If there was a zero I would give them that. We had the Rear hub assembly baring done there. Had an O’Reily part which has the same manufacturer parts as Napa (whom they use). We had to bring our truck back because they did not hook up the ABS system. Moved and drove to Amarillo Texas (1500 miles) and now it has the same problem. John (manager) guarantees service and leaves no room for human error. Argued with both of us not being held accountable for the work being done.

Take your car to Hill Automotive & Driveline Service Spokane, WA. The previous owner of my 1972 Ford Maverick used a wrong fitting that leaked automatic transmission fluid for the first half of a 4000 mile trip. I brought it in and they said they "could fix it". A '72 trany part. They did. No leak. Enough said. Well done Gentlemen ! ! !

It took me three years to find a good mechanic shop with good prices. I believe in Hills Auto so much that I even recommended them to a friend who now also takes his car to them. Good job Hills Auto.

This place deserves negative 5 stars. I took my truck in on a Wednesday after scheduling it two days prior to have them see what could be done about axle wrap, came by Wednesday after work, they hadn't even looked at it. Came by at 5 to pick it up, doors were already locked up with my truck inside. No phone calls, nothin. Next day I let them sit on it, no calls. Call them, they couldn't seem to remember the vehicle or what I brought it in for, said they were trying to find some vibration. I told them twice before that I didn't have a vibration. Said they were going to try to balance the tires but haven't got to it. I told them not to touch it, came and picked it up. I give it a year before they have to fold up shop. They obviously don't know how to turn wrenches. Sad. Don't waist your time or money. Have heard from multiple people these people will scam anybody. Forewarning.

-5 stars!! A terrible mechanic shop. My Dad just recently had work done by them on his truck and after only driving 20 miles his engine blew up. Talked to the head mechanic and he was all for taking care of him. Told him that they would pay for his engine. Then the head mechanic's mommy (owner) got involved and she won't take responsibility for what her shop did. She has terrible customer service and her shop just cost my dad tons of money. So please don't take your vehicle here unless you want to risk something happening to your vehicle. They won't pay for their mistakes and they will try to make it your fault. I would hate to see someone else get treated the same way they treated my dad.

After three previous mechanics failed to diagnose and properly fix my driveshaft, Hills got it right the first time. Quick, friendly, professional. Wish I had started with them. Hills charged under $200 while the previous mechanics charged an average of about $400 each.

Worst mechanic shop I have ever went to I took my 03 Kia Optima there to see why it wouldn't start I told them it might be the crankshaft sensor but I wasn't sure and wanted to see if they could find out they told me that it would be $160 with the labor and that they had time to do that for me they called me 2 Days Later told me that they fix the crankshaft sensors but it still wouldn't start and they weren't sure what was wrong with it then for the next three and a half weeks it said outside I'd call and they would tell me it wasn't it's turned they would try to get to it the next day needless to say my car is sat there for almost a month I ended up having to go and get it and tow it to another mechanic to see if they could fix it needless to say it was fixed within a day Hill's charged me twice as much as they said they were going to and were rude when I called them to talk to them about it I will never suggest anybody take their vehicle there you'll get overpriced Hill quote you one price and charged me double if not triple the amount that they told me they were going to charge me. I give them a -10

Referred here by a friend and can say owner is nice and easy to talk to. He didn't try to sell me on a bunch of repairs i didn't need or want. He mentioned a couple things to consider but also said they are not urgent just something that will need to be done at some point. Car is 42 years old so was kind of surprised it was not in worse shape. Will definitely come back for other repairs.

Had one of my old vehicles looked at by them. Got a quote for over $3000. Seemed a little steep, so I had another reputable shop look at it for the exact same problems. $1600. Hills was trying to charge for things that didn't even deal with the repairs I needed done. Parts they wanted to "fix", weren't even bad or needed replacing. I know the shop I'll never take my rigs to.

I have gone to John for years now. He has figured out some wiring issues that others could not. I have taken numerous vehicles to John and have always been satisfied with his work. If there is a discrepancy he makes it right.

I brought in a driveline with a CV that needed repair and finished in a certain time frame. Hills finished the job on time. In fact they stayed late on a Friday to ensure my customer would have their vehicle back in time for the weekend. I wish I would have asked for the techs name so I could have personally thanked him. As a fellow shop owner I can say they have top notch customer service and deliver when they say they will. The price was a little more than expected but most things are these days and the customer service makes up for it.

It's not even a contest. Hills Automotive is the best place in the Inland northwest for any sort of vehicle issues to be fixed. Fast, friendly, super experienced, and of course they've been around forever because of these reasons. Trustworthy is the word I'd use to describe them.

My husband and I have used Hills a bunch of times for multiple different vehicles. I've even given them business by referring friends and family. Their mechanics are honest and will tell you exactly what's wrong and will give you the best advice for you as a customer. For example, one time I took my 89 Ford Probe there and asked about the oil leak. They told me NOT to fix it because it would create other problems. They were right because a few years later I ended up attempting to fix it and it destroyed my car. So, these guys are definitely trustworthy and won't tell you to fix your car just for the money. However, the reason I'm only giving them a two star rating is because they unfortunately lost my business. The mom that owns the place should not be in customer relations. Every time we call or visit and deal with her, I feel like I have to convince her of one thing or another as if she assumes I'm lying. She doesn't smile, laugh, or enjoy any minute of her job and you can see it all over her face. Hills, if she ever leaves please feel free to give me a call and you'll get my business back. You have my number in your files. Thanks.

John at Hills Automotive did a terrific job replacing the drive shaft in my 14-year-old, all-wheel drive car. He was able to locate the parts needed and schedule the work within a week. I dropped off the car in the morning, John completed the work, and I was able to drive it way by mid-afternoon. His bill was over $400 less than the dealership's quoted price. John was recommended to me by a career professional in the auto parts business. Now I can agree and pass along the recommendation.

Honest and reliable, and after all the years(30+) we have been going to Hills we have always been happy with the service and the attention given to us. John is honest and reliable.....prices are high everywhere, but remember you get what you pay for! John's prices are fair. We highly recommend him.

It’s funny how a business can change their website and then all of the negative reviews go away. So since my review of Hill’s Automotive went away when they changed their website, I decided to re-post it on google. In 2019, I got my 1999 Ford Explorer Sport stuck in the snow. After it was pulled out, the engine seemed to be running really rough and sounded terrible. Check engine light was NOT on. I took it to Hill’s Automotive to get checked out. I had been a customer of Hill’s Automotive for several years and had always been happy with their work and the cost. But I was worried this time because I had lost my job and was having a hard time finding a new one. So didn’t have much money. The owners of Hill’s knew this about me because they were clients where I used to work. Anyway, after examining my car I got a phone call from John Hill, one of the owners, to come to the shop to talk. When I got there, he said that my 1999 Ford Explorer Sport needed a whole new engine and that it would be very costly. (I don’t remember how much he told me). He then said that because it was a fairly rare SUV, (I don’t think he meant to say that part), he would buy it from me for $400. And would then just part it out. I trusted him and his mom (who co-owns the business), so I believed what he told me and sold it to him. Several months later, I happened to drive past their shop and their was my Ford Explorer for sale for $2500. I wonder if there was anything at all, really wrong with it. Also, I own a 1999 Camaro Z28. In the last year that I was taking my car to them, it seemed like more things went wrong with it after every time I took it in to be serviced by them. The last time I took it to them, John told me that it needed a lot of work. But his mom told me to “not ever sell it”. Which I thought was weird at the time. About 4 months later an unknown man shows up at my house, saying that he was just driving by and saw my Camaro (which was parked at the side of my house, far back from the road) and he wanted to know if I wanted to sell it. He told me he had just graduated from high school and had always wanted a Camaro. I let him look at it and we exchanged phone numbers. I was suspicious because he looked older than 18 and you can’t really see my car from the road. So I searched his phone number and found that he was somebody who bought cars, fixed them up and sold them on eBay. And that he was much older than 18. I have no proof, but I suspect that someone from Hill’s Automotive told him about my car. Don’t go to Hill’s Automotive. Don’t trust them.

Brought my Ford Ranger in there three times for the same thing never fixed it charge me all three times still doing the same thing. I’ve only put 100 miles on it and the last five months just sitting there broken. Decided I’m gonna take it somewhere else and take the loss. Worst experience ever.

I have recently retired due to an unfortunate medical condition and it has left me totally dependent on others to address any automotive repairs I have. It is an uncomfortable position to say the least, with that being said I have an older Dodge pickup that I depend on for transportation to very important DR . Visits and treatments . I took my vehicle to John and placed my trust in his services. I could not be any happier, the first visit for repair John took the problem on without hesitation and performed the repair perfectly. Which is why I will definitely return with any and all auto repairs Price was very fair, he kept me informed along the way so there was no “surprises” which is awesome! I would definitely recommend Hills Automotive for all vehicle repair. Thank you Hills automotive and Thank you John!
