nice and polite. From the lady at the front desk, to the guy who handed me back my keys. Given the circumstances, it was a very pleasant experience. I hope I don’t need them again though!

I went there with an insurance claim for some damage done to a door by a vandal. They could have repainted the entire side of my vehicle and charged the insurance company plenty. Instead they were able to polish out most of the damage at minimal cost. A+ for honesty and fairness. And here I have gone back to them another time. The hatch door on my vehicle had gone out of alignment and would not close. The dealer refused to work on it and recommended a different body shop. I had had a bad experience with them before so called Gerber. They were pleasant and worked me in pretty quickly. I brought the car in to be assessed and they took 10 minutes to straighten it out on the spot. If I ever need body work or glass repair I am going straight to them.

Disappointing experience with their "lifetime warranty" which this location's manager is quick to dismiss as rock chip damage...even though the paint continues to peel away, leaving large sections exposed. This occurred just days after the work was done. Initially it happened in my rear fender area (which they corrected and has been fine ever since). After washing my car, I noticed that I was rubbing sections off the front bumper and it was pocked with chips everywhere (even though I had few if any rock chips in the prior 5 years). I brought it in this shop for review and was told this was not their problem and nothing they can do for me. I contacted my insurance to schedule a visit and he quickly advised that the surface was not properly prepared (likely mold release remaining on the surface). I then had to bring my vehicle into a different Gerber location this morning (what a world of a difference in customer service / attitude). They also realized that it was a prep issue and are ordering a new bumper. Thank you! It sure could have been a lot easier and saved everyone from wasted time and grief by just admitting when you are wrong and doing the right thing. Honor your warranty and back up your work when something is not right.

These guys promise the world, but never deliver. I had a repair, which they finished later than they promised. Even then, they were missing one small part that they promised would come the next week. It has taken me 4 times to call them to follow-up. Each time they promise me they are ordering the piece, but it never comes through. Worse than that, they seem to forget and I have to constantly follow-up with them. We are now a few months out and still no response from them. I'm telling my insurer as well, as I was referred to them by the insurance company. These guys can do better.

Great people and great service but the turnaround time is a bit too long. Most insurance rental car coverage lasts for 30 days and the car was in there way longer than that. My car went in on December 1st and I just picked it up on January 16th. Luckily the management there gave me a week of rental car coverage which is something they didn't have to do since they understood my situation. Tammie is great and so is Amanda. They also did a great job on my car. I'd say the biggest issue is after I picked up my car I found evidence of a mice problem. I had a new pack of gum I mistakenly left in there and it seems like at some point mice got in my car and pooped in my compartments and ate my gum. Not a great feeling knowing there were mice in my vehicle. They did clean it out well though so I doubt I have any left lingering around inside but still jarring nonetheless.

This was the first time i had to do any repairs to my car, i was so anxious dealing with the insurance and insurance claims and felt overwhelmed. Gerber made this whole process a breeze, they directly handled the insurance company, even offered to set up the rental car reservation with enterprise, it only took a week to fix my front bumper and they updated me throughout the whole process. Everything looks great, they did a high quality job! They did such a great job, but i hope i never have to return again! 😉

Lack of communication. Missing parts when vehicle returned. Van was filthy and not washed only the side they replaced so the rest was dusty from the shop. The inside was dusty and shoe prints left inside my vehicle. I hope all state never uses this ship ever again. They also broke my gas bracket to my tank. They did repair these issues but the communication in the 4 weeks was very very lack there of. I called more than I was called

Sam was so kind and empathetic when I learned my car was totalled. I was in tears, feeling all the guilt and shame about getting into an accident and totalling my car who had been nothing but wonderful for 12 years. She listened to me for longer than she needed to and gave me good information on a respectful and kind scrap yard. Also I initially called the wrong location and another very nice woman (I want to say Tammy or Tara) kindly directed me to the correct location. It was such a devastating time in my life and I got the kind of customer service I will remember my whole life. Thank you Sam :)
