Did not know what was wrong with my vehicle and could not fix it and still charged me to look at my Toyota. Not qualified to work on Japanese autos!Do not recommend to anyone!

Hard to rate a company off of a phone call. I detailed a wiring issue, but it sounded like they didn't want to get tied up with it. Perhaps, they are just that busy.

BEWARE!! Brought in a Toyota Rav4 with a steering problem. Charged $90 to only be told "Problem in the electrical portion of steering. No cure found". Vehicle was fixed by McKinnon by replacing a broken part in the steering column. Showed them the McKinnon invoice with description of work performed. No apology for ripping us off!! BEWARE!!

timely service, honest assessments, and very competitive tire rates. Christy and Ronnie are great folks and I've used them for years throughout multiple owned japanese based vehicles.

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had. I was charged 3x’s as much as the part cost and when I inquired about seeing the actual invoice for the part I was met with extreme anger and humiliation, the owner told me I was gonna pay him Cash and when I said I would odd him in CC like I originally started he called the police on me. Needless to say I would never recommend them to my worst enemy. They are horrible people!!!

Owner is plain talker and knowledgeable. Christie makes it all work. Good People. We all struggle with placing trust in auto repair shops. You can trust this one. Have used them 10 times or more.

I was referred to them, and was told that they were honest, and good at what they do, and I must say that they didn't disappoint. I will forever be a return customer, and will gladly refer friends. Thank you for such a great job on my Avalon!!!

Ronnie at Japanese Auto is amazing. Very professional, honest, and kind. Christy in the office is great as well. As a female I completely trust them and the work they do. I NEVER have to be worried about being taken advantage of.

I came here while visiting from out of town in a little bit of a panic because my check engine light had come on while driving to Montgomery. The owners were very kind and flexible in doing a same day diagnostic for me on the spot. They could have easily taken advantage of me since I was far from home and am not particularly knowledgeable about cars. Instead, they put my mind at ease and did not even charge for the diagnostic test. I was in, out, and on the road in less than 15 minutes. If I lived in the Montgomery area, I would definitely come here again.

I was in the tire and auto repair business as a teen in highschool working in VoTech. I knew that wasn’t for me and some classmates were like car genius that now work at Japanese Auto. Ronnie and his guys are the A team of mechanics and I have never questioned anything they do. It’s a fraction of the dealer costs, but the best thing is his whole team is trustworthy and that’s one thing I have rarely seen in the auto repair business. Seeing some of the negative reviews that say “charged me $90 to diagnose but not repaired” is suspect but if the dealer fixed it why would you take to them to begin with? Maybe a warranty part or recall? Parts in the steering column don’t just break dude and if so it’s a huge liability for Toyota. Don’t judge based off comments that seem misleading. Last time I checked the mechanics don’t work for their health and $90 for diagnosis. Please tell how and what you paid McKinnon, because if it wasn’t a recall I’m gonna bet you paid at least, $1000. Toyotas warranty is far longer on those parts vs drivetrain.

Ronnie Lindsey has been taking care of my vehicles for years. He has been a supporter of River Region Iron Works Ministry - What's @ Stake for years as well. My first encounter with Ronnie was when I sold him a yearbook ad for Alabama Christian Academy my senior year in 1985. That's been a few vehicles ago...
