I have taken my vehicles to Twin and Tran for over 30 years. My Late wife first recommended them back in the early 90's. Even when they screwed up the transmission on my chevy truck I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Well things have been hinky for the past 3 years but this morning when I walked in and was greeted with,"what do YOU want?" I was thrown. I forgot some details because I was given scratch paper to write my info on. After a full day (7:30 until 4pm) they only did an oil change and added a quart of transmission fluid. All the noises and concerns I came in for ignored. Finally, as I left, I didnt get my $40 change and Twin and her son had great big laugh about that. I'm insulted and I'm hurt because my trust was abused by these people.

Be aware of this place and save money, get a diagnostic elsewhere. Took my Chrysler 300 2005 2.7 for an overheating issue. My car had 168,000 miles. I took it in for a checking/ diagnostic, they called me and said everything looked normal. They did tell me they charged me $525 to replace the valve cover gasket and front seal cover as the engine was burning oil. I paid and got the job done. The car was still overheating, took it back. They changed the coolant and was still overheating, took it again and told me to come back Monday. After paying them, it was clear that they didn’t want me coming back. The owner didn’t even listen to me and was almost excusing me out the shop. I took my car to another shop and got charged $125 for a diagnostic but figured oht the issue. It turns out I have a blown head gasket. The other shop charges me $3000 to fix it, so I might as well switch engine, meaning I lose the $525 I paid to replace the valve cover gasket all because they didn’t diagnose the initial problem accurately. If I knew I had a blown head gasket, I would have absolutely not lost the $525.

Very knowledgeable mechanic. I took my Mazdaspeed3 for a diagnostic because a lot white smoke was coming from the exhaust, and he took his time to really dig into the problem and fixed it right away. And my car feels like new again. It was an expensive fix but it's because the parts were expensive, but happy with he results. I wanted to take it to someone who truly knows what they are doing because some mechanics leave things worse than how they were in the first place. My car because of the issue was low on oil, and he gave me a complimentary oil change. Will definitely recommend him. Thanks Henry

First of all I went for a code read that I already had but he wanted me to bring it in to do another one second told me I need a new engine when all that needed to be fixed was my sensor and a valve , all cylinders were great except for the number three it was reading low and at 70 percent he went I. To tell me he don’t do those and he would just replace the whole engine ? By the way I paid 400 just for him to tell me nothing please get a second review matter fact don’t take your car there if u drive a dodge charger I was very very u happy and disappointed he may be good for older cars and something easy but I do not recommend him

If I could leave more than 5 Stars I would. I recently moved to the area and the auto shop is at the end of my street. With it being so close to home I thought I’d give it a go. Too convenient. So I just took it in on a whim. I was tempted to go to the dealer as usual but I’m so glad I didn’t. What a brilliant experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming and very prompt, despite being extremely busy. I got new break-pads, an oil change, tire rotation and front sensor replaced all in around 3hrs. And I couldn’t believe the price. Very reasonable, to say the least! The dealer price was almost twice as much! It’s safe to say I’ve found my new Auto Shop. I won’t go anywhere else from now on. Great service, they know what they’re doing. You can trust them.

They're okay with basic jobs. But don't bring your car here for electrical work. My father and I were screwed out of over a thousand dollars, and the car was never fixed. How do you keep taking money when you know you never fixed the problem?

Save your money and go elsewhere. Came in for a check engine light, they insisted on changing my front axel that didn’t need to be fixed. Apparently they did a “smoke test” & changed the cap for the engine oil. AGAIN all this unnecessary && they did NOT fix the check engine light. They advised they didn’t know what the problem was and if they can keep the car for a few days to run more test….. horrendous experience with unnecessary repairs. Long story short I went to a mechanic shop in Barrio Logan that was recommended from a friend. Within 2 hours the new shop diagnosed the problem and fixed the check engine light. If I can rate this place 0 stars I would! HIGHLY Do NOT Recommend this place. Save your money and go to Guzman’s Auto Repair on South 29th St.

I cannot recommend Brian and his team highly enough! Finding an honest and reliable mechanic can be challenging, especially as a woman, where the fear of being taken advantage of is always present.
