WOW - these guys do it right...! Knowledgeable, friendly, HONEST and fair. DO NOT HESITATE to take your car here - you will get a fair and honest service at a respectable price. My truck stalled on the way to get my annual inspection after it had sat for a few months and the owner Javier and mechanic Oscar pretty much dropped everything they were doing to go pick up a new battery - take me to my stalled truck - install it and take it back to their shop for further review. They offered to just charge me the price of the battery (WOW!) but I insisted they add a charge for their labor and extra effort. After the new battery it was not starting at first but they found a cracked hose and ordered & installed it on the spot! After that Javier drove with me to make sure everything was good and then recommended a catalytic converter flush as the diagnostic was showing something wrong. They could have easily just went the path of recommending a new catalytic converter (expensive) but went the extra steps to make sure it could be due to old gas and just sitting for an extended period. They were CORRECT and after the flush and driving for a few miles the truck felt strong again and passed inspection. I have found my new shop and they deserve it - THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT folks - fair, honest and reasonably priced. THANKS Javier, Oscar and Global Auto Service - you now have a customer for life in me...!!!!

The best prices I found and professional mechanics!! I went to multiple shops that misdiagnosed a thumping noise coming from my passenger side wheel well. Not only did they diagnose and fix the source of the issue in hours, but they also met with me after hours so I could work in the morning. On top of that they charge a fraction of the cost of all my past services. I highly recommend!!

To take my car inspection, I choose global autos service.. and I really appreciate how the owner/ manager approached me and treated me as an old friend, and he made me feel welcome to the shop. A bonus point was the guy who did the service. Super professional and fast. It took me no more than 10 minutes... Super!!! Highly recommend!! Price: affordable. $ 20.00 dollars for the inspection. Location: South First Street. Parking: I don't need it. But plenty if we do. Customer service: EXCELLENT!!

I popped by this shop last week for a minor fix, needed to reattach my heat shield that came off. Super fast service, it wasn’t busy so they were able to get me in there immediately and put it back on within 30-45 min, only cost me $30. No upselling, no bullshit, just great service. Had a lovely chat with Javier, great guy, really cares about people. Will definitely come again!

I took my car to Global auto service for an inspection, and before I even got out of the vehicle, the man standing by inspection line started listing was supposedly wrong with it. This was concerning, especially since they hadn't even checked under the hood yet. I decided not to stay and complete the inspection, as it didn’t feel professional or trustworthy. I would not recommend this place for vehicle inspections. Went to a different place and as expected my car passed the inspection.

Oil NOT CHANGED but charged $75. My daughter was fully ripped off! I discovered the black oil just weeks after their "service" and then changed it myself. I did not confront them, I don't live in Austin.

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the service I received at Global Auto Service. I called Javier beforehand and was quoted $125 for brake pad replacement and a wheel rotation. However, upon picking up my SUV, I was charged $250! Javier claimed the $125 was only for one axle, a detail he completely failed to mention during our initial conversation. When I expressed my dissatisfaction and asked for a discount due to his lack of communication, he became incredibly unprofessional. He ripped up the original receipt in front of me and initially told me not to pay anything, creating an uncomfortable and confrontational situation. Ultimately, I felt pressured to pay the full $250. To add insult to injury, he lied about performing the tire rotation, which was clearly not done. Do NOT trust this workshop. Javier is dishonest and will give you a misleading quote, only to charge you significantly more later. I strongly recommend avoiding Global Auto Service and finding a more reputable and transparent mechanic. This was a terrible experience, and I would give zero stars if possible.

Installed bad fuel pump. When I brought it back the communication was extremely poor, calling multiple times without response. When they finished 3 days later I was still charged $125 for labor. I know other shops wouldn’t have done so and I recommend going to them.
