This place is FANTASTIC! I have had several experiences with Jax, ranging from oil changes to more major work on my car, as well as body repair work. Every time they have done excellent work at a fair price, and will often try to find you discounts if they can. Most importantly--they're really honest! If they tell you something needs to be fixed, it really does and vice versa--they will not try to sell you anything or try to convince you to do repair work if it is not needed. Everyone is very knowledgeable, and I have always been treated with kindness and respect by everyone whom I've interacted with. I really trust these guys! Specific examples: My car was making loud noises from my wheels and it sounded like bad wheel bearings. They test drove my car several times and told me that it was simple tire noise, not a wheel bearing. My tires would need to be replaced in 6 months, but nothing was wrong with my car. And they didn't charge me anything! Wheel bearings are expensive to replace, and I sincerely appreciated their honesty. Most recently, my "check engine" light came on, and I needed to repair this ASAP so I could pass my smog test. They worked with my car extensively to determine the problem, taking a step-wise approach to try to save money and avoid unnecessary repairs. They went above and beyond to make sure that my car would pass certification, which it did with flying colors. It's a great place to take your car!

Overall I'm very happy with the service I received at Jax. They were able to fix the problem I couldn't figure out on my own with my car and in a very quick and timely manner. I was a bit bummed out that I had to spend so much, but I'm not upset with Jax, more so against GM for building such a poorly designed car. I can't say enough great things about Jax Auto. Jack is one of the most genuine people you'll ever meet, and between he and Calvin, we always know we're getting expert advice on what our vehicles ACTUALLY need, and at the most reasonable prices possible. Their work is always the best quality, and the prices are always more than fair. Even more valuable is the peace of mind knowing we can absolutely trust that we're always being given honest, necessary advice and that the work being done is of the highest quality. We've been frequenting Jax for around 7 years now, and in that time we have also purchased 2 vehicles from Jack when our old ones were in need of upgrades. It was such a stress-free experience because we knew the used cars we were buying were in tip-top shape and that the price was just what we were looking for. I've gone to them a couple times for oil changes, as a closer back up to my typical mechanic. I prefer places like this for oil changes rather than drive thru spots where I've had bad experiences and check engine lights go off after the change. Good solid work, no confusing offers or charges, made recommendations without pressuring. Organized and seems family run.

Found them on Google and tried them out today for oil change, and I think I will definitely come back for other services in the future. Carlos was very friendly and just a kind hearted soul, he answered all my questions I had about my car and explained thoroughly so that I can understand in plain language. 40 years ago, I was new to the area and I was searching for an honest mechanic to fix my car. While driving home from a long commute from Torrance, I stopped by a gas station in Brea which had a car maintenance building on the premises, and there I met Jack. I explained to Jack what I thought was needed for my auto problem and he responded by saying we could take care of it by just addressing this particular component. I disagreed with him and I said that I think you have to do more than what he was proposing. Sure enough, Jack was right. The cost was minimal and Jack won my trust in him. He could have replaced a lot of components and made a ton of money from me, but he said being honest and trustworthy goes a long way in his type of business. I met many people who I did not know personally who had similar experience’s. Jack is like your personal doctor who you know will give you that highest care possible.
