NEVER would I recommend Sam and Harper auto. I had a car crash in January and gave him $1000 cash to get job done and got strung along paying out of pocket for rentals for 3 months. He did nothing he said he would do and sent my car to a shop called collision collision and lied to them about parts he was sending that he was suppose to buy with my money. I called collision collision every day before and after I called Sam and kept catching him in lies that ended in “buddy I got you no problem”. Every time I called he was working on something or waiting on something to fix something all lies. He estimated the cost at 3500 by time 3 months went by shipping my car to another shop and lies I had to pay an additional 4k on top of the 1k I put up. I ended up asking the car and getting back my 1k from Sam in a check after a face to face argument. Never never never go to Sam at Harper auto. My experience was horrible good luck.

I needed several things fixed on my car. Brakes, side view mirror replaced and tail light cage replaced. Sam the owner told me to drop it off when he opened at 830am and I was told it would be ready by the time I got off work at 5pm. When I arrived to pick up my car , he showed me all my old parts that were replaced. The car was ready on time. Sam was pleasant to speak with and walked me through the things he replaced and showed me my new brakes. Most places arent that thorough. His prices were reasonable and the work was great.

Sam (the owner) is an awesome mechanic. He is by far one of the best shops I have been to. Not only does he actually drive your vehicle around to test it, but he will tell you that he needs to put it up on the hoist before he gives you an answer on what it might actually be. I have been going to Sam for about 7 years and I have had everything repaired from the most expensive jobs like a transmission to a engine. To the least expensive jobs like brakes. He charges you a reasonable price and he lets you know APPROXIMATELY how long it will take and if it takes longer he will communicate that to you. I will continue to drive all the way to Clinton township to utilize his services because I trust him and his word. I have also recommended many people to him as well. Also not only is he a great mechanic but he offers 1 year warranty for almost EVERYTHING!!!! And yes that warranty has been honored on 2 different occasions. I Thank you Sam for being one of the greatest mechanics I know HANDS DOWN!!!

I just want to start off by saying THANK YOU SAM! He truly did an amazing job on my car. He is very honest and fair. The customer service was a positive experience. It is EXTREMELY hard to find a trustworthy and kind mechanic that knows how to actually fix cars so I am glad I discovered Harper Auto Center because now I know where I can take my car to get any work done that is needed in the future. Sam is the best! I have been going to him when he was working at the oil change next to his shop now. (Still may be his valoline oil change). I've been going to Sam for about, 3 years now. He is an amazing mechanic. My boyfriend and I take our cars here whenever they need anything, (besides an oil change) I messed up and bought pretty close to a lemon, she needs work all the time but she's paid off . He works with me, he helps us out if we really need it and he's super patient. The reviews below are blown so outta proportion. I have never seen a person there leave un happy. He pumps out cars as fast as he and his workers can. Does a great job and I'm thankful we found him. Everyone should come here.
