I can always depend on the service representatives at Volvo. Matt Goda was excellent at communicating with me regarding my 40,000 mile check up, my concerns with my driver floor mat that kept sliding up into the gas and brake pedals and windshield wipers that needed replacing. Text messaging was extremely helpful in making decisions when I could not speak on the phone. Brake and alignment issues were addressed and recommended and they were accommodating in working with me when I could not pickup my car due to business travel. It's a relief knowing that the team at Volvo remembers me and my vehicle.

The appointment was on time, the work was thorough and the video walked me through the work being done on the car. I am pleased with the work and the service. The only negative feature was that when I was driving on Hwy 526 after I left I noted "low tire pressure" on the dashboard. I had to drive to Geralds Tire and Brakes the following morning to get air in my tires. I assume that after hey rotated my tires they didn't check the air pressure

The only reason this place has so many stars is because they have you give them a review before you leave the place with your new vehicle. We thought we had a good sales experience. However, less than 6 months later and we have already spent over 2K in repairs, and they want another 2.4K. Conveniently, after leaving the dealership yesterday telling them we couldn’t pay 2.4K to fix our car LESS THAN 6 MONTHS after purchasing, we have EVEN MORE problems with the car. We now have multiple cylinder misfires. I don’t even want to know how much they would charge us for that. The extended warranty we purchased is useless. We really feel like we were taken advantage of and now we’re paying for it big time.

Went here because it was the closest volvo mechanic to me. I had a power steering leak and needed a new rack and pinion, I couldn't drive too far. They quoted me over 6,000 for the job. Insane. When I asked for a breakdown on pricing it was incredibly vague and didn't line up at all. I then called another mechanic and asked him to look at it and he got the job done for 1,300. Always ask for a breakdown and know what the average price for your OEM parts are, or just go anywhere else.

My 2007 Volvo needed service. I was going to be out of country for a few months so I let the service slide. On return, I went to book on line with Hendrick Volvo Cars of Charleston. Unfortunately, the next available slot was 3 weeks out. I took it. On arrival, I checked in, explained the needed service and proceeded to their lounge area. The service was prompt and efficient. There was one unexpected repair which was handled promptly. I was in and out in less than 3 hours

Didn't have a great experience with them as a first time Volvo owner. They performed a diagnostics test to determine a headlight issue and they didn't realize they had "forgot to quote" the main component replacement until it was in service and they were already working on resolving it. They also diagnosed a leak on the roof of the car as coming from the rubber seal even after I said I thought it was coming from a gap in the windshield. They resolved both of those issues but upon taking the car home my blinker wouldn't work and days later water leaked again into the car. Had to take it back to get it fixed. Took it back again the second time and upon driving my car away I had a battery warning light. Turns out, they forget to completely hook up the battery terminal after fixing my headlight. Overall, just not a great or professional experience.

Extraordinary, compassion and service at the dealership. We are on our way back from a graduation ceremony in Baltimore and the car starting to have some odd smoke coming from the hood when we were in Virginia. Trying to make it to Charleston we called the dealership who, after ascertaining what the problem was, was able to reassure us that we would make it and they would see it right away. They indeed did and found a very simple problem that they completely corrected on the spot, ( A piece of rubber trim under the hood that had gotten loose and was being heated by the engine, causing the smoke). They were calm and reassuring as we were trying to make it all the way to Naples, Florida in the next two days and this was on a memorial day weekend. We were extremely impressed and very grateful.

I’m updating my review after owning my vehicle for 3 months. During the purchase process of my car, it was great; however, after a month of ownership, an issue unexpected arose. I notified the dealership of the issue as soon as it happened. It was battle to get them to even listen and Addison, my sale person, acted completely out of line and was disrespectful. He was not like this at all when I was buying the car, but afterwards, it was like I wasn’t a paid customer. The dealership partially took ownership of the issue but, ultimately went back on their word. I no longer trust anyone there and I suggest everyone to watch you back and make sure your car doesn’t have issues after ownership. I’m extremely disappointed with the service I received after I purchased my car. I expected better from such a big, established dealership.
