The clutch on my '97 Tacoma started acting up in Feb. and when I asked around re: honest mechanics, I had two people refer me to Jack & Sons. I called them and was able to take my truck in and have it repaired by the end of the business day. They even had one of their employees drive me home. My clutch began sticking again a couple of days ago, and since I knew it was the same issue, I called them and they told me to drop it by. Again, same day repair service, and there was no charge this time since I'd just been in in February (five months ago). If you're looking for an honest mechanic, this is the place to go. I wouldn't take my vehicle anywhere else as long as I live in Las Vegas.

Good old Eddie, Jack's brother and successor... Last Friday when I called him; it was just under $500 to replace the water pump. I had to take it to Sun Auto earlier because it was overheating and, after negotiations, they quoted over $700 for the water pump. So, I called Eddie, hoping he had changed his ways Today, Monday took it in and reminded him of his phone quote. , Later,he called and said it would be about $1300. I asked how that could be. Eddie said it needed new belts and a new radiator. I told him the belts were replaced about a year ago and to forget about replacing the radiator (as Sun Auto didn't mention a bad radiator) Well, he said the belts had gotten coolant on them. I told him the belts would stay on. The price we finally settled on was $636, a 30% increase from his quote on Friday. For that, Sun, after I called them back, had quoted $700 and never mentioned the radiator. I should have left it there and I would have had it back on Saturday. Definitely finding someone other than Jack's. Used to love this place when Jack and his sons were there. But, Jack brought his brother Eddie in from Texas and, at least for me, things started going downhill. I took my car in a few months ago, because one of the headlights wasn't working. 8 hours later found out it was a fuse and got charged 135 bucks. Yesterday, I took it in for an oil leak. Got a call that it was the rocker arm cover and it would be $1,400. I asked why so expensive and was told he recommended we change some sensors, at the same time, with an upcharge of 200. What else, I asked: well might as well change the.oil for 50 bucks. It seems Eddie always wants to upsell, always at my expense.. I'm not asking him to remove the engine, just change a gasket. My daughter took her car in about 6 months ago for a brake job. Fine, but she got a call that they broke something during the repair and, although they wouldn't charge her for labor, they were charging her for the parts, a couple of hundred bucks. A brake job cost her well over $1,000 and left her without a car for days. She's taken the same car several times because the "check engine" light keeps coming on. She pays to fix it and within a day, the light comes back on. She was told that the sensor was bad; they changed it and the light cam .back on Each visit, she's charged for,but the car doesn't get fixed. I'll probably look for another shop.

Took my car in for what I assumed was a broken fuel pump. Jack & Sons diagnosed it as a broken fuel pump. They updated me daily on the status of my repair, offering options (such as whether to have their technician spend time diagnosing or have me take my car directly into the dealership), and generally being great at customer service. They did have a part mixup, but it was an honest one; the Ford rep they ordered from suggested a part that ended up not being correct. Took an extra day to resolve but they installed the part and the bill was very reasonable. Overall I recommend these guys. In talking with the owner he asked me how I found out about them and I mentioned their online reviews. He said they don't do any advertising because word of mouth keeps them busy. I believe him.

This place was recommended by a friend of a friend upon our move to Vegas and since the first visit we've been going ever since! You know a mechanic is honest when you go to them for an oil change and complete check up on your car (after driving it 1800 miles) and not only do they check it out and drive it they then tell you there is absolutely nothing wrong with it! Didn't even need a tune up! If you're a female and you've ever been ripped off by a mechanic then you know exactly what I mean! They may cost a little more but for me peace of mind is worth it because I know that when they tell me something is wrong IT REALLY IS! 😊

I moved here to Las Vegas about a year ago and was very nervous to take my truck to a shop to get it fixed. I looked a reviews from many places and one common one I saw from Jack and Sons was their honesty. I took a chance and brought my truck in. I thought I had a lifter tick and was expecting to spend a lot of money. They told me that the cause of the noise was that the bolts that help my exhaust manifold started coming loose. I was expecting them to say I will need a brand new exhaust manifold but they said you only need to just tighten the bolts and you will be good. I'm so happy with my experience with Jack and Sons and will recommend them to anybody.

I have to give it up to them. I brought my truck in person A/C Repair. They did the job, but it didn’t hold up. Did the job again and it held up for a good minute and even though it was six months later, when I gave out again, they brought it in and fixed it and it’s been great.

It's extremely difficult to find an honest mechanic and I believe this shop is the best! As an example, one of the issues we took our car in for was warm air conditioning. We assumed it needed to be serviced and recharged, guessing that would cost around $150. When we went to pick the car up, they send the air was fine...the problem was that only the driver's vent was kept open. We thought if there is only a driver in the car, closing the other vents was more efficient. That's wrong, all the vents should be kept open for maximum efficiency. I never knew that and I believe any other shop would have opened the vents, told us they serviced it and charged us. Everything else we had done was reasonably priced. We've come here several times and are always treated right. I recommend Jack & Sons to everyone!

Do not choose this automotive repair shop for any service and or repair. We had these guys perform an HVAC air box overhaul on an older 2000s Dodge pickup. Once the repairs were complete we were required to bring back the vehicle three different times for faulty craftsmanship concerns. IE: items left loose, things not properly repaired and items that needed to be replaced again. At the fourth and final time we were informed that the heater core would need to be replaced within 6 months, we were flabbergasted when we found out that we would have to pay the $2,000 to have the dash removed again in 6 months. That seems like something that should have been done when the dash was out. They wouldn't admit fault and did not attempt to work with us to resolve the issue, they merely informed us that they do not replace parts that are not broken. We would never request parts that are not broken to be replaced, rather we would hope, that as professional technicians they would be aware of costs involved with removing the dash again and as a preventative, inform us with "hey, we have the dash out and we would recommend replacing the heater core since the vehicle is over 20 years old and we are able to repair it now since the dash is out.". These are by far, the epitome of shade tree mechanics. They are parts changers. Do not take your vehicle here, you will be taken advantage of, they do not care for the consumer, just out to take your money.

My boyfriend took his 2014 Volkswagen Jetta here, and we got great service. We came in Monday morning close to opening with no appointment, but they were able to see us at a reasonable time and make the initial fix the same day. They did warn us that the piece they replaced needed to be changed in order for them to know if there were any other issues... When my boyfriend came to pick up the car, it still didn't start but they were able to quickly diagnose why and tried to fix the car same day. They needed to get a new part and they told us to come back tomorrow and they'll have it fixed and they did.

While I haven't had the opportunity to utilize Jack and Son's Automotive for repairs, a recent chance encounter with the owner, presumably Jack, left me concerned about their customer service approach. **Unpleasant First Impression:** I recently crossed paths with Jack, and during our brief interaction, his demeanor was quite off-putting. My questions about the shop's services were met with curt replies, often interrupted with impatience. It felt like there was no interest in building rapport or understanding my needs. **Disrespectful Attitude:** This lack of respect became particularly evident when Jack made assumptions about my car knowledge. Despite not being a mechanic myself, I wasn't seeking a lecture on basic car functions. His condescending tone, as if explaining things to a child, was not only rude but irrelevant to my ability to be a paying customer. **Transparency Concerns:** When I inquired about potential service costs, Jack was evasive and offered no concrete figures. He heavily pushed for me to leave my car for a full diagnostic, which felt more like a pressure tactic than a genuine recommendation. Without upfront cost estimates, it was difficult to feel comfortable moving forward, and my hesitation seemed to further irritate him. **Customer Service Matters:** Choosing a mechanic relies heavily on trust and clear communication. This brief encounter with Jack unfortunately painted a picture of a business that prioritizes neither. In a competitive service industry, customer service is key. This experience has discouraged me from ever considering Jack and Son's for future car repairs. **Seeking Alternatives:** Fortunately, there are many reputable auto repair shops that prioritize customer experience. I would strongly recommend potential customers look elsewhere for a service provider who treats them with respect and professionalism, regardless of their age or car knowledge.

Another exceptional result from Jack and Sons. We’ve been having our vehicles serviced here for over 10 years. Kenny and his crew are the best and best of all they are fair and honest!! My car was making a noise and I actually took it to the dealer and they told me that they couldn’t find anything however it continued to make the clanking noise. Well I took it to Kenny and he found that the dealer had left some bolts that hold the motor mount loose that were not supposed to be loose. He said that it could have been worse if I kept driving it like this. I only take my car to the dealer for oil changes because it’s 5 min away. That will be the last time. It is best to stick to who you know and know that they treat you right and are honest even if you have to travel a bit more. Kenny you know we love you guys and thank you so much for all your hard work and your exceptional service. Mayelin and Ernesto

I’ve been taking my Hondas and Toyotas here for over a decade and every time I do I am reminded why. These guys are just honest and do great work. As someone who doesn’t know much about cars, you’re always looking for someone who won’t take advantage of you and do good work. These guys are it. Will keep coming here as long as I live in Vegas. You should too.

Just an update. I had my 2002 gmc pickup in for a transmission leak. It turned out to be a very difficult non-standard leak, but they handled it without missing a stride. I have referred so many over there and I am the hero now, because my friends were also well taken care off. The owner, Kenny, is fabulous. Great wrencher and person. Honest and polite. Absolutely the best down to earth people. Always willing to help and have an honest discussion about your car. Love these guys. Once again, the best place. Dropped off the truck for oil changes

Outstanding Experience. My brother referred me to this shop and I dropped off my college daughter’s Toyota Corolla. We live in the far SE of Henderson but I’m so glad we used this shop. Direct and honest communication is so refreshing. Excellent work and a place I completely trust.
