I brought my Honda Odyssey into Hillside Tire to have my winter tires swapped to summer tires. When the summer tires were removed last fall, they were marked on the outer side wall with a tire crayon the location of the vehicle they came from. I specifically asked Hillside to mount the tires with the crayon marking on the inside of the wheel and also make sure to rotate their location from where they came from when putting them back on the vehicle. They did not follow my instructions. They mounted them with the crayon markings back on the outside and in the same location on the car they came from. They also did not properly torque my lug nuts. I checked them myself with a torque wrench when I returned home and had to tighten them all to 95 ftlbs. I found they also performed a static balance only using weights on the inside of the wheel. Rather than a dynamic balance using tape weights that ere on the wheels previously. The weights also don't fit the wheel lip property and are loose. I've lost one weight already. I don't feel like Hillside took my requests seriously. I don't think they take the quality of their work or the safety of their customers seriously. I was just another guy they could take $130 from. I have gotten and can get better service for less money at other tire shops nearby. Won't be going back to Hillside.

This is my second review of Hillside tire in West Valley City. These people are like no other shop I've been to. They stand behind their work and will do what ever they can to satisfy their customers. On Juneteenth 2025, I had to return my vehicle because of an over heating issue that was worked on earlier in the month. They worked on it to discover my radiator cap wasn't doing its job. Because this was an issue they thought they had solved previously, they only charged me for the new radiator cap, no labor. Plus, when I was contacted to say the work was completed, the service writer gave me a complete explanation what they had done. When I was in my vehicle getting ready to depart, the mechanic who had worked on my vehicle walked over and again discussed all that was done. Folks, I call that awesome customer service. Are these people super human and perfect? No. But, they treat me with respect and I am honored to say I highly recommend Hillside Tire.

I went in for tail lights and came home with a broken axle on my wheel hmm I don't think that's a good shop if they are doing that kind work to get some more money out of you.

This is hands down the best tire and service shop in Utah. I honestly drive 60 miles just to use Matt and his crew at Hillside. Matt always takes the extra time to explain all my options and the advantages of each decision. The techs here are really stand up professionals. They treat my vehicles with expert care. I know everything is done correctly and in a timely manner. I may be a crazy old coot, but when I find a straight shooter like Matt. I am a loyal customer for life. I have been using Hillside tire for new tires, maintenance, and repairs for almost 20 yrs.

Long story short, I had a small issue with my truck tire and just pulled in unscheduled, without hesitation the staff took the tire and rim into their shop and fixed the issue in no time. They told me there was no charge and to have a good day. This kind of thing doesn't happen very often, good on you guys for being the few that treat people with kindness. I pulled up just before closing. An employee was pulling a truck into the garage for the night. Immediately the gentleman asked if he could help. I said my tire feels low. I was asked to pull up so he could check tire pressure. Turns out I had a nail in the rear tire. This guy (Jack) said, let me get that out of there and fix your tire and you'll be on your way. Literally 3 minutes later he was finished. I watched him make the repair with the tire on the car. THIS is the kind of service that puts a business above another. I wouldn't go anywhere else for tire/brake needs.

Hillside is honest and trustworthy. I’d recommend them to anyone! Honda quoted us $2,100 for an oil leak repair. We called Hillside to get an over-the-phone quote with the diagnostic info from Honda - $1,400 for parts and labor. We dropped our keys off on Sunday and Hillside called us Monday morning to let us know there was oil residue on the part we were told needed repairs, but after cleaning it off, they confirmed a repair was not needed. They didn’t charge us anything, despite taking the time and man-power to investigate. Hillside has earned our trust and loyalty for the rest of our driving lives.

What an absolute wonderful experience with Jack, Joe and Matt. I knew I needed new tires and planned to order from Costco but ran over a nail and had a slow flat so I had to find a repair close to work until I could make it to Costco. I attempted to get discount tire and Big O in WVC to repair my flat real quick but bad customer service at both so I ran into Hillside and these guys fixed my flat right away, I mentioned I planned to buy tires from Costco and showed Jack the tire and price and he said he could get the same tire and price was the same so I had them order. Within a week the tires arrived and today got them installed very quickly. Thank you Hillside, you are a great example how companies can win new customers with good old fashion kindness and great customer service! Much appreciated!

Car repairs are painful but matt made it the best experience it could be. I was alone with my kid. Kids got no patience . Waiting with a kid is hard. I live close and Matt offered us a ride home. He updated me the status of my car throughout the repair. This shop is upfront and honest with good people. I felt the shop really cared for my unfortunate circumstances. I called other places with quotes higher. The repair was big. My car was surprisingly completed the next day. The job was done well. I will most definitely be taking my car here the next time.

I believe I got a fair deal on my tires, but this shop broke one of my wheel covers during installation. Halfway home, the cover flew off into the street, and a kind stranger picked it up and gave it back to me at a stop light. The piece that broke off was necessary to keep the cover attached to the wheel, so now my car looks ghetto with only 3 wheel covers.

Hillside Tire is honestly the best place around. I grew up going to the Holladay location, and now I go to the West Valley one. The team is always super honest, fast, and knowledgeable. They really know what they’re talking about and make the whole process easy. Highly recommend!!
