This place has restored my faith in taking my car in to get an oil change!! They were so nice, the service was quick and they went above and beyond. Great prices as well, the internet was down so I paid in cash. I was $5 short and the employee took $10 off of my service, it actually made my day! Not including them taking extra time to remove some plastic that had gotten wrapped around under my hood. AND they filled my tires up with air. Beyond pleased with their customer service. I will definitely be coming back

I came in and it turns out the previous shop I went to for an oil changed had rounded the drain plug. Groovy extracted plug and replaced it. They could’ve charged me a lot to do that but they only billed me for the cost of the plug (like $4) on top of the oil change.

This man, Bert, showed me that my vehicle was only showing it needed an oil change because of the date set and I had 5000 more miles to go before I needed one. Nothing like honest mechanics. The team and manager, John here went above and beyond after a little mistake. I was incredibly impressed with how far they went to make everything right. I felt so confident in the care of my car! Everything from squeezing me in last minute to giving. me suggestions and replacing a part - the staff was kind and the manager had incredible integrity. I have been going to them on and off (a few moves in between) since college. I already thought they were great but after this experience, they will have me as a customer forever. :)

It’s such a pleasant experience. Staff are very friendly and it seems they know what they are doing and genuinely want to do a good job. It took them less than half an hour to get the state inspection done. It’s a first come first serve basis; I went around 9 and there was no one there so it was fast. I would come back!

The team and the manager, John, were so kind and welcoming! I came in for a state inspection about 45 mins - an hour before they closed and while 3 other places turned me away, they happily took my car in and did the inspection. From the free key chain to the attitudes to the business cards with coupons on the back + apparent discounts for students, Groovy Lube has definitely earned themselves a returning customer for sure. They may be hidden away a bit but they’re absolutely worth visiting!!

Best oil change experience I’ve ever had in Austin. And I’ve lived here for 5 years so I’ve had quite a few oil changes between servicing my car and my lady’s car. Yet this was the best. The two managers were some solid down to earth yet professionally minded people. They changed my oil, fillled tires, tip off fluids, and like 3 other things. This will be my new go to place for sure

I’ve been going to Groovy Lube for the last two years I believe. I have not once had an unpleasant experience. I will say the staff seems to change often, but nonetheless good experiences each time I have gone. Today I was charged $30 for “full service” which entails a front windshield wash, air in tires (which I did not need today) and checking fluids. But they only top off windshield wiper fluid. Nothing else. I was not told I would be charged for these things I was only expecting to be charged for what I asked for, an oil change. Just some feedback for the company. Tell your customers ahead of time you are charging for additional services and allow us to accept or decline. I do not recall having paid for these services at any other visits I’ve had. All 4 of my tires pressures were at 40 when I got there and when I left they were at 38x2 and 37x2. So they took air out? Cause definetly no air was put in. Any how it didn’t sit right with me that I was charged for such things that are normally free other places. Had I known ahead of time I would have respectfully declined those services for $30. I already pay $100 for my oil change.

This was my first oil change since moving to Austin and I will definitely be back. Very first time I’ve had a woman/female passing/ non-binary team working on my car! They were all so nice, offered education, and made recommendations as to not rip me off. I watched as one worker saved a bug, and another worker offer patient guidance to another learning. Easily, the most wholesome and trusting car service I’ve ever received. Highly recommend!

I love this place. Since I moved to Austin six years ago this is the only place I come. I love the level of service, speed of service, that you can stay in your car OR wait in the awesome lounge area. I love that fluid top offs come with every oil change and that you can bring your car back in between changes for top offs. But what I love the most is that they employ just as many females as males and that the women aren’t just “behind the counter.” They’re changing oil, checking pressure, etc etc. Wouldn’t get an oil change anywhere else! PS if you come at 8 a.m. there’s always almost no wait whatsoever.

OMG! Who would have known the best customer service in Austin would be found in a car inspection joint? Groovy Lube really does provide groovy service. The space is cool, clean, and they have a restaurant/bar next door? What?! John and the rest of the staff on site were super friendly and had good vibes all around. Don’t go to Jiffy lube that’s close by, go to Groovy Lube for a better time! Whatever they’re doing, they are doing it right.

The owner in his response tried to call me out by identifying my truck. The only thing I had wrong was a 10 dollar price difference. My windshield was smeared with bugs after the oil change. As shown in the picture. Full service huh. I watched the girl climbing in my engine and the airquote hard working guy told me they were having trouble getting the oil filter off. Only thing I did was wait for hours which clearly the creepy owner watched on video. And the lie is that I was presented a price. That is a bald faced lie. Didn’t happen until the end. Which is no surprise because that’s what places like this do. This place is a rip off. I managed to get charged 292 dollars for a simple oil change. Never have I ever even heard of such a thing. With only three cars in front of mine I still had to wait two hours! They hardly cleaned the windshield. It was a half hearted attempt at best. It’s not like you get a superior service. Just a ridiculous markup. Literally 150 dollars over my normal Mobil One oil change. And I watched one of the guys try to sell an engine flush to a brand new jeep. What a joke.
