I was not familiar with the new "MRI" system of scanning your vehicle as I was pulling up. Stephen explained and I was paying attention to the previous car's profile. It seemed an invasion of privacy for the next customer to have a full look of your vehicle like that. I also didn't like the pressure of seeing a recommendation upfront like that (i.e. alignment) and asking to you want to get that done. This was all before an experienced mechanic looked at the vehicle and see more internally. Positively, the vehicle was completed in 2 hours from drop off. I always appreciate the drop off and pick up service so that I can come to work instead of waiting in the lobby.

I must admit this was not a good experience for me this time. This transmission replacement took entirely too long in my opinion. I found out your dealership is very understaffed. Having more vehicles in your service area than on your lot to sell is not a good sign. Perhaps working a little overtime would correct some issues in the service department. This is the second GMC truck in a row I have had to replace the transmission in. First one was out of warranty and cost me dearly. But it come with a 100k warranty. This time at only 57k miles on a 2023 model is very disheartening. When the transmission started acting up I called for an appointment. I was told due to the work load I had to wait 2 weeks before I could bring it in. Your service tech could not find any issue untill I went for a drive with him. Once he saw what it doing he explained they would have to drop the pan and check for metal in the fluids. After a 5 hour wait at the dealership I asked what was found and was told I was 3rd in line for that. It was the following Wednesday when I was told a new transmission would be needed. It was ordered and showed up the next day. It still took another full week to get it replaced. During this extended wait I did considerable research and found out GM transmissions have had significant issues since 2015. As well as several class action lawsuits. I was told this new transmission is only covered by a 24,000 Mile warranty when the one I replaced and paid out of pocket was 100,000 Mile warranty? Needless to say it is very unlikely I will ever purchase another GMC vehicle or use Jim Taylor service department for service Miss Amy and Miss carol were always professional and sympathetic when I would inquire about my truck. The problem seems to be upper managements ability to see that customer service must be a priority if they want to stay in business!

Jim Taylor’s service team was fantastic. They did everything in their power to take care of me and my vehicle even when no one could figure out what was wrong. They never gave up and made sure everything got covered under warranty. My only suggestion would be to make constant communication with the customer when things take longer than expected. From start to finish, the repairs and testing on my car took about 5 months. For the better part of that five months, there was very little communication from the service advisors that wasn’t prompted by me calling them each week for an update. However, Amy was awesome and always answered all of my questions. Thank you to everyone involved!

The person that waited on me (Stephen) deserve a 5 stars rating but the people that removed the plastic protection that I had over my control panel and also set my A.C. all the way down to 66 degrees, which I always turn off b 4 I power off my vehicle gets a 0 rating for messing with my control panel. I didn't want to make Jim Taylor look to bad because of what one person did so that's why I gave a 3 Star rating. Over All, they are a good Dealership to do business with. We've been with them for 11 years and Mr Charles Williams has helped us purchase 4 vehicles since 2015.
