Had a very good experience here with minor repairs and oil change. Dropped the car off, got the call and picked it up. Couldn't be happier.

Best auto shop in town. Been going here a couple years now, always straightforward, great communication, friendly and laid back. Definitely recommend.

I literally live one block south of this place and happened to notice this afternoon that I had a low tire pressure light on my dash! Called to make sure they could do it for me, drove a block, and they refilled my tires! Free of charge! Thank you, Hobbs!

Been going here for fifteen years, always prompt service with detailed explanation of what's going on with the car and how and why to fix it. David routinely balances repairs or new parts with the age and longevity of the car. A great experience all around.

Not the best customer service. It can be hard to get a hold of them over the phone, and once you're in the office you get the feeling they just want you to leave. The prices are a bit higher than other places. The work is good though.

Hobb's is by far the most trustworthy shop I have found in town. I've compared prices numerous times before deciding on Hobb's as well, and have not found a better price elsewhere. At this point, even if I did find a better price, I would entrust my 1999 Nissan Maxima with 286,000 miles to nobody else. These guys are great!

They are convenient because of their location, but you will certainly pay for it, and their bedside manner leaves something to be desired. Replaced power steering pump, and after that work the accessory belt was squealing. Paid them to replace the belt at cost, still didn't fix the issue. Took it to another shop after the problem got worse--turns out they put the power steering pulley on out of alignment. -_-

I live around the corner from this place, so my first time there was due to convenience. I was having an issue with the engine losing power. They addressed the issue on my initial visit, but when I drove the next day, my car was doing the same thing. It was slightly less severe, but still doing the same thing. I called the shop again and they told me to bring it back. They fit me into the schedule 30 minutes after calling, and had the issue totally resolved 2 hours later. They did not charge me at all for the second visit. Seem to be pretty good guys.

It's Queen Anne's own local trustworthy auto shop. It's our go to and always affordable and fast repairs. I don't really like to share my favorites, much like my city where we like it when others see it only when it rains cause that keeps the space ours.

I should have followed my instincts. Called for an oil change quote and was told $59 for "standard" but could be more based on type of oil my vehicle needed. Well, that was the first flag but still moved forward with the appointment because of convenient location. Got a call that my car was ready but was told they had to install an oil filter cap because they broke the one on my car indicating it was screwed on too tight; that charge was $61.82. My vehicle holds 5.20 quarts but on the receipt, they've listed 6.70 quarts (4 are included in the oil change; addl charge for 2.70 quarts). I did not ask for washer fluid but the receipt has a $5.90 charge for it. Total charge was $173.15.

I love these guys! They have done stellar work on my vehicle and are super affordable. I don't know anything about cars so I always worry that a place could tell me all kinds of issues that don't really need to be fixed and I wouldn't know the difference. Hobb's is totally trustworthy. They have also checked on things on the spot for me if I have a minor issue I am worried about. Love them!

I brought my Subaru in for a 30k service, including a battery change and new tires. Dave and Loren were both very kind and friendly and they finished my car the same day I dropped it off. I have absolutely no complaints, as someone with anxiety I really appreciated having such a good experience!

I work down the street from Hobb's, and one morning noticed I had a flat tire. I called and they were able to get to it the same day. They removed a nail from my tire, patched it, checked the air pressure in the rest of my tires and noted a few other things I'll need to get serviced on my car, all for under $30. They seem like nice guys... the people who have posted reviews about poor customer service must be super needy, because these guys were great! They are also recommended by AAA.

I have had highly questionable service both times I have taken my car to Hobbs. I will not be taking my car back. The first time I took my car here, it was because I had failed an emissions test. There was a broken camshaft censor, which was replaced by Hobbs. They not only charged me for the part and the labor, but an additional $135 because my vehicle failed the emissions test. This was a completely unnecessary charge for a service that they did not perform. When I brought this to their attention, they refused to waive the fee. My first bill was $428. The second time I went to Hobbs, it was for an oil change. This is a simple procedure on my car, and should've cost about $50. When I dropped off my car, an employee mentioned that the engine air filter would be replaced if necessary. I told him that it was just replaced, so it shouldn't be a problem. When I picked my car up from Hobbs, I found out that they had changed the engine air filter. I showed them the invoice from a shop that recorded it being changed 2200 miles ago. The Hobbs employee insisted that the filter was dirty and that I had been driving in dust and dirt (which was not true). On top of this charge, they replaced 2 lights that had gone out. I did not ask for this to be done, and I was not told that this was being done. My second bill was $123. In both of these instances, not only was I charged for services that I did not ask for, but I received customer service that was well below average.

So grateful for the Hobbs team! We've been taking our vehicles here for years. They have quality work, very reasonable rates and turnaround times, and most importantly they are honest and practical (e.g. if they think the cost of a repair is out of scale with the value of your car, they'll let you know ... before doing the work). So convenient here in QA, but I have friends who bring their cars from other parts of the city because of the consistent, reliable service. Highly recommend.

Dave and Laura are great, and they helped me out when my car wasn't starting. I'm grateful that they got my car running again, with replaced parts.

Hobb’s is exactly what you want in a mechanic: honest, knowledgeable, straightforward, no BS. They tell you what your car needs and also what you can do without (no upselling), just as if they were protecting their own car / wallet. They stick to their original quote, and they have your car done according to the time they said it would be done. 100x better than the service department of any dealership I’ve ever brought my car to.

I dropped by to ask about air for my tires and they generously dropped everything to quickly help me out. It was not what I expected, but I am so grateful for their customer service and kindness. For those curious, after 3p they can service your tire pressure :)
