I have used Gerber a few times and haven't had any issues with the quality of work...other than the fact that they reinstalled the inside hand hold to close the back door upside-down but it wasn't troublesome enough to suffer the inconvenience of tacking it back to be redone. Customer service has always been great and very communicative each time we've used them. Here's where things get bad. We just had our truck in last month to repair damage sustained when I was rear-ended. When I got a call from them to confirm I would be dropping the vehicle off the following Monday, the gentleman I spoke with mentioned that we needed to remove all personal items from the vehicle. I told my husband this since all of the junk in the truck is his. He got out most of the stuff, but left some junk in the center armrest compartment and door pockets, a child's car seat, 2 umbrellas and a blanket which was neatly tucked in across the entire back bench seat as a seat cover. The blanket was missing from the truck when he picked it up and, of course, no one knew anything about it. the center armrest storage compartment had clearly been riffled through as well. I understand that there are people who would claim they left something of value in the car and then claim it was missing so Gerber probably tells people to remove all personal belongings as there blanket protection (excuse the pun) against false claims like that....but for goodness sake, if your employees can't keep their hands off other people's belongings, you have a serious problem with the type of employees you hire! Why don't you do more to ensure that your employees can't get away with this type of behavior? The damage to the truck was on the rear bumper and quarter panel so there was absolutely no reason anyone should have ever been in the back seat. Access to the inside of the vehicle was only required to move it since no part of the repair involved the interior of the vehicle.

I don’t really know where to start. My truck had major hail damage. It was a LONG process to say the least to get it repaired. Mike and the staff there was amazing. They kept me updated every step of the way. Mike made sure I was taken care of from day one. Even when my insurance company neglected my request for updates, Mike was there for me. I had heard great things about this Company before taking my truck there. I now have a personal experience of just how great they are. Even if you have wait before they can do your repairs.. Trust me when I say ITS WORTH THE WAIT.. I can’t brag about them enough. If you guys see this review. Thank you again for all your hard work.

They cannot installed the headlights correctly. My headlight melted after 3 weeks replaced brand new one because it’s not installed correct, and they also gave me ton of reasons that’s not there false.

I will never come back to this place call me, and I will not recommend this place to anyone. Talk about price gouging! I do not appreciate how they handled my car. I got it restored elsewhere for far less then even the estimate they gave me. They also tempered with it in ways they didn't need to. I say no thank you 2 Gerber Auto and Glass. I also advise everyone to stay away from them. Strongly advise!

I came here after I got into a minor accident in my car. A piece of metal flew into my car on the high way and messed up the bumper, headlight and the fender. Came in, the staff were super friendly, understanding and also straightforward. They made the entire process 100% clear, as well as answered any questions. I gave them my car and they fixed it in three days. When I picked it up, it was like the accident never happened. The paint was matched perfectly. I had to come back a couple of months later because a bracket was damaged. They replaced it quickly at no cost because they honor their life time warranty. They always treated me right and I recommend coming to this place or using this company!

For an unpleasant thing to happen such as wreck, there are so many worries and concerns. Is my car gonna be like it was? I am extremely excited that my vehicle came back in better shape than before! Worst experience with a body shop EVER! Was in a hit and run accident the weekend of 4th of July. July 5th to be exact. Gerber was chosen as the body shop to repair the damages. It took them 3 weeks to "repair" My car. They had a painter that they claimed kept calling out for medical issues. I'm sorry he's not feeling well but uh don't you have someone else that cam paint! My literally sat the last week untouched. When I finally get it back the front passenger side light is quite noticeably misaligned. There are finger prints stuck on to chrome surfaces and chips paint spots that were NOT there before dropping the car off. Poor quality of work from a collision shop!

Unfortunately, they were short-staffed and couldn’t assist me on-site. But a very kind gentleman—an older man in the corner office on the right—went above and beyond. He guided me through their website and showed me how to request a quote online. I was referred to Glass America (it seems they work together), and wow—what a great experience! I’m honestly still shocked by how quick, affordable, and smooth everything was. The technician, D’Andre J., was absolutely fantastic—professional, fast, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. After my vehicle was hit, State Farm recommended I take my car to Gerber Collision & Glass off Capital Blvd in Raleigh since they’re supposed to be good with Lexus vehicles. The only damage to my car was on the front and driver’s side. While it was in their care, I received a call asking if I had ever had issues with my rearview camera—I told them no, because everything worked perfectly before I dropped it off. When I picked up my car, my rearview and all-around cameras were no longer functioning properly. Instead of taking responsibility, Gerber claimed the issue wasn’t “accident related.” This is unacceptable because my cameras were working fine before my car went into their possession. The staff who were friendly at first quickly changed once this issue came up, and I was left with no accountability, no solution, and now a $1,900 repair bill for something that happened on their watch. It’s extremely disheartening to deal with a company that will not stand behind their work or their actions. Please beware before taking your car to this location—if they break it, they won’t fix it.

I called on December 19th to make an appointment for an estimate. They told me they couldn't get me in until the 29th. I did not get my usual email reminders or anything or text reminders of my appointment but I had it on my calendar so I showed up on time. I showed up for my appointment on the 29th and as I was standing at the desk providing my check-in information to Liz, some man rudely walked in and interrupted me and she entertained his conversation while I was still standing there checking in, mid-sentence. Instead of telling him I will be right with you. Liz allowed him to approach the counter, interrupt me and proceed to get himself And his business handled VERY POOR customer service to me. Ryan look at my car, took some photos and told me he would type it up and email it over to me in 45 minutes on Dec 29, 2025 I saw no other people in the waiting room when I was leaving so maybe something else kept his attention as I had to call back 2 hours later after my 1:00 appointment as I still had not had my estimate emailed to me. I for provided my email address reconfirmed it just to make sure they had it right and nothing. I called close to 5pm And they said they would have my estimate done the next day as they were very busy. If they were very busy indeed, a courtesy call to say hey. I didn't get your estimate to you in 45 minutes but I will get to it on tomorrow. I calles.back on the 30th. LIZ said they were very busy and behind but they would get to it. I called back 2 hours later on the 30th of December 2025 and Liz said that the owner was out sick but they would get to it. Mind you I called on December 19th. I had a 1:00 appointment on the 29th and here it was going into the 31st as I started calling on the 31st. Liz promised me they would have it by the end of the day. Not only did I not get my estimate, I didn't even get the decency of a courtesy call to let me know that they couldn't get to it. I'm writing this review on February 2, 2026 and I have yet to receive the courtesy of a decent phone call or my estimate. Do yourself a favor. Go to another body shop where you will get excellent customer service, attention to detail customer courtesy, customers follow-up and the promises kept because you surely won't get it at Gerber collection on Capital Boulevard!!! Things have really changed since Renee moved to the Cary location. Renee at the Cary/ Gerber Collision won't treat you like this. STAY AWAY...FAR AWAY from Gerber on Capital.
